You prolly dont care but if you're stoned like me atm you can watch all the latest series on instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my girlfriend for the last couple of weeks xD
It's impressive when he plays fast but it doesn't move me. I feel like a lot of drummers nowadays focus on speed because of this guy and don't really focus on groove any more imho
@@jangobango2847 No would dispute Eric's feel he is one of my favorite drummers ever, drummers like Gadd may not have the hand and foot technique of Eric but have technique of "natural feel" Think more artist then drummer ..
@@Mikeluvdrums I can't stand this constant debate or argument especially when it comes to debating new cat's against greats drummers who pioneered drumming. It's shows a lack of respect & ignorance of understanding. If it wasn't for drummers like Gadd & Perdi, the drum world wouldn't be as advanced as it is, period. I'm with you Mike, to back you up all people have to do is listen to "Steely Dan - Aja" Steve Gadd, never heard the song b4 he got to the studio and tracked Aja in 20 minutes, DONE! And the entire band tracked Aja altogether live, when Gadd started playing it was so shocking to other players in the studio, that they got distracted and had to rerecord portions of their parts later from being in awe. Mic drop!
@Jonathan, Nah, brother don't get it twisted Eric has skills, but IDK about he's why drummers are now playing fast? I mean especially if you're talking about these new cat's like Yussef Dayes, Nate Smith, Louis Cole, Mike Portnoy, JD Beck, Danny Carey, etc... That drum style came long before Eric, if I had to pick any drummer their influence comes from it's "Billy Cobham" Go listen to Billy's LP Spectrum 1973, 1st song you'll hear the blatant ripoff Alex Van Halen got for his most known drum beat on "Hot For Teacher" & the 2nd song will give you an idea of the influence Cobham had on many drummers in what we're talking about here?
This is probably the best solo I've seen from Eric yet. He's definitely evolving. There's much less shredding and more musicality than ever before.
You mean he's getting even better !! oh ...

I like the fact that now he plays more dynamic and musical than 10 years ago

Free ?! Thank goodness. Next one will be 'Cash or Card'. 😀
Wickedly performed. Pro TIP: Watch at .75x speed to break down his spell.

👍🏻
Omg
He eric, funny, using the suffle of a song eros ramazotti
This was so intense I'm lying in bed smoking a cigarette after watching this solo.
cracked
I`ve expected 5 minutes of tasteless chopping out, but this is pretty musical. Good job!
Def need faster framerate... why did they upload it with such a slow one
Yep.. I quit!!

Yep ! Steve Gadd or Benard Perdi will move you every time..
You do realize most shredders of Erics skill level can play amazingly deep in the pocket, even when blazing fills

Is he back with Zildjian? Or was this filmed before his Paiste fling?
We recorded his courses and this performance right before he switched to Paiste.

Billy Cobham should be worried.
If Eric was a carpenter, he'd only have a chain saw.
...yet the painter still wouldn't need to caulk/or merely find = one single crack.
ok well...
😂
back from when he was with a good cymbal company :)
You should change your name to superman! Holy fucking cow…lol
