A flag always means something. Always stands for something. It is a physical symbol of dominion and values. Thats part of why it’s such a powerful sight when armies charge with their flag flying overhead. When soviet tanks and troops charge across a field in Eastern Europe in WW2 we see the whole might of the Soviet Union advancing forward like a fist delivering a blow. It’s why when the Stars and Stripes went up over Iwo Jima it was a symbol of American victory and dominance.

It’s ll about our paycheck and has been for decades, that’s why we’re where we are today. Until the paycheck goes away or becomes less important than these issues, nothing will change for the better. Hard times are coming and hell is at the doorstep.
You can see the claimed territory in many churches today. I bring up the First United Methodist Church in my town. Ten years ago you wouldn't see pride flags in a church but now they mark every major sign of the FUMC. Same with the Presbyterian church a block or so away from that church.
Pride Flags have to have some sort of spiritual significance to the Left outside of just supporting a particular minority group. They're everywhere, unlike similar symbols like the black fist or hammer and sickle. There's got to be some sort of deeper reason why this symbol in particular became such a thing. The name being a reference to one of the cardinal sins? The rainbow being an appropriation of God's promise to humanity after the flood? All of the above and more?
Pastor Doug is one of the few men in Christendom who stand up straight enough to be able to see above the fray. He is calling us from the crows nest of culture because he, unlike so many in the Church, sees battle front moving our way with alarming speed.

I don't think being cancelled is akin to a government imposing punishments. My neighbor is (imho, but also in the opinion of many of my fellow neighbors) a bit of a loon. I won't go into the details, but we try not to interact with him (or run afoul of any of the things that trigger his acting looney). The result is that we do not invite him to the neighborhood barbecues and we generally don't do business with him except in very passive ways. (If he wants to stop in to the corner coffee shop to get a morning cup of joe and a pastry no one would stop him, but no one wants to engage the services of the landscaping company he runs, and it angers him when he sees us patronizing his rivals.) We also warn new neighbors who move into the area about him.

I would not want the government saying that no one can do business with the guy, but the market demands that I, as an individual, be free to not do so and free to encourage others to not do so. Should I be able to classify that as hate speech and have it banned? I would say no, but by your standards, it should be and this is the problem. Who decides what speech is acceptable? The very discussion creates a pivot point of unbalanced power of one group over another. What happens when your speech becomes the offending party? What will you say then?

i.e./e.g.: What are some examples of practical differences that would contrast between the Christian who takes a firm conscious stand *against* the pride flag, as you prescribe ... vs.... the Christian who agrees it stands for all ungodliness, yet doesn't take a firm conscious stand *against* the pride flag?
Is it more than commenting on the news?... speaking out in the check-out line at Wal-mart? ... speaking at City Hall and/or the School Board meeting?

My thoughts exactly, I really enjoy Pastor Wilson and I am a big fan of Canon+'s content, having said that, he lives in a world apart from mine. The biggest problem I have encountered is bible illiteracy. Even people that have been Christian all their lives have not read the bible through. When Jesus Christ saved me, I took to heart the First Psalm and have not looked back since. To my surprise pastors in this little town of east Texas are not well verse on the bible and a such the entire congregation is mistaken on what God's purpose for His Church is. We need to get Christians reading their bible.

This is the entire problem. Americans have an idea of what the Bible says, or if something sounds Christian. The issue is that, if something sounds Christian too many people assume that everything said after that is sounds teaching. Biblical illiteracy is incredibly ironic, since everyone has access to scripture on their phones, but no one reads it. Reading scripture is something we really need to focus on, but even before that, getting people to go to a church that is faithful to the word of God.

@@scottyyoch3537 We would not be in a much better spot by simply acknowledging Christ as King. We put "In God We Trust" on our currency, even while doing the exact opposite of what God requires. Paying Christ lip service doesn't do this country any good when it's rebelling against everything God requires us to do.
