Come checkout my parrot merlin.
He's not talking yet and not stepping up yet. I'm trying so hard to tame him..
He's gonna sound like he's got turrets after I've finished with him:-)..
Has anyone got any tips on taming them( ringnecks)..
How old is your parrot?
@@rayanal-tobli5347 he's around 14month old... They get the black ring around 18months..
They take sometime to talk so just show him some vids ever day make sure your parrot is listening. Also another way is to cover his/her cage while he is inside so its dark for your parrot then put some vids so he/she can listen more clearly. And for training make sure to get some treats for everything he does so keep him on the stand and get the treat in ur hand then call him/her, it will take sometime till your parrot comes but its fine it will improve. Also make sure to pet her/him on her/his whole body so he/she can get used to it . You can also train he/she to do more stuff for example shaking hand they can also do that. I hope I helped well enough, if u need to ask anything else i am right here.

great advise. thank for helping out 😊 I would suggest to just keep the petting to the head to avoid any hormonal behaviour, but get get them used to being help if you need to get them into the cage in an emergency situation.
