Super tutorial! Just wanted to let you know, it worked perfectly in Affinity for IPad! Just a different layout in the app interface, symbols instead of words for “file”, etc., but very easy to figure out! Thanks so much!
Oh my gosh...by far the best explanation I've seen so far...I'm still having trouble exporting my image design (sag) into Cricut Design space without losing format. Any suggestions? Thankyou!!!!!
I'm new to Affinity. I wanted to learn how to make more complex designs and even possibly selling svgs on Etsy. This tutorial was great, but I dont even know what to ask as far as the functions Affinity is capable of!
@@HoneySeesCrafting thank you for responding! I downloaded Inkscape and could not figure it out. I'm not a graphic designer by any means, but I thought I was skilled enough to figure it out... But like Affinity if you don't know what the app is capable of and you don't know the terminology it's kinda frustrating. I'm pretty good in design space, but there's but so much you can do. Have a great rest of the day!
I love this video. Easy to understand and to the point. Thank you. I was wondering if you have one that let me know if I am getting out of the size parameters of the cricut page. It is my first time using the cricut and I want to be able to use the whole page. Thanks again.
Question, I started my graphic without already choosing a clear background, and then I added a photo to trace. How do I get rid of the photo and again make a clear background?
You go to file. Then Document Setup. Select Color. Then check Transparent Background. Click ok. As far as the photo. You should be able to delete the photo layer from your layers panel.
When you set your page width in pixels it automatically sizes it, landscape by you are making it wider by using more pixels to create your page width. 😉

Thank you! Affinity Designer is great. If you want to create svgs Inkscape is also a great program.

How can you create cut and score lines to upload to design space?
Will it matter if you pick a font that isn't touching one another?
it doesn't matter if they are touching. Landsacpe or portrait doesnt matter. Its going to your cricut and its only pulling in the design
What about the margins? Your looks like it said it has them. Also was this landscape mode?

You can click artistic text tool and then hold alt abd the left or right arrow key to adjust the spacing between letters
I'm trying to figure out what was the point, couldn't you just export as .svg from the beginning?

Hi Can you tell me why when I add my curve letters together they cut off some of the letters?

@@theresademaio8448 no the add function is basically like welding the word and making one. When your cricut cuts it will make one consistent cut.
