20 years ago two brothers must’ve had an incredible dream that has grown into this great organization that reaches worldwide. We are fortunate to be alive during this magical time. I’m very thankful for the two Smith brothers. May your dream live on. Blessings.
Luke Mayernik wrote the most incredible Maundy Thursday piece, worth a listen for anyone looking for some liturgical music next Holy Week, Mandatum Novum
The Lamb, written by William Blake is part of his poetry cycle, Songs of Innocence. He wrote a twin collection, Songs of Experience , of which The Tiger is most well known. The " Tiger, burning bright in the forest of the night," represents the glow of the industrial revolution. God's peaceful and innocent creation, The Lamb, representing Jesus, is contrasted by The Tiger, mans fierce destructive nature. As we face the decimation of innocence and the natural world by the corporate one, Blake's poetry is more relevant than ever. Thank you Voces 8 for bringing Blake's masterpiece so beautifully back to the fore.
Most grateful for VOCES8 to continue bringing us these beautiful sounds. Molly performs with such confidence and although her voice is quite different from Eleanor's she brings a welcome new sound to the choir. Best wishes for this New Year.
Wow, sublime 😮 Thank you, Molly, for showcasing your soloist timbre, the composer for this wonderful piece and all of you for the serene and spiritual rendition 😍
What an amazing treat to find out that one of the loveliest and most talented people I knew from San Francisco Conservatory has achieved such marvelous success. Luke’s music has always touched my heart!! Congratulations my old friend!!! 🙏🩵🩵
WOW! Goosebumps when I hear this harmony from the wonderful vocal prowess of VOCES8. Great solos, Molly! I love you all so much. Thank you all for sharing your musical gifts with us all. 🎶
I was shortlisted for this competition, so I was interested to hear the piece that beat me!... I love it. It's a well-crafted, thoughtful piece that stays with you after you hear it. Clever harmony and changing textures that feel natural but original, always supporting the text.👏
Una voz celestial y un coro de ángeles rematan tan dulce pieza musical, escucharla es un gozo espiritual para Adviento y Navidad. Enhorabuena VOCES8. 🎄💗🎄
Thank you for this Christmas gift. Molly Noon's voice and style so beautifully featured here, her lingering clear bell-like tones . . .so beautiful, and, amazingly, unbelievably, this sound emitting with her mouth hardly open . . . like it is coming from her soul or heart . . . just gazed in astonishment. So lovely. Merry Christmas.
Serene, peaceful, beautiful. An amazing composition, scored perfectly for VOCES8. It brought goosebumps and moist eyes. Just right for this season and this chaos. Bravo, VOCES8.
Really lovely! This resonates with me as it is the first ever song I learned by heart in the only music lesson as a very young child in one brief school placement somewhere in Portsmouth in the early 60s. The G. J. Elvey version now I find.
Little lamb, who made thee? Dost thou know who made thee, Gave thee life, and bid thee feed By the stream and o'er the mead; Gave thee clothing of delight, Softest clothing, woolly, bright; Gave thee such a tender voice, Making all the vales rejoice? Little lamb, who made thee? Dost thou know who made thee? Little lamb, I'll tell thee; Little lamb, I'll tell thee: He is called by thy name, For He calls Himself a Lamb. He is meek, and He is mild, He became a little child. I a child, and thou a lamb, We are called by His name. Little lamb, God bless thee! Little lamb, God bless thee! William Blake

It’s rather sad that this piece started out promisingly. It then turned into a very typical “modern composition”, that lacks style and effect. The harmony is, for me, quite unpleasant. Why do all modern composers sound the same? - I’m a classically/baroque and renaissance trained musician.
😅Sublime as ever. Particularly lovely to hear Molly's unaffected soprano in the forefront. Charming escape from this mad world!
Amen. ❤. What a blessing sound.
Merry Christmas, Voces8 Thank You For This Beautiful Christmas Gift Of Music 🎶
It's not just music, it's much more... it's a deep prayer, more majestic than the Universe. I've discovered that I see the Creator. Peace
Peace to you! ❤

Beautiful ❤
Immaculate tuning!
Wasn’t sure Tavener’s setting of Blake needed a successor, but this is a worthy one. And perfectly performed, as literally always.
If the text is strong enough, it will never run out composers seeking to interpret it.
I love it, I love it, I love it. It is Love, it is Light, it is truth. Thank you so much. God bless you! ✨🕯🎄
Absolutely stunning. This breaks open my heart in the best of ways 💥♥️💥
How very beautiful! The composer's tasteful and sparing use of dissonance is most welcome. Happy Christmas VOCES8 and Mr. Mayernik!

Such a beautiful and peaceful composition wonderfully performed ⭐️❤️⭐️
Molly has an orgasmic voice- I love it!
First!
Just the right amount of dissonance to make it pleasurable.
What language is that in?
English. The old one. You can find lyrics in the description box.

Incredible voices. It’s distracting to hear the soprano sliding to so many of her notes while everyone else manages to land spot on their’s.
It’s rather sad that this piece started out promisingly. It then turned into a very typical “modern composition”, that lacks style and effect.
