God the DLC NPC quests are such an intertwined mess… Everybody’s quest is connected with each other’s in some way or another. Then this crazy woman decides to just start offing people too… I hate how easy it is to fail quests too. I gave the old dude the scroll without doing the letter thing for the other girl since I didn’t know, so I had to go through this entire library without dying or resting at a Grace just so I could go back and get his letter and give it to the Redmane girl. (He apparently disappears after giving him the scroll so I had to survive at all costs. Somehow made it and gave her the letter but died to a fire knight before I could report back to the old guy. He was gone when I respawned.) I hear Hornsent and Ansbach help with the final boss if you side against Leda. Would it be better to kill her here at the fight with Hornsent for the extra help later?
I hope I'm not spoiling anything for anyone. So in case, spoilers below. I know for a fact Ansbach will help with the final boss, but I had to fight hornsent. There is a fight towards the end where you fight Leda and her allies. The allies are Freya, Dane and Hornsent. You're technically an invader or a summoned duelist.
if you enter mesmer's boss arena before killing hornsent of helping Leda fight hornsent, the signs will just disappear (classic spagetti coding of the game im going insane.. locked out of god knows how many questlines now)
@@gamer8622 I didn't kill messmer i just entered his boss arena.. I qiuted out bc a didn't wanted to fight him at that point,I knew it would F up all questlines. Its insane that just entereing the boss arena (not even touching the boss) locks you out of progression.
@@Salamonderman it only locks u from their small rewards. U still get needle knights wep and armor and the other npcs armor without doing anything. Just keep playing

I helped hornsent because she was kinda a bitch lol. I got that sweet ass swift dash though. So what can I do after helping him? Does that basically end all quests??
So, the invade for Hornsent is glitched on my end and apparently so for many others. I'm ready to kill ansbach and she's still stuck on her dialogue of "I know where he is, Black Keep" etc. and then the invade sign isn't there so I can't progress her line at all. If I Kill Messmer, will it ruin the quest line? Or would it just resume after igniting the tiny tree again?
I don't know if it's the same situation, but maybe it can help you. Here's what happened In my playthrough: I entirely missed the part where you either help or invade Hornsent because I reached Messmer too soon, so I think I kinda skipped this step because I still could summon Hornsent to help with the Messmer fight, which is supposed to happen after helping Hornsent fight Leda. After beating Messmer, Leda dialogue changed and she said the next target would be Ansbach, so I went to his location and found the summon signs, so I proceeded with the quest normally
These Fromsoft NPC questlines are so goddamn atrocious. Don't care about the difficulty of the bosses or enemies. The real BS is these intertwined questlines with vague-ass hints. I accidentally locked myself out by beating messmer 1st try after opening the door. I really hate opening wikis or guide in a first playthrough. Fromsoft needs to get their shit in order regarding these NPC questlines.
@@alexsalmela8199 The helm, gauntlets, and greaves she's wearing are straight up just from the oathseeker set, which can be found near the church of benediction, above the DLC's starting area. The only unique part is her chestpiece, which you get through these quests.

I go back collect the talisman and says she's gonna pick the next target but I got to the store room on lvl 1 and the other guys just standing in the library no sommon signs nothing, and Freyas not at the 3 point cross to talk to her so what the fuckin hell am I missing????? HELP!!!!

Kill a major story boss blocking multiple quests and now u can't progress them I'm absolutely shocked. 😂

I think the only thing you miss is the ‘Retaliatory crossed tree’. You can still get all the armour sets by not doing her quest

If I help horsnet i cannot get the second talisman from helping leda kill Ansbach?
If I’m not wrong u can’t get it bcz u killed her when u helped hornsent. She will still show up in inir elim

So you can get Leda's chest armor piece, but what about her helmet, gauntlets and greaves? :(

HORNSENT sign is in mesmers arena. It's hard to see.

If you burn the shadows after Romina the quest locks and most NPCs will disappear
