      It took me 1 day of owning it and took it off. Very easy just remember to put back 2 screws that hold the lining on the wheel well for each side and your good to go.. no diff in having it on or off just cosmetic look.

    Looks so much better but before i do it to mine, has it made a difference in road noise and/or driving performance?

    How’s your MPG? I’m debating on removing mine. Idk if it makes much of a difference with MPG

    I removed mine and love the look but have notice a low wind noise after removal. Starts at around 30 mph and goes on till 60 or so. Been looking for a solution because I want to keep it off. Saw a test video done and only had a 0.7 mpg difference. Have you not heard this noise on yours after removal?

    I want to do this but I hate how the trd sport skid plate looks, so I'll probably look at getting an aftermarket skid plate.

    • @ProjectDIY2
      @ProjectDIY2  5 месяцев назад +1

      Agreed, it’s not really a skid plate anyway. More of a tough fiber cover? Thanks for watching!!

    Did you track your mpg’s with and then without…you know…for science?

    • @ProjectDIY2
      @ProjectDIY2  5 месяцев назад +2

      Lol I’m no scientist 😂 but I saw zero difference in my mpg’s after removing the air dam. Thanks for watching!!

    So I did this mod on my brand new sr5 4x4 and the very next day when I went to work I heard this very persistent high pitched drone. It was like air rushing over a ladder rack or something. No way I'm gonna listen to this all the time so I put the air dam back on and noise is gone. So Toyota probably new about this and had to design something to stop this noise. Not to happy I have to keep this ugly air dam on

      Nice find on the holes in the A-arms!!! Luckily mine has never made this noise.

      Hopefully they make aftermarket air dams that help the issue but don’t look so ugly lol
