I've been using the L'oreal Infallible for a couple years after leaving my makeup bag at home while on a business trip. (I don't recommend - nearly lost my mind) I only had a drugstore at my disposal and read about this foundation. I have tried to go back to my expensive foundations and as a makeup artist now have tried several others and I keep going back to it!! Save your money; go with this!

My go to foundation for a long day, that I know never lets me down is Estée Lauder double wear. It’s a classic for a reason! I find that if I do a light layer over properly prepped skin, it looks pretty, and isn’t heavy at all.
I just recently picked up the L’Oréal tinted serum based off of your glowing recommendation. I’ll admit I was skeptical, because I have a pretty oily t zone, but I wore it for a long day yesterday, and was super impressed by how gracefully it wore on my skin. I did get shiny for sure, but I didn’t get greasy, or overly oily looking, and it didn’t do anything weird on my nose, or chin as the day went on. I will definitely be reaching for it often as a good everyday option. Thanks for the great recommendation!!
I spray my beauty blender sponge with setting spray and use it to set powder under my eye after concealer. It helps with creasing in the eye area dramatically. I also use this technique at the end of my makeup instead of spraying the setting spray in a random way. It works better to know where I am applying the setting spray.
You mentioned a good translucent powder foe touch ups throughout the day but didn’t suggest any. Maybe in another video? Love your techniques and teaching ability!

I use primers without silicone. For me, silicones make foundations slide. And indeed: Light creams/moisturizers. Louis Widmer Emulsion Hydro active UV30 is a great one! It goes with any foundation i have.

I love the bareminerals powder & liquid foundation, as well as the Loreal Infallible Fresh Wear. Hi Lisa, I totally agree about minimal layers of foundation. My very favorite setting spray is the Charlotte TILBURY Airbrush Flawless. It gives a beautiful finish to my makeup and my makeup still looks great at the end of the day

Thanks for all the good tips! I find that if I use the Tatcha liquid silk primer and the Charlotte Tilbury setting spray almost any foundation I use will last all day! My favorites are the It CC cream and the Estee Lauder Futurist!

I use drunk elephant protini moisturizer and colorscience mineral sunscreen. I never had any issues with foundations (Charlotte tilbury, westman atelier, Lisa Eldridge). I 100% agree with you on waiting until the moisturizer soaks into the skin.

Hey Lisa! I am relatively new to your channel and have already learned a lot from watching your videos. Loving the E.L.F. skin care for my oily skin and have begun using some of their powder makeup as well. I have not heard you mention Jane Iredale cosmetics at all. I love their powder foundation, primer for oily skin and setting mist. I'm not a fan of the powder blush or eyeshadows as they seem to be too pigmented for me and I tend to put too much on. Have you done any videos on their products? Thanks for your videos, and for including drug store priced products in your reviews to keep things affordable!

I always learn something from your videos, which is why I enjoy your channel so much! A tip I learned from Elle Leary, is that you can use different primers on different parts of your face, depending on your skin's needs. I never thought about that before!

Wow Lisa...i listened to every thought and you touched base on so many good ones. There has been so much talk lately on the dewy radiant products, and I'm realizing my 60 year old textured skin doesn't look it's best while wearing them. I am so loving your hair shorter and straight. Very flattering.
Having dry skin, I'm a big fan of the NYX Marsh Mellow Primer. It plays well with foundation. And I do tend to use a dewy foundation, but it stays all day, I think because my skin is dry. I long for the days when my skin was an oil slick. Nowadays, I don't even have to set with powder.
A definite yes to setting sprays. I usually go in afterwards with a damp sponge to press it in.

Lisa, I found a lightweight moisturizer for my dry flaky skin. It’s called Zeroid Richnetic Cream 5% Urea (Dr. Dray mentioned it). Beautiful under makeup and really helps with surface dehydration.
My absolute favourite setting spray is the urban decay all nighter in glow since I have super dry skin.
What’s a good primer for a foundation like Estée Lauder ? Love this foundation but it’s a bit too Matte. Thanks ☺️

I have found applying a light dusting of powder, with a big fluffy brush, over my face after my skincare and before my makeup really helps my makeup to last and wear well.
Thank you for the tips! I have noticed when I have used setting powder recently, it is settling into my large pores on my cheeks. My cheeks are very dry. I use no.7 powder or charlotte tillbury. Any suggestions?

I used to be a banquet server in a hotel and I would always be made up but sometimes got shiny (especially in the summer) from setting up the ballroom. I found the perfect blotting papers are toilet seat covers. They absorb all the shine and leave you mattified. In a pinch they will work!

Very helpful and informative video. I always have a problem with my nose looking patchy after applying makeup. Doesn’t seem to matter what brand. I always use primer and build my foundation by using small amounts. Any suggestion how to alleviate this problem? Thanks so much !
I have the same issue. Try using a slight bit of powder on your nose, before you apply your foundation.

I recently learned that there's a difference between a setting spray and a fixing spray. If you want your makeup to last, you want to use a fixing spray, and a fixing spray has alcohol in it. That will make your makeup last all day.
I actually use both. I use the setting spray to tone down the powders on my face, and then when that's dry, I use the fixing spray to set it all in.❤❤
That's what I do too. I use a setting spray everything I add powder to set my foundation and at the end to set it after I do the finishing powder at the end of my makeup application.
This whole video was so informative! The moisturizer in the beginning was the best take away for me! I didn't think about the thickness of it. Would you apply moisturizer and sunscreen together?
Adding SPF to your moisturizer will dilute the SPF and you’ll have inconsistent coverage which defeats the purpose of wearing it at all. Artistry Skin Nutrition Matte Day Lotion SPF 30 is a great lightweight formula. The whole Skin Nutrition line is fantastic actually, it’s like vitamins for your face :)
‼️Great tips‼️ Before they sold blotting papers (yup, old school here) I realized that the cheep restaurant napkins work great, and always grabbed a stash. I’ve purchased many blotting papers over the years, but still go back to a great cheep napkin (Starbucks has great ones BTW😉)❣️❤️
Receipt paper works good too. I buy it at the store and either cut it into pieces or rip some off. In a pinch, I have used actual store receipts from my purse. I don't like to do that, but a gal has to do what shes gotta do.
@@cindymeadows5394 please research the receipt paper you’re using. The chemical on most which is activated by the machine during the heat transfer process (they aren’t “printed “ with ink anymore) contains BPA, which you don’t want anywhere near your face. Please just be aware 🤓

which Wayne Goss has a video on, is after moisturizer and primer to lightly dust a translucent powder before foundation to help it last longer.
Maybeline Fit Me Loose Powder or Honest Beauty Loose Powder are both great. Angie from Hot and Flashy has recommended both.
I was listening to the order in which the products were applied but I didn’t see you apply sunscreen (unless O missed it) so please tell me the order,I use a moisturizer,sunscreen and primer. Thx 😊
