    Bought an all black ZX4R. For me, it was not necessary to have a quick shifter / autoblipper because using the clutch to control up shifts and rev matching is what makes me enjoy riding bikes. I already added a bunch of mods to make it look nasty, and next up will be a rear shock over the winter 👀 Zero regrets. But, to each their own!

    This is such a great insight into this bike.
    A lot of people think the ZX4RR is a solely track bike when in reality its actually a great daily rider (due to the comfy ergonomics). I cant believe how many people argue that the ZX4RR is a horrible street bike when its literally the opposite.
    And this speaks to the other issue in this video in that if you want a true race bike you're going to have to build that bike.
    ZX4RR if you want a fun daily rider that you can take on the twisties on the weekend, and ZX4R if you want a bike you can build out for the track since you're going to change the suspension and get a better QC anyway.

    I'm loving my 4RR. I don't race and I really doubt there are very many that do. Track time cost too much for me. I haven't had it flashed yet and may not. I'm enjoying the fuel milage and thinking about making some long distance rides on it. The roads between me and the Tail of the Dragon are great to ride. Even the short rides on the interstates are fun.

      @@ScoutsOut It is but there are others that are just as good. I also rode the Pigs Tail in Arkansa. I've got several roads close to me that have a lot of good curves. I just got back from riding one of them.

      Keep in mind, if you flash it you're voiding your warranty. And Kawasaki really are confident in this bike because the warranty is damn good. The bike is plenty fun as is, excellent build quality, and looks awesome.

    • @turbonoise
      @turbonoise 11 дней назад +2

      There's no such thing a "voiding a warranty" in the US. The mfg can deny a claim if they can prove your mod caused or directly contributed to a failure. They would have a hard time proving the added power caused any damaged because the bike comes with that much power in other parts of the world.

    I picked up a 40th anniversary Zx4RR for a base price of $9600 about two months ago. I had it back at the dealership in 3 weeks for the first 600 mile service. I love the shift assist. It will probably live a semi-pampered life as a sporty touring motorcycle. I already have a dedicated track prepared race motorcycle. What I really ought to do is give it a good cleaning and have a clear bra installed to preserve the beautiful 40th anniversary paint. It’s such an awesome motorcycle to ride, even covers distance well.

    if you install ftecu quickshifter you can have gp shift on the zx4rr in case you wanted both to be the same. Also it can be installed on the single r's as the plugs still sitting there behind fairing on left side of bike but also requires flash.
