I really appreciate the reviews of HPT stuff on this channel. I hope we get to see the new track saw!

I find it kinda humorous how the saws are never powerful enough for some. Their old model 36v saw will outrun a corded worm drive, but it’s still “lacking in power?” Sure there might be more powerful saws on the market, but there’s a limit to how fast a person can cut accurately, and these saws keep up just fine. I use my old model on the job site nearly daily, and I’ve never found it to be lacking in power for any practical use. Also, the rafter hook might not get in the way as much if you put your support hand on the front handle?? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Agree. Irony is power tool fans making fun of iPhone users rushing to get the latest hot product with features they will never benefit from because marketing. Or buying $80,000 pickup trucks that are exactly the same as the $40,000 version but with more speakers.
Now if you'll excuse me I Gotta run to Lowes and save 0.0001 seconds by getting that latest impact driver I saw on the internet.

Compared to the other 40v line from Makita and Dewalt Flexvolt, this saw feels miles behind in features and power.

My point is that few people will ever NEED the power that those saws provide, because you can only cut accurately so fast. The Metabo HPT has more than sufficient power for anything practical.

@@UltimateToolReviews Just dotting the T's by asking, but did you happen to turn off Quiet Mode when pushing it? Just wondering if there is another mode that unlocks more potential.
      Cheers.

I tried on and off, definitely a good boost in power with it off but not huge, it's also much louder.

Hey There! Great Review! The button actually toggles the motor between High Torque Mode and the Auto-Switching Mode that changes on the fly from high torque to high RPM depending on the difficulty of the cut.

I got one of these the other day for a Good Friday sale and I got an impact also and it's my first time buying metabo tools and I've been looking for a new tool brand and I can honestly say I am 100% satisfied with the saw. I've been using it for 2 days straight and haven't had to charge it yet it's only bogged down on me once and I was really pushing it it has more power than my Porter cable corded saw. It's quiet and it's really not heavy and has a lot of adjustment and a nice features it doesn't feel like it's lacking in inequality in the plastics or design. Metabo is probably going to be my new brand. And to let you know if you're by metabo HPT tools their batteries fit on the Japanese hikoki

They have some amazing deals on tools, Ryobi pricing at near Makita level of quality. They are my secondary brand of tools I use daily.

It surprising to see this saw weigh almost as much as Metabo HPT's rear handled beast and not much less than a DeWalt Flexvolt saw with 9Ah battery.

It's cool that MHPT is putting out lots of new tools, but my G1 18v and 36v brushless tools work great for me. The track saw should be nice, though.

Workshopaddict did a review, but you can't find that video anymore. I am waiting for some kind of deal. The first gen model is still relevant because that's what I use when I am dealing with plexiglass. It's the only model right now that can cut through plastic without melting it. My only issue with Metabo HPT right now is that they need to stop cutting corners and that's what they did on this model. I know they cut down the weigh, but the 18v counter part version (gen 2 as well) has a thicker shoe plate than this....like why?

There is a reason I didn't use the Makita XGT rear handle as the comparison saw in this video. Your right, there were definite corners cut on this Metabo saw.

Don't you dare compare that Miss Makita saw that is a 6 1/2 inch saw against the number one saw metabo HTP is the number one saw
