Thanks! That little bit about disengaging the cable from the clutch lever in order to fasten the bracket bolts was a big help.

that plate mounted onto the sly wheel is a pain to get back on. I have a 07 ninja 650r.
I lost a screw I'm still looking for. It's laying somewhere in the bike. I have to get the notch out of my clutch grip because the old one broke off in there. It's been a pain.
However thank you for the video.
The screws on mine are off set so I have to use a swivel on my ratchet extension.
That dang plate has been a real piece of work

This is a lot of pointless work. The plate with the round guide doesn't need to be taken off; the guide doesn't go all around, and it's meant to let you slide in the wire after you pop the rubber accordion-like thingie off the end of it. Connect wire to tab on engine, slide in guide, pop accordion back on, guide the wire up to the handlebars, hook up to lever.

Do you know what the part number is? I'm looking for the cable on a kawasaki oem parts site and I'm getting confused between these different cables. I'm trying to replace the same exact one as you.

Notice that you are on Oahu. Can you show me how to do this in person?

Steve Viscuso Just a noob at DIY things on my bike. The only thing I know is how to change my oil. I can try figure it out, but don't want to risk breaking anything.

I just bought a clutch cable but it was missing that metal piece that screws in. Where did you buy yours? I can't find one that has the metal piece on it

Same issue. Did you get your issue resolved? If so, let me know where you found the bracket as I can't reuse my stock one

Do you need to lubricate the new bought cable or it comes pre-lubricated?

You shouldn't need to. They come out the box perfect.
