I think it is very sweet and thoughtful of you to post these videos on your feeding tube and the different processes you go through. There probably isn't a lot of information out there for people who are needing some instruction.

Thank you for sharing. I’m a retired nurse, did you ever try using the special powder I think it is spelled korehia . Then you take a 4x4 and a patch it’s clear and place it on the top of the stoma. It might help ! I have other suggestions to try if you want, just let me know. I used to work on a cancer floor in the hospital.

I think it’s amazing that you are sharing this info. My late husband had a colostomy and had to have what some people call a bag, but my half sister who also had one for years was able to give us needed info. She preferred calling it an appliance. Without her I would have been lost. Hubby had leakage problems too and we found a seal that worked on him. She had worse leakage and didn’t know about the seal we used. It ended up helping her. So putting this type of info out there can help others and maybe yourself from others. God bless you.

Great job explaining all about it. My Dad had a feeding tube & he had similar problems when he first had his PEG put in, so ended up in the hospital for about 3 weeks while they fixed up the issues. Once the wound healed on his stomach it was very helpful for increasing his nutrition as by then he couldn't swallow any food. I hope & pray the tubes were changed over smoothly with as little pain as possible. Praying for it to heal quickly. 🥰Blessings from South Australia💕🐨

I believe Kayla's auto immune conditions destroyed her esophagus so she has scarring and narrowing. She can only sip small amounts liquids or soft foods. People like that need feeding tubes to supplement. So they feed both ways. Some cancer people feed only by tube.
