The Post-Rajamouli curse apart from being negative for the lead actor, tells 'Rajamouli' is the tag which attracts audience not the stardom of any actor. Because if it's not the case, the immediate next film of sane actor who worked in his previous film with Rajamouli will have a greater stardom. So it's Rajamouli the brand. Not the star.
Offcourse stardom of big stars like RamCharan, Jr NTR and Prabhas played important role in success of respective Rajamouli films. But it was the director who presented them in that way. Otherwise, sane stars are not shining with directors like Siva, Shankar and Nag.

Nepotism, the poverty levels (and acceptance for base level of ‘entertainment’), too many languages and no pan audience for average films, are some of the reasons why the films are more crap.

Well NTR is a gamechanger! Let me tell you how;
He is the actor who has trusted directors that had given flop movies before working with him and when they worked with ntr, they turned out to be hits.
Ntr worked with puri jagganath for temper(a huge hit btw) who before that gave a flop called loafer. Similarly he worked with sukumar for Nannaku prematho(it was a hit) who gave a good film before that called 1 Nennokadine but it failed at the box office. Later he worked with the director Bobby who gave a huge disaster called Sardar gabbar singh but the film with ntr named Jai Lava Kusa was a blockbuster. Worked with Trivikram for Aravindha Sametha Veera raghava which was brilliant film and a box office hit but before that trivikram gave his worst film in the form of Agnayathavasi
Now, NTR has done Devara with Koratala siva who before this gave a disaster movie named Acharya... ig we know how devara will turn out to be! Fingers crossed!
One thing i know is that ntr is good at choosing scripts, temper, nannaku prema tho, jai lava kusha, all were a breath of fresh air in that cramped group of cliche movies at that time.

Rajamouli's movies are that good that when the next movie flops due to bad creative choices and not reaching expectations, it is termed as curse now. Ramcharan's Orange(2010) even though a commercial flop was still a very decent movie and also has a cult following in our Telugu states. The songs are still so popular.

Indeed ,even director like puri jagannadh had also given some cringe films like liger and double ismart, but still his contribution towards telugu film industry is incomparable.
Even there are top telugu stars like Mahesh babu, Allu arjun those haven't work with SSR yet, still those guy's have given a lot of great commercial films over the years.

In one of the interviews of Resul Pookuty, the sound designer of Slumdog Millionaire says he could not get any films much after winning oscars. Later when he met a hollywood person he told him that's because he is under a curse called 'Oscar Curse'. Most people after winning oscars will never end up getting jobs or even end up in doing bad projects. I have immense fear for SSR now.
