I use Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection Face Shield Flex SPF 50 it's 100 % mineral, FA safe with a beautifull glowy finish and good colour range.
I heard the DRMTLGY broad spectrum spf 45 anti aging sunscreen was a good dupe for the Elta one, (it was cheaper too) I have tried both and I can say I liked the drmtlgy one better, but they both made my skin feel dry even if I put a thick moisturizer under (I have oily skin). The drmtlgy one kind of has a white cast if you put too much on but once it’s melted into your skin it goes away!!
The Elta one disintegrated on me after I applied it in top of my thick moisturizer 😭 I forgot to mention that in the video. I’m about to buy the DRMTLGY on then and see! Thank you Melissa 🥰

when you say "heavy handed", do you mean more than a nickle sized amount? i've heard a nickle sized amount is ideal for effectiveness but i also do not want to be ghostly. you are saving my skin rn, the spf i use breaks me out but i can't skip sunscreen even if im fungal acne prone.

I’ve used it before and I never broke out with it, but it irritated my eczema really bad (and made the non-affected areas of my face itchy.) If I got it too close to my mouth, it would make the border of my lips red and itchy, too. Their spf lip balms are not much better. I’d say avoid them if you have sensitive skin. Some people love Sun Bum, but I didn’t have a good experience with them.

i have the elta md one i bought two, and on my skin it leaves a very noticeable white cast 😭 definitely going to get the paula’s choice you mentioned

Yep nickel size is correct! The sweat + spf combo is what took me out 🥲

Btw both chemical and physcial susncreens absorb the uv rays. Physical ones just absorb around 5 percent less
