I think with a bit less grip on the tires you could do a better time.
Seems you lose speed when the tire goes perpendicular to the motion vector.

I have 2 questions for you.
I have used the same gearing settings as you.
1. Could the gearing be tuned even more faster in terms of top speed areas, or it will cut too much acceleration and would not give faster lap time?
2. How much do you think you could improve that lap time with these exact settings you had?
With some differences in car stiffness and same gearing you gave i finally beat you with the lap time 1.41.1 with ps3 controller!
It was super hard and even if i would drive absolutely perfect run, i think of getting max 1 sec better lap time, really difficult to master. Otherwise 1.41.1 was already 100% maxed without any mistakes.
Nice drive. I set it so that it is easy to drift.
