One of the best q50 channels on youtube. many are leaving unfortunately for higher model cars like bmw, mercedes, etc. but you continue to use the infiniti platform.
Thanks man. I haven’t had any subscribers leave thankfully, but I’m glad people are experiencing new cars. The ultimate goal of the channel was to expose people to all sorts of vehicles and not necessarily focus on one model, but there is a lot more that can be done with the Q and as the prices get better, more people will pick them up and start modding so they will need this channel!
Just picked up a ‘15 Q50 last week. I’m tryna put together a unique exhaust set up in a few months, something a lil different that I haven’t seen others do so let’s see how it goes. Been watching your videos for a while now and definitely gave me some ideas, keep it up man!
@B9 AS4P I'm running a Megan Y Pipe, ISR Test Pipes, 2 21 inch Wicked Flow resonators, out of 2 more 9 inch Wicked Flow resonators (as mufflers) flowing through 2.5 inch piping and it sounds really good bro...not too many people running a setup like mine and I get compliments on how good it sounds.
The beauty of a custom setup is that you can change things up and be unique. I live the idea of trying different things-I went through 3-4 versions testing things out. Ultimately, my suggestion is to use large resonators and several of them if you use test pipes. They flow straight through with no restriction but reduce rasp significantly, which you will have to account for with the VQ unless you like rasp.
Speed Culture Studios yup that’s true, a custom set up can sound how you want. I’m trying to get it right so I don’t have to end up swapping things out lol. I do like just a hint of rasp, nothing crazy, to give it a bit more of a tone to it. Also debating if I should go 2.25 or 2.5 for piping since I wanna run a full custom cat back from my exhaust shop. I know 2.25 seems to provide a bit more torque and this engine can use every bit of it haha
Ahh dude i wish i woulda known haha I would’ve sent mine. I just recently got the catback system installed with the factory cat. Sounds great!! Thanks again, im enjoying it a whole lot more
hey i got the speed culture exhaust on my 3.7 and on my 3.0 it does not sound half as good on my 3,0 but on the 3,7 it is insane thanks again culture you did it your exhaust is legendary super lance 7
@@SpeedCultureStudios Oh nice that’s good to know. Some aftermarket options don’t usually have good sound resonators but yours definitely does have good resonators and the H-Pipe is also good.
Nice! 💪yours sounds the best, right next to motordyne (imo), but who wants to pay that price. I skipped the q50 at the last minute and ended up with a 370z nismo. Still might look into this setup later on for the Z🤔
Honestly, if you revved this setup next to a motordyne, 99% wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. And to be honest, of all of the motordyne Qs I’ve heard, this setup sounds cleaner. I hate rasp, and the motordyne gets tinny at higher rpm. Mine does not. The borla pro xs is the key. And you’re right, for the money, it’s no contest! I’d love to hear this on a z!
It’s a custom system man, you can make anything work! Check check the space where the y pipe is currently and see if you have room for the borla pro xs. If so, then it’ll work for sure. If not, we just have to find an alternative to the borla.
I have a question i love the sound of it but I will be having a flame tune and I want to know if the parts you linked are good quality enough to be able to last with the flames and pops ?
Not sure if I ask you this, but do you think quad exhaust tips will fit on the stock Q50 bumper w/o any adjustments? The outlets for the one I'm getting is 3.5 inches.
I have a resonated h pipe with 2 18 in vibrant resonators (not installed yet) do you think it'll sound similar to yours? I was thinking maybe to get ultra quiet resonators maybe instead.
I would not get ultra quiets if you still have factory cats. I assume you have a muffler delete or you're going to? It'll sound nice with the vibrant resonators you have.
Is this just as loud as muffler delete and test pipes. This sounds just like when I only had a muffler delete. But now I have muffler delete and isr test pipes and it’s loud but really raspy. Will adding only the mid muffler leave the same loudness but with less rasp?
Currently running Beluga Racing resonated test pipes with the invidia Gemini catback.. absolutely hate the low rpm rasp from the test pipes.. any ideas how to minimize the rasp would be appreciated ! Keep up the nice videos bro
Speed Culture Studios so after replacing gaskets, even flipping the X pipe & doing everything possible to stop the rattling my mechanic determined there has to be a defect with the pass through X pipe causing a rattle even at idle.. I just put a warranty claim in with Invidia, hopefully they resolve my issues.
PJ a lot of times that rattling is mistaken for a defect when really it is just a form of rasp. I dealt with that with my initial setup. Chased rattles for weeks. Changed gaskets, re-welded joints. Finally added larger resonators and it went away.
This is a way better setup. Muffler delete is fine, but doesn’t doubt as refined as this. If you cut off the muffler, just be sure to keep the resonators and don’t touch the cats. If you plan to install test pipes, you’ll definitely want to consider this.
Question, my 2018 vr30 exhaust setup is HKS full dual exhaust, x1 full catted downpipes and red alpha intakes. Will this setup shoot flames with the proper map from z1 and ecutek?
How is the drone? Im thinking about running this on my G37 since we have the same motor and I have ran a muffler delete before. Will this be quieter? I don't want it to be as loud as a muffler delete.

Dual 3.5” tips? I don’t think they would fit the opening.
