  • The number of interviews featuring #bollywood celebrities that defend their movies or work with the most lame excuses are endless. Venkat Prabhu with #goat blamed CSK, Sidharth Anand with #hrithikroshan and Fighter blamed indians not experiencing flights, #akshaykumar is adamant not to take a break and some celebrities are just delusional. I hope you like the video where we discuss When Indian Celebrities Can't Take Criticism

IMO, the movie *Fighter* underperformed due to....
▶️ Sid Anand, Hrithik, Deepika Padukone were all a part of YRF Spy Universe. Also Ashutosh Rana who played a cameo in Fighter. So this particular fact confused the audience a bit.
▶️ Sid took all high face value stars like DP, Anil Kapoor, Karan Grover, even Sharib Hasmi in a cameo (as he has become a known face after Family Man series). But all duties & responsibilities were shouldered upon HR only which I think didn't go down well with audience.
▶️ Lastly the most important reason is audience as Indian Citizens don't have *Much Knowledge* about Indian Airforce, Air Wars, Flying Techniques etc so they couldn't grab the concept of the movie easily & just assumed it to be a copy of Top Gun. I don't say there isn't anything in India called "Indian Air Force" or "Indian Air Fight" but general audience don't have much knowledge about it. They Movie would also have underperformed if instead of Air Force, it'd have been Navy based (Naval Related). Yes had the movie being Indian *Army* centric, it'd have definitely accumulated more audience's love & BO Revenue.

    • @ShreyoshiRoy-o7t
      @ShreyoshiRoy-o7t 5 дней назад +28

@@ratha_bhabatoshI don't think Indian having less knowledge about Air Force plays any role in its underperforming....
Gunjan Saxena also performed good even after having a bad female lead...
Indian audiences watch Mafia movies...you mean they are exposed to mafia???
Also Indian audiences watch K dramas and Hollywood films too...
So the thing is that the movie had a very predictable storyline...the patriotic films are almost typecasted and become simmilar....

@@ShreyoshiRoy-o7tyou have to understand Gunjan (ott), Hollywood, K-Drama all of these are popular in Tier 1 metro cities only. Fighter worked well in metro cities. But a big film like fighter had to work in tier 2,3. Aerial action genre is not popular in Masses. Even top gun Maverick is not popular as Mission Impossible in India. Other than Top gun Maverick, which aerial action film is popular in India!!
No aerial action film worked in India till now. Gadar 2 wasn't unpredictable storyline.

What is this narrative that goes on - "Oo we work so hard...we have struggled so much". The kind of compensation these movie industry people get for their struggle and hardwork is way way higher than most other industries. Everyone works hard and even after getting a decent amount of success in their fields...many aren't compensated well enough. Eg. Engineers, doctors, lawyers, govt officials and other academic fields (and not to forget the daily criticism they get from their higher ups). Even the sportsperson (other than cricket) aren't compensated well enough even after being at top of their game. But its the film line people that complain a lot.

    Why fighter didn't work:
    - Terrible promotions (a war film is marketed with unnecessary dance numbers, instead of heer asmani and mitti being used primarily)
-It's trailer had elements of jingoism (which made people skeptical and pass it off a any other indo-pak conflict film)
Imo, the film was very good, and if they had just stuck to the camaraderie and Hrithik's inner battle in the trailer, it would have worked better. Also its high time that Sid should stop adding unnecessary item number, just because Hrithik is a amazing dancer.

Talking about the downfall, i feel that the film industry is obsessed with certain ranges or ideas of the films normally, actually the large mass of audience is too questionable as well, when something new is attempted, ofc with flaws it gets bad reception, and when something old is tried over again, they are questioned, dude its business the product that is standfront in the market the older generation mostly connects with it.

9:55 Barfi k songs kisi yaad bhi hain aaj? But we still playing Saans and Challa... That chashmish had it coming as ge tried to outwit the king of wits. And secondly when you are interviewing a big start with the sole intent of promoting their film you just can't say you don't like the music of their film, especially of which you're doing a promotion of. It's uncalled for and unwarranted criticism. Keep your personal choice to yourself.

I had never known anyone around me not loving Barfi for its songs, not connecting to those soulful charts or not playing them till date, until I read this message today

Movie makers should understand that there is no perfect formula for movie success… I heard some directors surprised that that project became more successful than expected… Stree2 is latest example where I don’t think any of the makers expected that much collections…

With all fairness casual movie goers like me are not tired by watching Akshay Kumar again and again. I do have problems with the certain scripts he chooses and lack of good directions in some of his movies, but not with the frequency of his movies.
What’s more annoying to me is TnRP making an issue about his movies coming once in 3 months in almost every video. When most of our circle don’t agree with it.

They are not completely wrong either. Making a movie, series, or even a TV serial is a tough job, especially in today's time when the audience has so many entertainment options available.
The job of a professional critic or reviewer is much easier compared to the creators. Then there are those on RUclips who call themselves reviewers or critics, but they have zero knowledge about technical aspects like screenplay, direction, storytelling, etc. When they criticize or review a movie or series, it's a joke. They cross the line and make statements as if no one has better knowledge of filmmaking than they do.
Some people are cautious in their criticism, but even then, they don't critique for the betterment of a movie or series; their RUclips channel gets involved, focusing on views and likes for their target audience.
Without any professional course or technical knowledge, a person can say they didn't like a movie or series, but calling that personal preference a "review" is nothing but a joke.

People who can't take criticism either prove their stance by completely missing the point just to have the last laugh or just give explainations for the same or even going the "you don't know how much hardwork it takes" route. Or argue their way out till having the last laugh.

She is a superstar now and not a newbie to succumb to a Director’s unjust demands.Fighter could have seen a different fate if it was promoted in a right way because the movie was genuinely good .
