Lexi Paltzer I am surprised that they can still have this because I don’t think it is ADA compliant. I went their recently and wasn’t able to go into this because I am unable to climb stairs.
ReviewsTechNow don't think there's enough room there. If they put it there then maybe either where the stage shows are or maybe get rid the of beauty and the beast show and all the land behind it
jon on snow honestly I never watch the shows at theme parks so they can get rid of all the shows as far as I'm concerned lol. I just really wish they had that ride in Florida
I absolutely love the country bears, it's honestly one of my favourites. I think the theming and character design is that cheesy American classic entertainment that Walt was all about. The nostalgia is beautiful to me, I don't always think that everything should always be modernised, we should keep at least some of the classics. But you're totally right about the eye clicking and that does bother me. Haha love this video though!
I actually really liked Tomorrowland (the movie), btw. And I agree about Dinoland U.S.A., though I think it should be replaced with a GOOD Dinoland. Like, more things in the vein of the Dinosaur ride.
Mathieu Leblanc I have an idea. Maybe Disney could remove the Tomorrowland Speedway and replace it for a small TRON section, and possibly put a Hyperbike coaster in that section.
There have been rumors that they're going to do that. May be just wishful thinking, because Shanghai's TRON Lightcycle coaster looks so great. But I wouldn't say no to one of those in Orlando.
Matt McIrvin I actually think that Big Hero Six would work better in Disneyland because San Francisco, and TRON in the east coast since it seems for towards video games and what not.
My daughter actually loves the Tomorrowland Speedway. Last time we went there, we actually used FastPasses to ride it. But here's the thing--even in the 1970s, lots of theme parks had an Autopia-style ride. Kings Dominion has one. Hersheypark has one. Story Land has one. As dinky a park as Canobie Lake has two of them--one themed like sports cars and one themed like Model Ts. Not only is it not futuristic, there's not much that's even distinctive about it, aside from being unusually large. Disney needs to put something there that you actually can't get anywhere else.
Indy should stay we already about to have 3 rides, restaurant, hotel, stores, fireworks, and even a launch Bay with a clip show. After Star Wars Land I don't want more Star Wars ever
Actually, instead of replacing the dance area, the Big Hero 6 attraction can replace Stitch's Great Escape to make an attraction (ride or show) about robotics since Tomorrowland is about innovation of technology.
The Soeedway is hopelessly outdated and inappropriate for a Disney park. I've seen better such rides at little family parks, like Fun Spot. (Besides, if you want to experience the future, these cars should drive themselves!)
I seriously think that big thunder should change track. I don’t know about Disneyland but disney world’s version has NO DROPS. Just after the lift hill, you spiral down. Not even steep. Just make 1 drop like the one in Expedition Everest. Because that would be amazing.
I adored it as a kid, and thought it was scary. But after riding it for the first time as an adult (about a month ago), I realized that it's really all uphill. I get that it's scary for the kids, but i remember going all the way up and up and up, and never really going down
I do not want the all star resorts to change. Why? I want it to stay as cheep as possible. it's cheep because of the way they did it. any change and a garentee the price would go up. disney land has no cheep onsite hotels. I can not afford to go to disney world and stay onsite if they up the price to much.
I really wish the Tomorrowland movie had done well. That movie was so charming, and a ride based on THAT would have been awesome! I imagine it would be kinda like Test Track 2.0 before Magic Bands, where you would get cards (pins), and interact with touch screens building up to a roller coaster, and the ride is affected by your choices in the touch screen games using your pins.
A huge NO! to changing the Indiana Jones Stunt Show Spectacular to something Star Wars themed! I am Ok with updating it, but there are already a LOT of Star Wars themed attractions in Hollywood Studios. I am a Star Wars fan, but diversity is a good thing as not everybody is a Star Wars fan believe it or not.
I think the whole dinoland USA needs to be rebranded and refurbished into what dinoland should be, not turning them into a joke but presenting them as the mighty creatures they were and I would look for a better sponsor besides McDonald's, a museum at least to pretty much show that the study of dinosaurs is not for cheap carnivals it's for being out there for being in the field digging them up and trying to really see them instead of taking them and making them look like goofy cartoon characters and please do something with "the dino institute" I would brand all of dinoland as the dino institute instead of handicapping it and making the abomination that is Chester and Hester...a side note keep the resterauntasaurus and the gift shop but still brand it with the dino institute
Come on, the giant Andy's room at the All Star Movies is such a great photo op for the Toy Story fan, it makes you toy sized. My kids (And even as a 20 yo without kids the first time we stayed there,) we LOVED it.
Taylor Bowman I don't like the way they can be pushed up. You move an inch and next thing you know you're standing up just so your shoulders are touching the harness
Swiss Family Treehouse could use have some animatronics of the actual family doing stuff. I think that would renew the attraction for a couple years... How about changing the position of the animatronics every day? (is it'f possible) One day, the father is working downstairs, and the other he's upstairs doing some birdwatching :)
Wtf i thought i was walking in the Tarzan tree house the whole time i was there a couple weeks ago LOL I did thought that it was too big and had way too many things, because i remember the parents died so quickly 😅
If they take out Energy, IT WOULD BE A SHAME for epcot, They took out Horizons and World of motion (Both Amazing), if they want to branded to Disney crap, ok, but keep the ride system... Disney keeps making mistakes like the little mermaid ride.
Ellen's New Energy Adventure, now featuring Family Feud. Please Disney, put Marvel in Hollywood Studios or Tomorrowland. EPCOT should be its own thing.
I say pull the dance area, and the speedway area and make that more like Tomorrowland the movie. Also have the people mover take you to the Tomorrowland area with a second station there so it is actually practical. Honestly I don't know why they don't bring the people mover to go all around the park it was intended to be a primary transportation for the original Epcot design.
Thing is, I think it's telling that you have to qualify that with "ask any AP or DVC holder". It shows that only a minority of people at this point still really like the ride. It was basically a ghost town before it closed. Disney needs to focus on the larger general public that visits, not the small minority of super-fans. To that end, Frozen is a smash hit in comparisons.
5. Everest 4. Replace the Indy Stunt show. 3. Update World Showcase- weird I know but it can use some fresh blood. 2. I say refurb most of Tomorrowland. 1. I totally agree, change Dinoland USA! I say somehow incorporate fantasy creatures as well. Maybe have it as a cryptozoologist's exhibit that comes to life a la Mystic Manor.
I agree with you in almost everything but .. expedition Everest ???? Are you insane? That’s THE best ride of Animal Kingdom and probably of all Disney Parks (ok no)
Here is why that dance area is amazing! I have been going to Disney since I was a baby cause I live like half an hour away, and I used to be very introverted. I have always loved Lilo and Stitch and when the area was called club 626 instead of incredibles themed it was my favorite thing in the park other than Pirates. This was because when Stitch would come out i would get so excited and id run right up to him and dance. That was the only time I ever used to interact with characters or strangers. Now i am extroverted but have a lot of introverted friends that I go to the parks with and this is the only time I can ever get them to dance or anything in public. So while it could probably use a re-skin (because while I love the Incredibles they just don't fit) this dance area is an amazing part of the Magic Kingdom.
Speaking of edutainment, bring in VSAUCE! HEY EVERYONE MICHEAL HERE. Also Swiss Family's tree house could be something cool as fuck for that to be Tarzan's place. Some new show elements and stuff and that would be dope.
I think that Disneyland and Universal Studios in SoCal should stop just replacing old rides only and should look into more land developing so they could expand each park by significant amount of space for new attraction. For starters!...Westerialane,that street has not been relevant in nearly 7 yrs,2ndly,relocate the unnamed unimportant Bunglows used by Universal writers and stack them on top of the named important Bungalows, basically takeout any unused Bungalow and stand in house and make more room for newer rides in the park.
I'm in the minority opinion that they should re-do the whole ride. Keep the theme and idea, but change every scene and bump up the eras to the late 60s, the early 80s, the late 90s and the near future.
I actually counted the animatrotics at the country bear jamboree, for that very reason. "Five Nights at the Country Bear Jamboree" it's something like 17 animatrotics. imagine that lol
The Top 5 Disneyland attractions I want to see them change are... #5 - The Fantasyland Dark Rides #4 - Winnie the Pooh #3 - Aladdin's Oasis #2 - Star Wars Launch Bay #1 - Do something with that abandoned Peoplemover track!
I think alot of folks who hate it (and I have seen the videos of the new one) would actually like it if it was updated with the 1980's version but new tech on the ride ... closing down the second floor wasn't a good idea either ... they changed it from one people's favorites to (the same people) one of their LEAST favorite
The circle-vision shows in Epcot are far more trouble than they're worth. Just the fact that you have to stay standing and constantly turning around to take in the visuals makes them more exhausting than they have any right to be. It might be worth it if the 360 degree presentation added enough, but it instead gives a constant feeling that you're missing part of the show because it's playing behind you. They're a failed experiment and should be reworked into more traditional shows or find some other innovation that might work better.
also don't agree with the stunt show thing, not a huge fan of the Indiana Jones thing, but I don't think star wars is any better, I mean at least Indiana Jones is a good movie, personally I find star wars rather boring and disinteresting, I mean the new one is good but never liked the original ones in the slightest bit
The American adventure, in my opinion, does NOT need to change 😂 I'm sorry but I cry every time I see it and it just makes me proud of our country. The song is actually one that I really love and is iconic to the attraction. There are a handful of attractions at Disney world that should just be kept the way they are. Disneyland is getting so many updates and refurbs that it doesn't feel nostalgic anymore. Disney world seems to be much more set in the past and I absolutely love that vibe it gives off.
The song's appeal has a great deal to do with the fact that it's cheesy-- so what? Disney isn't *supposed* to be hip! It makes it accessible to everybody! I'll admit that some of the people in that montage have fallen from grace since they were first featured (I'm thinking Lance Armstrong, perhaps Tiger Woods)... but the show itself, is amazing. I love the moving sets and appreciate the fact that it's not afraid to touch on controversy. That's a rare feature in a Disney attraction, since WDW is such an insulated place.
Not gonna lie, I'd be so down for a Space Mountain refurbishment in that I don't want to feel like a stop sign is going to appear and smack me in the face as I ride it.
I am not sure how the internal setup of the building is but IF they were going to even change the theme of the Energy Pavilion ... why not bring back a beloved classic (if they are not going spend 100's of millions of dollars redoing the building to make it look like the old one .... change the entire theme to a sort of "new Horizons" ... you get rid of something that people dont care too much for ... possibly use the same building ... you have the spirit of Horizons but update it (even can throw in clean energy stuff if you want here or there) to be "oh wow, that looks cool" in 2017
I went on the Speedway once. Since there are bumpers on either side of the cars, I hit one halfway through and I was being thrown back and forth between them for the rest of the ride. My sister was in it with me and she got mad at me for my bad driving, but I couldn't do anything about it.
Your title is misleading and inaccurate. A few of your picks were rides, but a lot of them were attractions/live entertainment. I've never been to Disney World, I'm a Disneyland guy, so I can't really comment on your picks.
We just rode Ellen's Energy ride a couple of weeks ago and I thought something was off and you nailed it. They removed the Ellen animatronic. We still go to the attraction because it is still a great place to get seated air conditioning for 30+ minutes.
Really wish Disney would rip up the Tomorrowland Speedway and build a Radiator Springs Speedway like California. Maybe vary the track a little? Never been so happy to leave a ride. Mind numbing.
I went to Disney World for the first time this past March and I loved the Ellen ride! Sure, it was a little outdated but it was so neat. I especially liked that Ellen and Bill go to prehistoric times on screen and then suddenly we join them. It was so fun. Obviously once you know the ride I could see how it could be boring but I would hate to think that not everyone in the world could get a chance to experience it for a first time. And if we're talking about refurbishment here's my recommendation: EVERY SINGLE DISNEY WORLD PARK.
I actually love Ellen's energy adventure but my parents hate it because it's so long and my mum gets sick when they're in the dream and the universe is moving but I love it all 😂
Rob, I have a suggestion for another Top 5: Top 5 Restaurant Improvements So basically top five restaurants to change to make them better. For instance, I'd love to see the Tomorrowland Terrace change from rarely used counter-service to a multi-level amazing restaurant with great views of MK. I think this idea might be fun. Thanks, and have a magical day!
omg Ellen's universe of energy could be refurbed as soon many things! that ride is so cool to me. the ride vehicles are so amazing, the attraction seemed so enormous the last time I rode. I really hope that they keep the educational aspect, I mean this is E.P.C.O.T. I really hope they have a Indiana jones type ride in the new starwars land in cali! the vehicles could be themed as rovers. yea. the entire tomorrow land needs to be refurbed, we all know this, much like the entire future world at Epcot. they are going to have to put maximum thought and effort if they want to keep the "vision of the future" image. and scrap the stitch attraction, and double scrap trashtopia.. disney has really dropped the ball in the recent decades, as far as being the cutting edge of entertainment technology and their vision of the future, I hope they can bring back some far gone ambition that Walt used to have.
If you've been to any modern theater in the past few years, you'll see Philharmagic is way overdue for a refurb. The 3d is extremely blurry, the video projector is very dim, and it ruins some really cool potential if it were updated. Modern bright projection and 3d, updated surround sound, and not to mention all the new characters that could be added in now that Frozen and Moana did so well. There's so much potential there
Horiizunn I've been to dl Paris. I've been to every park except California and shanghai. I've benn to Tokyo, hongKong, Florida, Tokyo disney sea, Aulani, the resort in Hawaii, everywhere.
Dinoland feels so cheap and sleazy. The coasters don't even work. I actually like much of the theming but I don't like that the land feels bankrupt and abandoned. Especially when people pay top dollar to enter the park and they even have to pay market prices to enter like they are buying a lobster.
If you're going Star Wars up stuff, just do what The Simpsons did with Cosmic Wars: Jabba the Tiki Hut, Country Stormtrooper Jamboree, and Jim-Jam Bonks' Wild Ride. That would take care of your Country Bear problem. Disneyland replaced its Country Bear Playhouse with Pooh, but that wouldn't be an option for WDW. They certainly could replace the Speedway with a land. Tokyo is replacing theirs with a Beauty and Beast land (and their Star Jets with a whip ride themed to Baymax). If they replaced the Speedway, then they could hide the People Mover so people could see the area from above another thing to promote. Best case scenario would even be to extend the track.
It would be cool if they made the Stunt Spectacular a stunt show of MANY movies. That way it's more about the original premise of Hollywood studios that it's about making all movies, not just Star Wars.
6:09 I wanted them to get rid of Swiss Family Treehouse too. Had an idea for a replacement , but then I went on this whimsical journey where I found out it's not always about what I want, and it turns out for some strange reason lots of people like it.
My 5 refurbishments would be It's a Small World, Jungle Cruise, Ellen's Universe of Energy, Grand Prix and Indiana Jones Stunt Show. Completely replace American Adventure, Bear Jamboree, Tiki room, Tom Sawyer Island and Morroco.
It's definitely been mentioned I think, but Journey into Imagination really needs to be changed. The current version is just so bland and annoying. If they could update it using new tech and have something more akin to the original incarnation for its overall story I think that would be great. But this might be more of a heavy refurb than an all-out replacement. Maybe do something with that Wonders of Life pavilion just sitting there not doing much now... That's a lot of wasted space doing a whole lot of nothing.
UK Pavilion in Epcot. SOOOO underused. When you think of the sheer amount of cultural assets the UK has, most specifically in this context, the sheer amount of influence that Disney takes from the UK in its movies (Mary Poppins, Winnie The Pooh, Peter Pan, the list goes on), and what does the UK pavilion have? An, admittedly unique and excellent pub, an indifferent restaurant whose major selling point is its position for Illuminations, and a few shops selling insanely overpriced imports. If any pavilion needs extra dining options (a place serving afternoon tea for example? An artisan Whisky or Gin bar?) and an attraction, its the UK pavilion.
The Space Orbiter in Magic Kingdom is way overdue. We went there last week, there were roaches, it was dirty, the shuttles are not conducive to modern human sizes, the belt does nothing.....it's just wayyyy overdue
This may sound harsh, but you guys would probably enjoy 6 Flags or Universal Islands of Adventure more. If you're looking for thrills, it's just better suited for you. I think Disney should make a new Swiss Family Robinson movie (hopefully without "The Rock"...) and *update* the attraction. Yeah, it gets hard to have an imagination when you get older, but I can still appreciate it. Also, American Adventure is awesome. To each their own.
It is my personal theory that all Disney Edutainment needs to be updated every 10 years, at minimum. Also, a small, enclosed kid park like McDonald's used to have would be a perfect replacement for Swiss Family Robinson...
Bonnie Chiaccio, not only is Cars Land waaaaaayyyyy bigger than the Tomorrowland Speedway, but how on Earth does Cars fit into Tomorrowland, and how would they make it to fit in.
Dear Rob, I really love watching all of your videos and was wondering if you could do some videos about what you think what Disney will become in the future, and what you think the rides will be.
Hey there! Thanks for the kind words! So far the closest to a series like that is a series I used to do called Revisiting Disney, where each episode I would pick a Disney ride and talk about what I HOPED would happen with it. Considering all we can do is guess at this point with a lot of rides, it's about the same thing. Enjoy! ruclips.net/p/PLsVbKOoQe1mF3CEziJQBhanWw0XJNEWTi
The clicking of the wall animatronics was so loud on Country Bear Jamboree to the point where literally that's all I was focused on. It has already been updated a few years back but it's still outdated as hell. Probably to keep the nostalgia there? I dunno...
If they were to do anything with Dinoland, they should rethink the storyline to keep DINOSAUR, but change the rest of the land to something thematically better - they could theme it so that the main part of the land is set way in the past, when dinosaurs reigned the Earth, and DINOSAUR sends you into the future to do the same stuff it does now.
I like that the Epcot theme at the part that is playing the American Adventure song while she is talking about how dated it is plays in the back round while she talks
In no order the refurbs i'd like to see are: Journey into Imagination - Although slightly better than its previous incarnation, still not the greatest thing ever in that building. Half the building is closed off to regular guests, building across from it is also closed off. Wasted space Ellen's Energy Adventure - incredibly boring ride, dated visuals, not a fun experience The Wonders of Life Building - used to be a good place. rides closed down and only opens for F+W festival. more wasted space The empty building next to Test Track that's immediately before World Showcase- idk what that building ever was, again wasted space EPCOT is a very incomplete park! Tomorrow Land Speedway - basically everything you said in the video! A brand new e-ticket attraction can put in its place!
It's late 2017, and I'm watching this.I laughed when you mentioned Maelstrom, and earlier in the video when you talked about putting Anna and Elsa in the Treehouse... Maelstrom used to be one of those rides you could get on with no wait at all. They put Frozen animatronics in it, and suddenly it's a 2 hour wait, even though it's basically the same boat ride. Good thing I had a fast pass when we took my daughter there last month.
yeah I can agree that the budget hotels (so to speak ... for Disney) can be a little bit more "classy" ... not so .... ... well she described it how I would ... it feels "slapped together" or something
The bear jamboree is a classic love. But if it gets refurbished I wouldn't mind. Primeval Whirl is so fun and unique. At least put another spinning coaster like it if they change it. Tommorrowland/ Goofy's speedway is fun for the kids to drive and its a classic. I wouldn't mind something new there though, maybe a Tron coaster or simulator. Although I have never been to Disneyland, it would be cool to see Big Thunder Mountain updated.
I'm so glad they've redone Snow White in MK. I've always hated Snow White's Scary Adventures, and I'm really looking forward to the Seven Dwarves Mine Train ride! I agree with everything y'all said, basically. I also think, as much as I love the ride, that Jungle Cruise could stand an update. I love the idea and all, but it's especially kind of pointless when you could just take a bus over to Animal Kingdom and see the real things. It'd be cool if it was like dragon themed or something (though maybe not since it's in Adventureland). Perhaps just make it more adventurous somehow. I'd even love to see classic rides like Peter Pan get a refurb and just add some newer and cooler effects, which I think they've done a little of in one or other of the parks?? They've been doing so much with screen technology lately (like WHOA the faces of the animatronics in Frozen or half the new rides in Shanghai, and I saw an AMAZING update to the Alice in Wonderland ride in Disneyland, so I'd love to see more of that in some of the existing dark rides, just to add some depth and give them a little more oomph.
Keep the swiss family robinson treehouse. It gives you great views of the park and is a walk through with no lines. They could add some interactive points of interest along the pathway but then that would slow down the flow some. Even if its a water cannon button. Or if you turn a crank to make something truly interesting happen.
Yea keep the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse. I would rather they get rid of the Aladdin ride which is jammed into too small of a space and hardly much different from the Dumbo ride.
Refurbished the Tomorrowland go carts with electric self driving vehicles that switch back and forth to manual. Disney already has the trackless ride patents.
I appreciate the crappy attractions. Nice to have something without a two hour wait.
Good point.
It's a big reason they keep them around
I've seen Swiss Family Treehouse referred to as "Stairs: The Ride" ...accurate
Lexi Paltzer I am surprised that they can still have this because I don’t think it is ADA compliant. I went their recently and wasn’t able to go into this because I am unable to climb stairs.
It was presumably grandfathered in, since it's been there since opening day.
Kathleen Baxter oh boo hoo
"When do we get to the ride?"
"THIS is the ride!"
I say get rid of the Indiana Jones stunt show and build the Indiana Jones ride. I never understood why they didn't put it in that park to begin with.
Dinosaur is the same thing as Indiana Jones Adventure because it uses the same layout and vehicle design, but has dinosaurs instead of a cursed temple
The Dino Ranger Nerd then they should change dinosaurs to Indiana jones
its the same track turn for turn as Dinosaur. but I agree
I absolutely love the country bears, it's honestly one of my favourites. I think the theming and character design is that cheesy American classic entertainment that Walt was all about. The nostalgia is beautiful to me, I don't always think that everything should always be modernised, we should keep at least some of the classics. Momma don't whoop little bueford!
I actually really liked Tomorrowland (the movie), btw. And I agree about Dinoland U.S.A., though I think it should be replaced with a GOOD Dinoland. Like, more things in the vein of the Dinosaur ride.
A Big Hero 6 or TRON section would work well for Tomorrowland

It is funny watching this and Christine talking about how great Ellen is and then hearing stories today of how mean she is to employees.
Maybe that dance area in Tommarowland can be a Big Hero 6 attraction!
i agree
Matthew Ulloa it's too small for a ride but it's big enough for a bot fighting arena
Actually, instead of replacing the dance area, the Big Hero 6 attraction can replace Stitch's Great Escape to make an attraction (ride or show) about robotics since Tomorrowland is about innovation of technology.
I think there should be WALL-E and Tron attractions in tomorrowland replacing Grand Prix speedway and the god awful Stich's great escape
Blast Tron Is COMING
They should bring back the timekeeper too, and almost no Intellectual Properties.
The problem with WALL-E attractions is far too many people are chugging around in their own power chairs in the park. It would be insulting to them.
@@orlandotouristtraps7410 oh my xD my mom had to use one ajwjawajwa
The Ellen comment didn’t age well
I thought the same thing
The speedway is a space vampire. Lose it.
That's my new favorite term. "Space vampire"
cyanmanta idk if it's adequate space or not, but if it is that would be a great place to put the tron light cycle ride they have in Shanghai.
The Soeedway is hopelessly outdated and inappropriate for a Disney park. I've seen better such rides at little family parks, like Fun Spot. (Besides, if you want to experience the future, these cars should drive themselves!)

cheap*
Whoa either Rob is really tall or Christine is really short. Kind of weird seeing you two standing next to each other.
Little of column A, little of column B.
Rob Plays That Game I'm watching this video and now AND OMG MY MOM SO AGREES WITH THE INCREDIBLES DANCE FLOOR SHE HATES IT
Andrew Reegs Have Disney do a full ride on Incredebles
Andrew Reegs My friends are shorter then me (most of them)
I think its a little bit of this and a little bit of that.

Stitch???? that needs to change more than the stunt shows
truelymadmatt no stitch is funny the only stupid thing is the smell
truelymadmatt the chairs in the ride are so painful to sit in. Horrible.
Taylor Bowman I don't like the way they can be pushed up. You move an inch and next thing you know you're standing up just so your shoulders are touching the harness
Mike Fortier exactly! If the chairs were taller and wider I feel like it would be fine
I have heard rumors that a tomorrowland refurbishment is coming before Disney World's 50th, and I bet that will be one of the first to go
Country Bear Jamboree is supposed to be old. That's why it's in Frontier Land
Being themed to something old fashioned doesn't mean the technology behind it also has to be old fashioned.
Swiss Family Treehouse could use have some animatronics of the actual family doing stuff. I think that would renew the attraction for a couple years... How about changing the position of the animatronics every day? (is it'f possible) One day, the father is working downstairs, and the other he's upstairs doing some birdwatching :)
smumdax I like what Disneyland did and turned the tree house into Tarzan and had the panther pop out from around the corner
Haha love Rob's All-Star Resort solution. "So instead of putting giant things at the end of the buildings, should they just put like a soda cup?"
Rob Atkins i wish the TTA went to more areas of the park. Like wouldnt it be cool if it took you from main st to tomorrorland?
Malestrom was a great ride the frozen ride ruined Norway pavilion ask any annual pass holder or dvd member and they will agree with me.
Thing is, I think it's telling that you have to qualify that with "ask any AP or DVC holder". It shows that only a minority of people at this point still really like the ride. It was basically a ghost town before it closed. Disney needs to focus on the larger general public that visits, not the small minority of super-fans. To that end, Frozen is a smash hit in comparisons.
yes definitely
5. Everest
That’s THE best ride of Animal Kingdom and probably of all Disney Parks (ok no)
Journey Into Imagination needs a refurb
I think so too. bring back the 1983 version with Dreamfinder that everyone loved!
It needs a wrecking ball.
Inside out
yeah
"I grew up going to an actual boardwalk and its not as bad as Dinoland." That's such an awesome quote!
They could upgrade the animatronics on Carousel of Progress too
I'm in the minority opinion that they should re-do the whole ride. Keep the theme and idea, but change every scene and bump up the eras to the late 60s, the early 80s, the late 90s and the near future.
I like how they’ve kept it. It’s the way it was as a child so very nostalgic! 😀
Personally, I'd rather they change the final scene to be a (intentionally) retro vision of the future.
I actually counted the animatrotics at the country bear jamboree, for that very reason. "Five Nights at the Country Bear Jamboree" it's something like 17 animatrotics. imagine that lol
The Top 5 Disneyland attractions I want to see them change are...
#5 - The Fantasyland Dark Rides
#4 - Winnie the Pooh
#3 - Aladdin's Oasis
#2 - Star Wars Launch Bay
#1 - Do something with that abandoned Peoplemover track!
I thought the Imagination pavilion would have been somewhere on the list. That whole pavilion needs works
I think they are making it inside out themed
NOOO NOT MY FIGMENT! PLEASE DONT TAKE MY FIGMENT AWAY! INSIDE OUT BELONGS IN WONDERS OF LIFE!!!
I think alot of folks who hate it (and I have seen the videos of the new one) would actually like it if it was updated with the 1980's version but new tech on the ride ... closing down the second floor wasn't a good idea either ... they changed it from one people's favorites to (the same people) one of their LEAST favorite
NO ROB don't touch my country bears write a new script and update the animatronics also
Also RIP robs schedule
Tron Coaster from Shanghai replacing the Speedway would be great.
Agree... Pretty sure it's Sam Eagle's favorite attraction. I think he'd say that anyone who doesn't like it is simply unAmerican 😂
Its called a salute to all American hero's, but mostly Walt Disney.
i get the nostalgia. but you know, you gotta adapt to survive. disney's gotta stay relevant and interesting to everybody, not just the 'veterans'
Big Thunder Mountain is closing for refurbishments tomorrow until November 19th. Hopefully they are adding the effects that Disneyland's has.
Your title is misleading and inaccurate. A few of your picks were rides, but a lot of them were attractions/live entertainment. I've never been to Disney World, I'm a Disneyland guy, so I can't really comment on your picks.
JUST... a treehouse?!
If I remember correctly, Disney had plans to do a land based on their villains? Could be a fun replacement for the speedway.
We just rode Ellen's Energy ride a couple of weeks ago and I thought something was off and you nailed it. They removed the Ellen animatronic. We still go to the attraction because it is still a great place to get seated air conditioning for 30+ minutes.
You can hear the eyes blinking on the tiki totems in the tiki room at disneyland as well, but i think it fits with the whole "wooden tiki" feel.
Really wish Disney would rip up the Tomorrowland Speedway and build a Radiator Springs Speedway like California. Maybe vary the track a little? Never been so happy to leave a ride. Mind numbing.
If they were to replace Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular I would hope they would replace it with the Indiana Jones ride from Disneyland
Yesssss I totally agree.
***** Well that stinks. I hope you have fun there anyway.
I actually love Ellen's energy adventure but my parents hate it because it's so long and my mum gets sick when they're in the dream and the universe is moving but I love it all 😂
Rob, I have a suggestion for another Top 5:
Top 5 Restaurant Improvements
So basically top five restaurants to change to make them better.
YOUNG guess what it's going to become a guardians of galaxy resort
If you've been to any modern theater in the past few years, you'll see Philharmagic is way overdue for a refurb. The 3d is extremely blurry, the video projector is very dim, and it ruins some really cool potential if it were updated.
Modern bright projection and 3d, updated surround sound, and not to mention all the new characters that could be added in now that Frozen and Moana did so well. There's so much potential there
Remove Stitch...bring back Alien Encounter
lanceflx63
that ride was so cool then they replaced it with stitch god that was a huge mistake
lanceflx63 stitch is closing. I think they're doing something with some wreck it Ralph vr thing.
Trey Atkins, how does Wreck It Ralph even fit into Tomorrowland?
lanceflx63 VR. Video game characters. Other than that idk, but stitch and monsters laugh floor don't even belong that much either.
At Least The Monsters Inc Attraction Is Still Fun. The Stitch Ride Needs to go.
How about a new version of the Indiana Jones ride
lanceflx63 do u mean the one in paris
Horiizunn I've been to dl Paris. I've been to every park except California and shanghai. I've benn to Tokyo, hongKong, Florida, Tokyo disney sea, Aulani, the resort in Hawaii, everywhere.
Wait, for the swiss family treehouse why not make it a Tarzan attraction like in disney land?
Dinoland feels so cheap and sleazy. The coasters don't even work. I actually like much of the theming but I don't like that the land feels bankrupt and abandoned. Especially when people pay top dollar to enter the park and they even have to pay market prices to enter like they are buying a lobster.
You should add pictures and clips of what you are talking about.
BTM is going down soon for a lengthy refurb... *cough* new effects *cough*
Awesome!
The one in Disneyland went down for 2 years. How long is the one at Magic Kingdom going down for?
It would be cool if they made the Stunt Spectacular a stunt show of MANY movies. That way it's more about the original premise of Hollywood studios that it's about making all movies, not just Star Wars.
When she was saying how creepy the American adventure song was, it was playing in the background
I knew Dino land USA would be on this list!! I totally agree and suggested it to you for your other series for refurbing rides/parts of the parks
Did any of you get to ride HyperSpace Mountain? At first I felt it was unnecessary but with the sound, music and effects I fell in love with it.
I DID!!!!!!!
I LOVED IT
I'm kind glad that they are changing it back to the original soon
6:09 I wanted them to get rid of Swiss Family Treehouse too. Had an idea for a replacement , but then I went on this whimsical journey where I found out it's not always about what I want, and it turns out for some strange reason lots of people like it.
Love Country Bears but I totally get the Chuck-E-Cheese reference that some people make
An interesting reference too, since Chuck-E-Cheese was created by Nolan Bushnell, who was a Disney fan and inspired by the Country Bears.
I love it too. Keep the sound track but update the animatronics maybe?
Jeopardy isn't relevant?? It's still on TV 5 nights a week.
So is General Hospital, but I wouldn't call that one culturally relevant anymore either.
To each their own.
wow this episode is so important that Rob and Christine are in the same room and they are standing up!!!!
Just bring back Horizons that's all. Maybe that should be in the autotopia areas in both Disneyland and world instaid of the car ride.
It is my personal theory that all Disney Edutainment needs to be updated every 10 years, at minimum. Also, a small, enclosed kid park like McDonald's used to have would be a perfect replacement for Swiss Family Robinson...
Not a Speedway fan. Radiator Springs Racers should definitely go in that spot
Bonnie Chiaccio it would fit with the theming. If we got one it would probably be in Hollywood studios
Bonnie Chiaccio, not only is Cars Land waaaaaayyyyy bigger than the Tomorrowland Speedway, but how on Earth does Cars fit into Tomorrowland, and how would they make it to fit in.
And also, wasn't a cast member crushed early in the 70's in the now Tomorrowland Speedway??
Sammy Lane it was ride like carousel of progress
Flower Child It was America Sings in Anaheim which I think used to be Carousel of Progress.
SJ Cohen I'm a Edward girl so I don't know but I do know there like the same concept
Tron is rumored to be replacing the speedway, and Big Thunder Mountain is set to be refurbished as well.
Dear Rob,
I really love watching all of your videos and was wondering if you could do some videos about what you think what Disney will become in the future, and what you think the rides will be.
In no order the refurbs i'd like to see are:
Journey into Imagination - Although slightly better than its previous incarnation, still not the greatest thing ever in that building. Half the building is closed off to regular guests, building across from it is also closed off. Wasted space
Ellen's Energy Adventure - incredibly boring ride, dated visuals, not a fun experience
The Wonders of Life Building - used to be a good place. rides closed down and only opens for F+W festival. more wasted space
The empty building next to Test Track that's immediately before World Showcase- idk what that building ever was, again wasted space EPCOT is a very incomplete park!
The Country Bear Jamboree needs new animatronics and a new show with updated country music
To be honest I love the Swiss Family Treehouse
I wonder if Country Bear Jamboree and Swiss Family Treehouse are still there only because they were removed/renovated at Disneyland...
Keep the swiss family robinson treehouse. It gives you great views of the park and is a walk through with no lines. They could add some interactive points of interest along the pathway but then that would slow down the flow some. Even if its a water cannon button. Or if you turn a crank to make something truly interesting happen.
Aw, I like the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse!! Memories!!
Yea keep the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse. I would rather they get rid of the Aladdin ride which is jammed into too small of a space and hardly much different from the Dumbo ride.
I was a space kid. GF was a dino kid. If they took out Dinoland she would probably riot in the streets.
Yeah, when you call your resort an All Star Resort, you expect it to be Smash Mouth or Shrek themed.
I agree with 100% of this! I have been wanting all of that gone for years. Thank you for making this!
Refurbished the Tomorrowland go carts with electric self driving vehicles that switch back and forth to manual. Disney already has the trackless ride patents.
