We're not completely on the other side of the world, but here in Alaska it is currently 49 degrees 😮 the hottest it has gotten all summer is 68 degrees. My mom came to visit from Florida and wore her coat the whole time she was here.

You asked what would melt in your mouth...Cheetos. My father in law had swallowing issues and that was his favorite snack. He would let them melt in his mouth. Even the crunchy ones. He also loved my stew I made in the crock pot. He couldn't eat the beef, but he said the broth was flavored by it. He mashed the potatoes and the carrots and the broth together and loved it! I hope this helps, but I know everyone has different health issues. His was throat cancer and couldn't swallow down his esophagus. Bless you and I wish you all well. ❤
Stew and soup broth are so delicious and nutritious that I can understand why he liked it. Now I want some beef stew!

It’s hot here in central Virginia too, so I’ve been staying in today. I do most of my running around during the week when traffic is thinner and there aren’t so many shoppers in the stores. On weekends, it’s just too busy out there for this 71 year old homebody! I’ve been working on finances--I am tracking everything we spend since 2024 began because I want to show my husband that he can retire too. He has cut back on his work, but it’s still hard on him. He is a self employed piano tuner and repair man. His back, shoulders and hands give him a fit nowadays. But he pushes through it.
I sure enjoyed our chat, and I pray you can get some rest.

How incredibly wonderful for you, Kayla! Woo hoooooo! My Dad had a feeding tube & he couldn't feed himself either as he had Motor Neuron Disease, which I think they call it ALS in the USA. Anyhow, it was rough for him & I fed him many times through his PEG. His stomach got infected initially around the tube site too. I remember how rough it was when you first got yours! I hope & pray you can find other foods that you enjoy that will be easy for you to eat when Big Daddy isn't home. 🥰Blessings from South Australia💕🐨

I so understand.before my illnesses i could whip up anything in a heart beat. Now i am trying to show myself grace. Small things don't work.i need easy projects that make me feel productive. I love making Ophelia 's reading shawl.😂 Lots of friends have some nice cowls too

Your hat turned out cute.♥I know you were thrilled to be able to eat those tamales, glad to hear you found you can eat them and enjoy. Make your own meringue cookies they are very easy, you can also add almond flavoring, vanilla flavoring or mint flavoring if you like, here is the recipe from the channel Come sit at My Table,
Meringues: 7egg whites, 3 scant cups Confectioners Sugar, 1 scant teaspoon cream of tartar, 1/2 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 225°. Whisk egg whites with an electric mixer until foamy. Add sugar slowly and then add the salt and cream of tartar. Beat until the mixture holds stiff peaks and is shiny like satin.
Spoon or pipe the meringue onto parchment paper lined cookie sheets in small mounds. Place the meringues in the preheated oven and place a wooden spoon handle in the door to keep it from closing all the way. Bake three hours or just until the meringues are dry and can be easily removed from the cookie sheet. Allow to cool completely before storing in an airtight container at room temperature. 
NOTE: Making meringues on a humid day may cause them to become sticky after they cool.
Things that melt in your mouth. Cheese balls, baby yogurt melts they are yummy with different flavors, baby food is good too in the pouches.

I had about 12 zucchini from the garden I made into zucchini noodles and froze today, that wasn’t very fun but I know when winter hits I will be thankful I have them in the freezer to use. Hi kayla, yay! You have enjoyed something you have been able to eat!. Thats awesome!. Have you tried farleys rusks with milk?. Or on their own?. Weetabix with milk mashed up?. My dad had throat cancer and could only eat things like this plus mash potatoes and gravy. All blended up. Bless him. He had cancer in his lungs & liver too. Such a traumatic terrible time!. It spread to his bones. But these are somethings he could eat for a few weeks. Your hat looks awesome! Looks really nice on you!. The granny square child's wearable is a great idea!.
