I’m scared of needles so I’m not doing this however, I’ll wait until I get a nose bleed because it happens multiple times in the winter season so I’ll have to carry this with me at all times and try to remember the steps lol. Thank you for the instructed video. 😊
Im also terrified of needles I was in the hospital a lot as a child it really created a phobia but this It really doesn't hurt at all I barely felt the stick, just getting past the initial fear is the real challenge
I've drawn blood so many times and apparently I'm told by some, like yourself, that they barely felt the needle. I've also drawn my own blood a few times because I was the only one capable in a small family clinic qualified 😂. The Dr was my doctor also so it was just easier than taking time to go to the hospital lab.
Thanks! I was worried I wouldn't be able to do this written instructions don't really work well for me but you explained it very clearly and I followed your steps it worked, I'm A+ :-)
Just ordered my kit from Amazon, its a pain asking for info here in the UK, and i never knew my blood type, so hopefully, i won't mess this up. Thank you for the clear instruction

I just found out I'm O positive.. and I'm think back when I was pregnant ( in 2013 ) then, I didn't know my blood type, and the doctor that I was seeing gave me the rohgam shot. He told me the shot was to protect the baby.... now, I'm wondering why did he give me the shot knowing my blood type didn't have the rh factor.

I’m O- and weirdly stoked. My mom, I always knew she was RH- and I always thought that was cool. Now I know I’m O- and rh-, which is kinda like a double cool thing being O and rh- Edit knew not new. I *knew* that and my English teachers would be ashamed!
@@InteractiveBiology I think so too. Also found out by this about the universal blood type thing. And found out some family facts that my grandpa is also O- and it was actually hard for them to find him O blood for transfusions since they give it out to so many non O people it can create shortages, especially in situations where recently multiple or many unconscious people needed blood all at once. I never knew that was even an issue for him and it’s cool having the same as him! Such awesome stuff..just from a little blood on some paper (and a bunch of science and biology but you know what I mean!) 😂
I’m AB+, so a universal receiver (of red blood cells) and a universal plasma donor since I don’t have any anti-A or anti-B antibodies. Would like to test this kit to confirm! 😊

I've followed these instructions exactly and tried the eldon card test 3 seperate times now, and every single one has failed to give a readable result and been invalid. I don't know if I managed to somehow get a bad batch that was sitting around in a way too hot Amazon warehouse or something (since I had orderd them in the Summertime) every single time that I ordered it, but I'm getting really disheartened about ever figuring out what my blood type really is. My doctor refuses to order a more sensitive blood type test for me unless I become pregnant or need a blood transfusion, since she says it isn't medically necessary information for me to know, so my insurance won't cover it. Is it better to maybe just order from a different website that might store the eldon kits more properly the next time I try again? I'm starting to wonder if I'm just getting bad batches of eldon cards, or if I might have some sort of undiagnosed rare blood type or something. 🤔😂 Idk what I'm doing wrong, because I did it exactly the way you showed in the video.
Ha! "Medically necessary" what a crock of shit. Is it medically necessary to take 8, 12/20 vials of blood to test!? How do forensic scientists test a speck of blood and get ALL Types of information!
I'm not sure. I guess it depends on the pharmacy. Usually, they don't offer blood type tests on site but may have at home test kits similar to this one.
It's a bit weird , I tested myself in a hospital years ago and my blood group was b positive. Now I ve taken this test and only anti-b was glutinised out of all 4.that means I'm a negative b ?
Hmm, that's interesting. It's possible that one of those tests was wrong. I can't say which one for sure. There are errors every so often. I think it would be a good idea to redo it, and if you're still finding it different from what you got in the hospital, I would get it redone with a medical professional. Btw, this is NOT medical advice. I'm NOT a doctor nor do I play one on the internet 🤣

It means you he has the RHD protien. So he is positive for that protien. The solid red blood in box "A" & "B" mean "No" reaction. This is why his reads that it is "O" blood type, and the reaction in "D" means positive for RH protien on the cells. Therefore, this is "O" positive. If all circles were solid with no reaction, then it would read "O" negative.
I didn't saw the O- , Just looked at the O. To have O- is 2.5% chance. Dont take this as a 100% true information O+ is 36%. Didn't mention. And I know a bit of these because im very curious . (Haven't taken the blood test already)
This test is so simple and very well designed.
I agree. It makes the process so easy.

Weird flex.
I know I am B+ but wanna test.
Unfortunately my phone is Samsung and at the result is shown O-
Wtf
I’m confused. Why doesn’t the 3rd circle just indicate that you are type O? Why does the card say anti-d
That is the serum name once watch other videos you will understand
The first 2 if they don't have the antibodies shows it O. The 3rd is for showing if it's positive or negative only.
Why does agglutination in anti d circle mean type O blood
It means you he has the RHD protien. So he is positive for that protien. The solid red blood in box "A" & "B" mean "No" reaction. Not do simple
Did everyone got 0+ results on this test ? Just wondering if it could be an faulty test if everyone gets the same result
If you check the reviews, you'll see that there are a bunch of people with different results. So I don't think that would be the case.
