Made this tonight as a Christmas gift for my sister who lives on an acreage. I'm sure she'll love it. Thank you for making the process so easy to follow!
That is so wonderful! I love mine and I use it every summer in the garden. If your sister lives on acreage and has a garden I'm sure she will just love it!
I think I may be able to make this. It’s very hard for me to make anything from watching a video but you did such a great job. I am gonna try it. Thank you so much for sharing. I really appreciate it.
Looking forward to trying this. I watched the video and the directions were simple enough that This beginner feels like I could do it. Thank you for sharing
Wonderful! I’m gonna make mine bigger and with a designated loop at the opening for the button so my string doesn’t let go, and have the opening not so big as my toggle is tiny lol 😂. Thankyou so much for this tutorial! Subscribed! 😊
The waistband is approx. 2" wide (when you fold the 4.5" hem and in half) The length according to the video is about 80". Both of these are easily changeable. If you want a wider waistband start with a wider width of fabric and length can be altered by adding additional strips.
Where did you find your sturdy string and any idea what size it is? Does the string stretch? I’m looking at toggles and cording and all of the cording has a stretch to them? Great tutorial! I have the fabric and am excited to sew some!
Hello Mary Ann! In all honesty, I have no idea where the string was purchased. It was gifted to me by my late Aunt and knowing her it was old. It is called Maxi-Cord (Braided Polypropylene) and in the description it mentions macrame. It is a 3.5mm size. I think you could also use paracord as long as it fits through your toggle.
I actually got it off a jacket that the elastic was worn. I would search for an extra-large toggle if purchasing. More than likely, you will be able to find it better online than in a store.
What a great idea! And a great tutorial! I just made one today for a friend who has chickens!

Great tutorial! I was looking to make this to gather eggs and for clothespins and of course harvest time. How wide and long is the waistband? Thanks 😊

The pocket, is the 11” the top or the side?
Love your tutorial, where did you get your toggle? That is large enough to fit both strings. Thanks

I can’t find your Etsy shop. Do you have a link by chance? Love this pattern!

How long does it take to make?
Hello! Depending on skill level it can take as little as 1-2 hours or longer. I am not 100% sure as I did not time myself making it.
Where do you source your toggles?
Amazon
How long does it take you to make one? :)
For me personally, I think it would take about 2 hours if I made it start to finish. I have not timed myself.
@@inflorescencedesigns4180 That's great, thank you!! Yours came out lovely.
Is there a printed pattern?
There is a printed pattern available for purchase on my Etsy site "Starting to Bloom" the free tutorial is only available via the video.
Where do you get the toggles?
I ordered mine on Amazon.
Thank you
