Yeah you're point is absolutely correct. The Giga didn't seem to be a killing machine like I Rex or Indoraptor. It wasn't even an escaped dinosaur and basically did nothing wrong.
Even the bullying of old rexy's within reason, she would've done the same if roles were reversed, it was literally nothing personal and fair game for every apex predator
@@dee-jo5hw Compared to the indos it was pretty much just very grumpy and held a vendetta against the humans, I always liked how it mirrored the crocodile from Peter pan with the swallowed telephone
@@dee-jo5hw I don't think it's a villan...(at least before it broke out of it enclosure) but still didn't really do any thing wrong except make t rex fan boys mad.
Really makes the whole 'Joker' thing Collin said more an ironic joke considering the Giga really didn't do anything like you said. As much as I love the fight between them, it did kind of feel out of nowhere until you see the prolong and then see why it was need. But, yeah, I agree, unlike the two hybrids, the Giganotosaurus felt more like an animal than a big bad.
I remember thinking how weird it was that the “villain” was so natural behaving. It absolutely did not deserve to die that way. Hopefully we’ll see some more of this amazing dinosaur in the future
The giga in the cretaceous was getting its teeth cleaned, and the trex either intruded on the gigas turf or was trying to hunt in its hunting range, which led to the two having a fair one on one fight that the giga won. The modern giga lived in the reserve, with rexy taking food from its territory when she was dumped in the reserve; the scars on giga were probably from the buck and doe rex pair. The giga was a predator just living in its home until plot magic decided *time to die*
Maybe we also should address the elephant in the room, being the fact that Giga and Rex lived 30 million years- and nearly half a globe apart.. plot magic indeed
@@nativepredator8803 JWD ending with Rexy and the two Trexes are indeed confirmed to Buck and Doe, the Rex couple from JP2 and FYI Rexy was born on Isla Sorna if you read the novel, there are 10 Rexes on Isla Sorna well now 7 since an old adult and a juvenile died in the books and the 3rd is the bull that died to Spino, Rexy is one of the 10 Isla Sorna Rexes she's just only selected to be moved to Isla Nublar and Camp Cretaceous is also canon to the JW Franchise and the Spino in CC is confirmed to be the same Spino from JP3 but more mature.
@@nativepredator8803 Nobody has ever said that. It has been confirmed multiple times through multiple sources that those films are still canon. Isla Sorna literally makes a cameo appearance in Dominion, and is name dropped in both this film and Fallen Kingdom. And like the guy above me said, the Buck and Doe Rex's from The Lost World appear at the end of this film. Nothing personal man, but you have no evidence to back your claim up.
Giga definitely had one of the coolest designs in the franchise and was the highlight of virtually every scene he was in. The realistic portrayal was refreshing, but his screen time insufficient as already mentioned.
Appearance wise it's still inaccurate as they were noted to not have ostioderms like crocodiles; it's obvious they plugged in crocodile DNA to make it, similar to the mosasaur. But it was realistic in its behavior. Many predators don't look to outright kill each other over territory unless it gets personal.
The Giganotosaurus genuinely got done absolutely dirty. I had the same issue right after viewing. It wasn't an monster. It was an animal. It's my biggest issue with the film and honestly the movie disappointed in the end.
Ikr a whole film that made it look absolutely amazing only to be brutally disregarded like roadkill at the end just because Rexy fans are big cry babies, Jurassic world 3 is supposed to be the Finale so let Rexy die and let a new Carnivore take the top spot.
@@TheWererapter92 I wouldn't say it's even the fan boys fault. It's just the fact they made giga look like a straight up victim. The film producers just did a shit job of displaying the gigant
I think rexy should have been killed to end this circle for good. Giga died in a stupid way.. same as indoraptor. This franchise has gotten redicilouse.
This was definitely one of my biggest problems with the film. Zeb was just being a normal animal and he ironically died for it which honestly makes me feel VERY bad for him. Even my friends asked me, "That big spiky dinosaur didn't do anything wrong did it?", and they're not even as big of a dinosaur fan as I am.
When even people who don't like dinosaurs that much could see how much of a victim Zeb was, you KNOW there's a problem with his portrayal in the movie.
Yall gotta remember that the indoraptor and the indominus rex were literally made to kill. The giga was jst the villan of the movie cs everyone loves trex
It's weird how people say that she was supposed to be this big bad dinosaur when really she was just being an animal Yeah she probably would have almost killed rexy but at least make her do more then just fight the t-rex. Make her feel like the joker then being an animal. Make her a crazy maniac
I love how Zeb was marketed as the big bad guy dinosaur , and yet when you watch the actual movie he literally does nothing wrong. Like even with the prologue added in, he’s still almost surprisingly chill for a JW carnivore .. I feel like there’s so many scenes that was cut from this movie
Besides the "ancient rivalry" thing from the prologue, the whole point of the Giga in the movie is to showcase the fact that BioSyn were indulgent enough to put two apex predators together and let them kill each other. They can put both animals in separated enclosures, but they didn't even care. Like putting a tiger and a lion in the same ecosystem in the most careless way, just because they can. Theri and Rexy are basically creating the balanced ecosystem that Biosyn couldn't, so the Giga is a victim of Biosyn, not Rexy.
Both Rexy and Zeb are victims of BioSyn’s carelessness for the animals. Rexy was taken away from her new home that she had barely settled into for a few years and placed in a unfamiliar location. Zeb had another apex predator, Rexy, placed into his territory and was angry at the wrong animal. BioSyn are the true villains of the movie, while Giga was more of a jealous bully towards Rexy.
It is not just the Giganotosaurus which has been treated poorly, but the whole movie has been fragmented and disrespected by its own creators. It did entertain the kid in me born in 1993, but out of all the other JW movies, this one really felt like a huge missed opportunity. Blue-ray extended version or not, let's be honest: people will remember the theatrical release the most
Once an extended version comes out and I've watched that a few times i forget entirely the content of the theatrical release. Ive only watched the extended LOTR and I havent the slightest clue was was taken out for the original versions. So I definitely don't remember the theatrical releases other than the fact I was there.
I never perceived the Giganotosaurus as a Villain or a "Joker" like the Indominus (thanks to god), but as a normal animal. Because unlike the hybrids, it didn't kill for pleasure; Nor did it have personal affairs with the protagonists like the Spinosaurus. Therefore, it wasn't a menance that should be herdicated. So I came to feel unfair and even unnecessary its death since the protagonists were already safe while it fighting with the Therizino. If we leave favoritism aside, it didn't matter which of the two won (Rex o Giga), the result would still be the same to the characters and to the sanctuary. And personally, I hate to see the Rex as the hero that saves the day. It is supposed to be a menance just like the Giga and the other predators.
A lot of the things the Giga did isn't really that different from what Rexy pulled. Giga was a big dinosaur that crossed paths of our heroes, nothing more, nothing less and definitely no more dangerous if it were any other dinosaur.
@@hayabusaorlovina2761 oh yeah, and then it sits on a lounger with a hawaiin t-shirt,sunglasses,and a coconut drink in hand with his beautiful wife and his son, little giggy!
I thought I was the only one! Honestly I walked out the theater and was Mad That Giga didn’t do much, and was Deeply Saddened to know that it died for Nothing. I actually wanted Rexy to Be dethroned(I know a lot of people would disagree but if done right could make everyone happy)for once, I was actually rooting for Giga, it was just defending its home. All to be tag teamed by two Dino’s that wernt even acting realistically.

Even in prologue, giga is not a villain. All it does is defends itself and its territory from tyrannosaurus. Rexy is shown asan aggressor in that battle. Honestly it's the same story as with spinosaurus. During the fight, tyrannosaurus seems to be more brutal and aggressive until spinosaurus gains the upper hand and kills it.
Although this Dino was meant to be the main villain, it’s death was still pretty sad and I’ve seen some people say that and I actually loved how such a billion-dollar company known for having featherless dinos for 29 years until the 6th film actually made the giga a living animal only attacking because it’s territorial, like the Therizinosaurus in the same film
You're pretty much right, they showed it as sort of a victory when actually an innocent creature was killed in a very horrendous way, idk, I wanted that one to make it through
The one who I feel sorry for is Ripper/Indoraptor. He wasn't even raised like an animal. He was a prototype literally raised as a lab rat/prisoner. Which is why he was so messed up as he was. He was a victim. He definitely deserves to be shown more of his story.
@@martonmeszaros1187 true. But at least Indominus Rex still lived like an animal until she broke out. And the Giga lived like a true apex in the Biosyn valley until the facility was destroyed, and he was really just an animal at heart. While Ripper was never an animal to begin with. His very existence was screwed up from the moment he was hatched
@@spider-man500 The Indominus didn't get to live as an animal though, she was kept in a glorified cage that was waaaaay too small for an animal her size her entire life.
The Giganotosaurus has awesome design and ominous moments in this film, it does makes sense that it portrays animalistic behaviors throughout the film… So basically like Giganotosaurus did nothing wrong and just act on primal instincts
I can just imagine Giga is reading the script, Rexy has something helping her read it as her small arms, and Theri is just listening to a audio form of the script
@@D3STRUCTOR_ no Rexy was literally louder than Giga it’s the stupid fucking rexy fanboys probably gonna start attacking the director of Rexy dies plus this movie loves to make Rexy all tough and shit when every villain bodies her easily it’s fucking stupid The prologue was better than the actual movie
If their gonna compare her to the joker. Make her feel like joker. Make her a crazy maniac. Instead of just being there to look cool. Give her more character like the I-rex .how is that the I-rex felt like more like joker then Zeb did. Because she was able to out smart the humans and turn the raptors against the humans and kill innocent humans and dinosaurs.
If I had to rewrite the story so that the giga would look like a villain and a badass one I would do it like this: 1. Make the giga bigger and more aggressive and more territorial 2. Make it act like it's trying to expand its territory because it's lacking resources 3. The battle of the rex and the giga in the forest still happened but it's in the rex territory, the giga challenges the rex and overpowers her, the rex retreats. And the giga claims t's new territory 2. I would make the therizinosaurus almost kill claire but would be stopped by a spinosaurus the theri retreats and the spino proceeds to chaise claire but is interupted by the giga challenging the spino for it's territory, they fight, clair runs away, the giga makes the spino retreat and claiming it's territory. 3. The final battle would be a 3 way battle Rexy v Giga v Spino. In this battle no dino would die ,instead it would be a tie. All three of them retreating due to injury and once all three of them is healed they go back to their respected territories. Tell me watcha think!
@@tortis009 I agree. However I feel Like rexy needs to be put down. She is old and needs to lose like she always has been at the beginning of these fights and actually stay defeated. I honestly wouldn’t mind / welcome her dying and another, younger rex, possibly even Jr from the lost world to take her place.
Or, bear with me! This is a crazy idea, buuut! What if, we make the Giga behave like a real animal, make it kill a couple of people, and don't kill it at the end of the movie, only make it lose it's territory to the Rex??
@@11bluekitkats no it would not, giga is way bigger than spino by mass and around the same height. The prologue giga killed a Rex in seconds, it’s not only big but faster too.
Probably land carnivore, but for this universe lol. Because in real life T-rex is still larger(in terms of mass) and a little bit taller than Giganotosaurus also bulkier bodybuild. But hey, atleast it's still longer than the Rex.
when i first saw dominion, i actually cried when the giga died, not because they won. i was not crying out of relief and happiness. i was crying because they portrayed the giga wrong for the entirety of the movie. the way that they say its the apex predator, makes the audience think that it was all ruler and was in control of the valley, when in reality the giga was just being a dinosaur, acting like it should when it encounters a dinosaur that its never seen in its entire life. not because its evil, just because its a very territorial creature and is willing to die fighting.
This's pretty accurate: he decides to engage in some pest control; only to be temporarily turned into a literal *dragon*; fun, but profoundly weird decision on Dr. Malcolm's part.
Giga should get more screen time and explore more in it's back story, It was so cruel and pain that writers given to giga without any reason. It's was just a normal animal living it's life and Teritorial. It was not even shown as monster like indominus . They killed it without any reason. It didn't kill or harm anyone. Poor Giga😔 I'm feeling sorry for it. Instead of gig's place if it was spino it was more satisfying to watch it's death after years of rivalry with Trex . Rexy would taken it's true revenge and foe
I feel absolutely terrible for the Giga, when on screen i saw it die i just felt sadness, it didn’t do anything wrong and didn’t deserve to die, in reality Rexy was the real villain in this situation.
Rexy is not the villain either. Hell the Giga bullied Rexy for some scraps. And then the 2 were shoved into a small area. So they gonna battle. The Giga was definitely a bully though, because he went straight for the Therizino after defeating Rexy. Whereas Rexy helps defeat the Giga then leaves the Therizino alone.

I actually did like how it was portrayed as more of an animal than a mindless monster. I do wish they spent more time building tension between the giga and rexy since without the prologue there really isn't enough in-movie context for the two animals to fight each other in the end.
Can’t wait to see the extended cut of JWD (though it likely won’t be over 3 hrs long or Snyder cut level), hopefully it includes the prologue scene and more scenes that were probably cut from the film.
killing him off such a stupid way was the biggest mistake they could ever have done in the franchise. you could tell they murdered an innocent dinosaur that had no purpose to harm or killing for nothing, rather than living a simple animal life.
The Giga wasn't even a villain at all, it's just behaving like a normal animal. Competing for territories and food similar to crocodiles. The Giga didn't even had a murderous intent on Rexy on their first encounter on the valley, just casual food competition, Rexy was the one who sought vengeance against the Giga for being well, a normal Giganotosaurus.
interesting theory. yeah, while i didn't exactly feel sorry for the giga, i did feel it's death was not deserved as much as the other villain dinosaurs from the pervious movies. we really don't see enough of the giga to justify it being a villain. what i got out of the giga's interactions with the t.rex is that the giga does act like the most dominate predator and likes to bully other carnivores off their food, but predators do that naturally all the time in nature.
Thank you. I felt that he was a bully too. I understand Rexy was moved into Zeb's turf but that wasn't Rexy's fault. Then Rexy had her food taken like a lunch room bully. So I'm split. Yeah maybe he wasn't a villain, but he did seem the type to bully fight or kill most other things it comes across. Whereas Rexy has shown to understand the circle of life and the symbiosis of the creatures around her.
@@dennisclark4355 in the prologue, it has been said that the giga was just lying around, before rexy just walked into the gigas turf. In real life a rex would be able to kill a gig but it's a stupid decision. You can fight an animal and win but that doesn't mean it's a good decision. You can get mauled, bruised, beaten, Injured, all things could mean life or death. The trex died because it was being dumb. But because we root for the trex it was killed unfairly, don't go saying "oh its so mean it's a bully!" It's just the circle of life and the trex died fairly. It died because it was dumb.
While this video did make me feel bad about Zeb the Giganotosaurus, it did almost kill Rexy the Tyrannosaurus Rex, who is both the icon of Jurassic Park and a fan favorite dinosaur. So, I was still rooting for Rexy over Zeb. I will at least give Zeb the Giganotosaurus my sympathy over being killed in a double teamed attack. Rexy the Tyrannosaurus Rex is still a personal favorite dinosaur of mine in the entire franchise.
@@aliakbarmaliki3156 Giga's plot armor is just as big if not bigger than Rexy (Giga is weaker than T. rex irl) lol, in the movie it's the bully that stole Rexy's meal and gave her a nasty bite.
@@aliakbarmaliki3156 Rexy isn't a bully by any standards. She would take on any threat regardless of whether or not they were bigger than her, showing how brave she can be. Also, due to her plot armor, Rexy has saved the main human characters in every film she has appeared in, regardless of whether or not it was intentional. Rexy is awesome!
@Brown Man T. rex not really. Bullies are really cowards, and Rexy really hasn't backed down from a challenge, even when the odds were stacked against her. Even when retreating against Zeb initially, Rexy faced off against a predator larger than herself. Rexy is a predator at the end of the day, acting on the base instincts that all animals act upon.
I think people need to remember that in the best Jurassic Park movie which was the first one, the T-Rex almost killed children. The T-Rex almost killed innocent people. In the second movie The hero gets torn in half. Sometimes good people die sometimes bad people die sometimes good dinosaurs die sometimes bad dinosaurs die. They don't have to be this evil animal to die. I like the fact that the giganotosaurus didn't do anything bad because sometimes animals fight and sometimes animals die and they don't have to be monsters to die. I think the biggest mistake this franchise made was instead of having a dinosaur that attacked when hungry and anyone was fair game, that they just made them these heroes to save the day. It's stupid
Even with the prologue in mind, the Giga still comes across as the sympathetic party. The T. rex was the one who initiated the attack; the Giga, who was just minding his own business, defended himself and won the ensuing fight fair and square. Furthermore, there's nothing to indicate that the Giga in the movie is a clone of the one from the prologue; Rexy isn't really avenging her ancestor (or herself), she's just taking it out on someone else who happens to share the same species as the one who killed her ancestor/past self (for completely understandable reasons).
The real heartbreak is that he time travelled across millions of years and a whole ass continent, becoming the lone Giga in all of North America with his friends all 20 millions years long gone. So sad. Fucking hell… Get the most basic shit right, Hollywood, this is as egregious as thinking Megalodon lived alongside T-Rex.
It’s likely the extended cut will show us more of the Giganotosaurus outside of the prologue, I do hope it’ll continue to portray it as an animal, not some monster like the “Joker” as Colin described it. Maybe have Claire encounter it after the Therizinosaurus scene, show some of its backstory, if it had clashes with TLW Rexes, other Therizinosaurus, the Pyroraptors. Why they cloned it in the first place, is it cloned from the same Giganotosaurus DNA used in the creation of the Indominus Rex?
The movie will only have like 14 or 7 more minutes added and confirmed scenes is the prologue and a oviraptor and lystrosaurus fight scene so the giga will probably not have any more screen time
When I saw this I also felt bad for it, I was the only one not cheering at its death and the giga is my favorite dinosaur and seeing being an animal and trying to protect itself then it dies just had me sad, all it wanted to do was protect itself and it’s territory
I do kinda feel bad for the giga because she wasn't a murderous psychopath like the indomius who just kill because she wanted too.She was just being a animal and I really wish we could've seen more of her because she didn't really do much. I don't why they compare her to the joker I guess its because to make it seem like its the big bad dinosaur in the movie.
I thought that as well. The Giga didn't seem like it was a villain and it didn't give off that intent like Spino or the Indominus. It didn't go around killing everything in sight. Unlike the Indo or Scorpius Rex. It never displayed any real threat. The real threat was more of the fire. It also never killed anything. And the only time it did was to defend itself from two other dinosaurs, Rexy and Therizinosaurus. I didn't like either how it only got a few scenes only the little face of with Rexy, with the humans and the final battle. That isn't what a villain does. Indominus terrorized the whole JW movie and seemed like nothing could stop it. The Indoraptor took the whole ending of Fallen Kingdom. But it was talked about how badass of a hybrid it was and honestly kinda delivered. Sure it got taken out easy and a few hiccups but what movie doesn't. But definitely was disappointed the Giga got that much screen time and was claimed a villain
In the JP franchise, Giga IS the largest theropod. Way more things point to this than Spino: -Spino’s confirmed size is 43.9 feet long, 16 feet tall at head height (19.7 with the sail), and eight tons. Giganotosaurus on the other hand, is confirmed 50 feet long, 18-22 feet tall, and 9-11 tons (DinoTracker and Empire have different heights and weights, but consistently had Giga larger than Spino). -Indominus specifically had Giganotosaurus DNA for the SIZE, and the full size of Indominus would’ve been the same as that of the Giganotosaurus. -Alan Grant wasn’t the only one to say Giga was the largest theropod. Colin Trevorrow confirmed last year during the Prologue’s release during F9 that Giga was the largest. The viral marketing for JWD (DinoTracker) consistently called Giga the largest theropod, and Kayla Watts character in JWD also stated Giga was the largest. So within the franchise, Giganotosaurus is indeed the largest.
No, Giganotosaurus in JWD was 50.9 ft and 9 tons, also indominus rex in adulthood would've actually been much larger, 16.9 m to be exact. And finally, Spinosaurus grew to much larger lengths in camp Cretaceous at 50 ft long and weighing 10-11 tons, it's the heaviest carnivore in the franchise as far as we know, and in mass terms largest.
@@RedSpino there’s no proof that Spino grew to 50 feet in CC, and the new size chart for CC has it smaller than Spino. Also, Giga is confirmed 11 tons according to Empire, which is heavier than Spino. Not to mention EVERY source surrounding JWD confirmed that Giga is the largest theropod in universe.
@@mjjones2241 the new size chart is confirmed officially and purposely inaccurate now, and all the sources surrounding cc claim the spino as the largest theropod, it's very inconsistent and who's biggest really depends if you go on length or mass. And finally I'm just going off the JP wiki for these stats, and they infact listed sources for CC's spino size, tho given the page has reference errors, it may be dubious.
Funny how the Giga has the most ridiculous design in the entire franchise yet acts the most realistically. Also don't know why people were so happy cause that thing must have cost SO MUCH MONEY considering how big and specifically designed it is.
The Giga really frustrated me. Because 1 second it is acting and chilling like an animal(Which is good, but goes against what Colin Trevorrow described in as being the baddest dinosaur of the franchise/Like the Joker) Then next second it is suddenly stomping the Trex in such a monstrous(And once again, another middle finger to the Trex) with ease. Then suddenly, it goes back to being an animal when it gets cornered by both Rexy and the Theriznosaurus. This, mixed with its severe lack of Screen Time and just overall presence lead to the worst dinosaur antagonist in the franchise.
Though the Giganotosaurus wasn't my number one favorite, I can't help feel sorry for it. The final rematch between Rexy and Zeb would portray the T-Rex dominating fight, thanks to her recall experience fighting the Indominus Rex and claiming the territory as her own, thus letting the Giganotosaurus live.
@@aliakbarmaliki3156 Giga Bite Force is nowhere near T Rex Bite Force As i said T Rex Have one of the most powerful bite force in all dinosaurs 1 bite is all it need to kill giga Right in The Neck
The Gigan is one of the most divine and important dinosaurs species that increased excitement and beauty to this movie. When I first watched this for my birthday I knew there is something merciful and special about this enormous carnivore. I was shocked to see when the Gigan defeat the T.Rex but thankfully it did not cause any further gore or brutality as the Indominus. In the end I imagine what is like when if the Indominus ever try to kill the T.Rex the Gigan comes to rescue rather than being killed, then hopefully in the end they'll go separate paths to find perfect territorial places in harmony. Animals, whether they are carnivorous or not, cannot be judged just because they behave territorial or confuse to be part of the colonized facility within the natural environment. The only respect we offer is keeping our distance. Thanks so much for this video, I'm so glad I'm not the only one thinking and believing the Giganotosaurus is something much more than a villain.
Man, I never realized that wild animals/Zeb doing what they can to survive and just live life would get one of the most brutal death in the franchise... I guess the realistic animal behavior was not the best for a villain who got jumped and died in that way.😢😭 The hybrids and maybe the Spino were far better suited as villains but I like their attempt at a realistic villain/antagonist
Imo the prologue doesn’t add anything to gigatonosaurus death. It portrays two animals fighting to death for some reason and it’s not like it is the exact same giga who killed “Rexy”. Even if it is the one who’s Zeb DNA comes from, Zeb never killed any rexes as far as we know, so the ending feels pretty much the same. And Rexy herself shouldn’t be able to remember something that happened 66 million years ago.
They tried to make us feel bad for Rexy, they tried to make us satisfied with Rexy venging her f*cking 66 million years old ancestor, but all they did is to make us feel bad for the Giga, to make us on his side, and now, we want to make justice for it. Among the "Big T's", i'm team Giganotosaurus, and our dear Zeb deserves a revenge.
If they wanted to make the Giganotasaurus a hated creature it should have killed off one of the main characters, also I feel like we should’ve gotten a chase scene where it chase Owen and Dewanda Side’s character through the forest
Wish they represented the gig more accurately. It was taller, slimmer with teeth for cutting The rex was a tank with teeth and more powerful. Like comparing a cheetah to a tiger
Cheetah vs. Tiger = Giga vs. Rex??? Nah, that's a bad comparison. Cheetah is alot smaller and weaker than a Tiger, while Giga is almost as big and as powerful as a Rex. So, it's should be more like Leopard vs. Jaguar.
Giga is way better than a cheetah, cheetahs just get bent over in every other aspect of life that isn't speed. Giganotosaurus is more like t. rex just longer, skinnier, and MUCH faster.
To think this thing was probably mistreated when it was a youngster due to the scars it has. Most notably the gouging lip scar it has, really makes this Dino’s death much more f’d up. Even if it was a copy of the original Giga that killed the original Rexy, my man was so confused and was completely unaware of that rivalry. All the Giga did was protect his territory from another apex predator, (that being Rexy) he did nothing wrong.
The addition of the prologue doesn't do much to make me root for the Rex or hate the Giga. The Giga in the past still did the exact same thing, it defended its territory against an intruder. There's no "revenge" to be taken because the Giga still did nothing wrong.
No but it at least provides context that these creatures are natural born competitors in the Jurassic universe, it sets up their dynamic through the film. - Alastair
I genuinely felt crestfallen when it died. For all we know, this animal was the last of it's kind. The only one on earth. And we're supposed to cheer for its death. Gone, forever for all we know if Biosyn's destruction is anything to go by. It completely undermines the entire message of the film. Are we supposed to see these creatures as dangerous monsters to be destroyed, or are we supposed to see them as wonderful miracles to be protected and lived with? Pick one.
Zeb really wasnt villain in this movie, and tbh, i feel more like Roberta was villain of JW:D (for those who dont know who is Roberta, thats true name of Rexy)
Roberta is what you'd call her if you call the shark from jaws "Bruce" cuz like Bruce, Roberta was just a behind the scenes nickname for the animatronic, rexy on the other hand was a name referred to as in-universe, first in the novel by Robert Muldoon then in Jurassic Park: The Game (but spelled differently as rexie) and then in Jurassic world camp Cretaceous. In short, Roberta is a behind the scenes nickname, Rexy is a more widely used, damn near if not already canon nickname.
If they made the giga to be a monster, the death would have been satisfying, but because the giga was just like any other animal, it's death was tragic
Why does it have to be a villain? The T-Rex in the original movie almost killed children. It attacked innocent people. The T-Rex in the second film killed the hero and the people who saved the baby. Not only bad villain people and dinosaurs need to die. Sometimes dinosaurs fought sometimes animals fight they don't have to be evil to die
@@afshansabri7278 Yes, Boring. You can't really take an obvious characteristic of something and turn it into a name and expect it to be a good name. No offense though. And yeah, Zeb is also a bad name for it.
The giga actually stands 22ft tall and weighs 11 tonnes. Stated by Colin himself May not be the biggest irl but in the Jurassic universe, it’s definitely the biggest carnivore by a good mile
@@callalacra495 Spinosaurus is only 7 tons but 50 ft long in real life which is really pathetic for something like spinosaurus & jp3 spinosaurus was 44 ft long & 8 tons
I think the most heartbreaking thing about this is just how wasted it was. Even more so than the t-rex in JP3 (or at least on the same tier). And it looks so much better than the Indo-Rex & Indoraptor too. What a waste.
The Giga was literally a brute, people need to stop calling their story “heartbreaking” or “sad”. It was a dick to the Rex, and it clearly had pleasure stalking the humans characters. It had what was coming to them
There is no being a dick to the t rex. That’s called displaying dominance. The giga is an apex predator, same with rexy. Rexy was in its territory from its pov.
yes. he deseeved what happened to him. prime Rexy would have killed him instantly. and he also provoques therizinosaurus (that didnt want yo fight) he totally deseeved what happened to him and i celebrated it☺️
The Giga was an artificially inserted threat. They always throw something else in there as a counter to Rexy but Giga did NOTHING wrong. It was simply stronger and bigger than everything else and we were supposed to just accept that that made it bad. I think the trope of the T-Rex being the be all and end all in Jurassic Park/World (minus JP3) is played out and I would have like them to use some other narrative device other than "Rex has a friend and now big bad dino is doomed because dino teamwork make them stronger." like they did with JW1. The Giga was such a cool design that could have had major growth and approval as a successor to Rexy. Rexy didn't need to die Per Se but to basically have her "retire" and grow old graciously as the crowd favorite would have been better than knowing she is ALWAYS going to win due to some Deus Ex Machina turn of events. Keep in mind that this is coming from a point of view from a person who loves Rexy an the Jurassic series! Just my opinion.
I like how giga was just the stronger animal and not another hybrid. And the fact he did not do anything bad does make it a little sad but still "nature"
I already know about giganotosaurus, zeb didn't do anything... Then rexy fight zeb for no reason (thanks to REXY FANS, THAT REXY ALWAYS WIN THE FIGHT!!) R. I. P Zeb the giganotosaurus😢
I didn’t even really like it when they made indominus a “villain”. She was still just an animal. She was extra smart and crafty because humans made her that way. She wasn’t evil, she was being the best predator she could be which in the wild would have earned her a territory and helped keep her babies alive to adulthood. Plus, it isn’t like she had an understanding of right and wrong as human see things. It’s unfair to force human concepts on an animal. Wild predators have been known to go on killing sprees too. Even ones who were raised in captivity to be released into the wild. I thought her death was overly brutal and it made her “evil” even tho she would have no concept of what that meant. Like any sheltered teenager, once she got out in the world she went wild. She was just an animal like spino or giga.

True and even if Rexy lost the territorial fight with Giga she can still live with her siblings Buck and Doe.
Maybe we also should address the elephant in the room, being the fact that Giga and Rex lived 30 million years- and nearly half a globe apart.. plot magic indeed
Bull and doe don't exist in this timeline. Why is everyone forgetting that lost world and jp3 are not cannon in jurrassic world trilogy

It's weird how people say that she was supposed to be this big bad dinosaur when really she was just being an animal
Yeah she probably would have almost killed rexy but at least make her do more then just fight the t-rex.

Spinosaur was og but they didnt add him
I never perceived the Giganotosaurus as a Villain or a "Joker" like the Indominus (thanks to god), but as a normal animal.
It is supposed to be a menance just like the Giga and the other predators.
i mean it sorta did
A lot of the things the Giga did isn't really that different from what Rexy pulled. Giga was a big dinosaur that crossed paths of our heroes, nothing more, nothing less and definitely no more dangerous if it were any other dinosaur.
Plus the giga was chill 😎 it wasn't even active like indominus rex and indoraptor and I saw it sleeping at the tour of the sanctuary

All three of them retreating due to injury and once all three of them is healed they go back to their respected territories.

you could tell they murdered an innocent dinosaur that had no purpose to harm or killing for nothing, rather than living a simple animal life.
THE WAY HE SAID "Evolved monkeys" I WAS BURSTING INTO LAUGHTER LOL
Just say you are a t-rex fan but I am a giga enjoyer
Sometimes animals die and they're not the villain. It didn't have to be the villain. Animals fight one lives one dies
Thank you. I felt that he was a bully too. I understand Rexy was moved into Zeb's turf but that wasn't Rexy's fault. Then Rexy had her food taken like a lunch room bully. So I'm split. It's stupid
Loved the Giga in the movie !!! Definitely wished they showed more on the villain stuff
The movie will only have like 14 or 7 more minutes added and confirmed scenes is the prologue and a oviraptor and lystrosaurus fight scene so the giga will probably not have any more screen time
So, we finally got the name of the giganotosaurus?, ZEB?
ZEB the giganotosaurus.
When I saw this I also felt bad for it, I was the only one not cheering at its death and the giga is my favorite dinosaur and seeing being an animal and trying to protect itself then it dies just had me sad, all it wanted to do was protect itself and it’s territory
I really wanted the Spinosaurus in the movie I think it could have been one of the dinosaurs put in the sanctuary.
Way more things point to this than Spino:
-Spino’s confirmed size is 43.9 feet long, 16 feet tall at head height (19.7 with the sail), and eight tons.
@Brown Man T. rex no it’s not lol
I wish we got more story of zeb and I feel really sorry for him and I wish he still lived I just wished he lived
how to make a dinosaur the villain:
make it attack the main cast and the favorite dinosaur
boom your done
Funny how the Giga has the most ridiculous design in the entire franchise yet acts the most realistically.
Also don't know why people were so happy cause that thing must have cost SO MUCH MONEY considering how big and specifically designed it is.
How does the giga have the most ridiculous, list of the things that are ridiculous about it’s design
This movie is missing a whole story for rexy. Zeb seems like rexy’s villain but we never got that set up throughout the movie.
The Giga really frustrated me.
Because 1 second it is acting and chilling like an animal(Which is good, but goes against what Colin Trevorrow described in as being the baddest dinosaur of the franchise/Like the Joker)
Then next second it is suddenly stomping the Trex in such a monstrous(And once again, another middle finger to the Trex) with ease.
Then suddenly, it goes back to being an animal when it gets cornered by both Rexy and the Theriznosaurus.
This, mixed with its severe lack of Screen Time and just overall presence lead to the worst dinosaur antagonist in the franchise.
If that and I hate TREVOR COLIN👎 bad, I want a 👉👍💪BIG GIGA BETTER calm down
Though the Giganotosaurus wasn't my number one favorite, I can't help feel sorry for it. The final rematch between Rexy and Zeb would portray the T-Rex dominating fight, thanks to her recall experience fighting the Indominus Rex and claiming the territory as her own, thus letting the Giganotosaurus live.
No, no, no. Giga would kill Rexy anytime 1v1

Alan: giganotoasurus largest known carnivore.
Spino: what about meeeee WhAt AbOuT mehemeheeee
Spinosaurus is the longest
Man, I never realized that wild animals/Zeb doing what they can to survive and just live life would get one of the most brutal death in the franchise...
I guess the realistic animal behavior was not the best for a villain who got jumped and died in that way.😢😭
The hybrids and maybe the Spino were far better suited as villains but I like their attempt at a realistic villain/antagonist
And Rexy herself shouldn’t be able to remember something that happened 66 million years ago.
it cant be a the same rexy that lived 66 million years ao
They tried to make us feel bad for Rexy, they tried to make us satisfied with Rexy venging her f*cking 66 million years old ancestor, but all they did is to make us feel bad for the Giga, to make us on his side, and now, we want to make justice for it. Among the "Big T's", i'm team Giganotosaurus, and our dear Zeb deserves a revenge.
After watching this video I started to feel bad for the giga
I agree with everything you said in this video I love the Giganotosaurus and I feel bad that it went down unfairly so watching this video meant a lot
Also this video was so inspiring that I actually subscribed this is the first video about the Giga I have ever seen and I loved it
If they wanted to make the Giganotasaurus a hated creature it should have killed off one of the main characters, also I feel like we should’ve gotten a chase scene where it chase Owen and Dewanda Side’s character through the forest
Exactly a forest chase scene just like rex in JP2 and spino did In JP3 it would have been a nice call back to that
Wish they represented the gig more accurately. It was taller, slimmer with teeth for cutting
The rex was a tank with teeth and more powerful. Like comparing a cheetah to a tiger
I liked the design. Made it stand out. Personally, i could not care less about realism
Game version was a more accurate representation of the giga but yeah they need to make Zeb look villainous in Dominion.
@@aliakbarmaliki3156 gigas literally have 6,000 Newtons bite force while the rex Have 35,000 Newtons bite force
Giganotosaurus is only bigger
To think this thing was probably mistreated when it was a youngster due to the scars it has. Most notably the gouging lip scar it has, really makes this Dino’s death much more f’d up. Even if it was a copy of the original Giga that killed the original Rexy, my man was so confused and was completely unaware of that rivalry. All the Giga did was protect his territory from another apex predator, (that being Rexy) he did nothing wrong.
She was just living life😔
The addition of the prologue doesn't do much to make me root for the Rex or hate the Giga.
I would have rather had the giga and Rexy fight, her winning, and letting the giga getting up and walking away, letting both dinosaurs live
But Rexy CAN'T win against the Giga alone. I'd rather watch Giga kick that damn Rexy out of his territory.
Bringing Rexy back was a mistake. The nostalgia around her makes it hard for anything bad to happen to her to the detriment of others like the Giga

This is really cool! :)
I like how giga was just the stronger animal and not another hybrid.
And the fact he did not do anything bad does make it a little sad but still "nature"
I already know about giganotosaurus, zeb didn't do anything... Then rexy fight zeb for no reason (thanks to REXY FANS, THAT REXY ALWAYS WIN THE FIGHT!!)
