The minor improvement I would suggest is to clearly identify (point) the specific button (left thumb or the right thumb) . I wish Nikon call the "Command" and "Sub-command" wheels simply "Front" and "Rear" wheel respectively.

Congratulations on your new camera. I use the 24mm f2.8 on my D800 all the time. It's certainly not an ultra-wide, but I'm usually not looking for anything wider than that.
when I switch to AF-C on my D800E I only have 2 choice S and 3D. I want AF-C but the focus point to be locked on the center when shooting birds in flight. Help?

This might be a dumb question but how do you activate the different custom settings? I'm new to Nikon Dslr's and I have to admit I find the menus a real pain.

Hello there, are you familiar with "photo SFX art" (just do a Google search for it...)? There you can watch a nice free video demonstrating the way to create brilliant photos. This made it possible for Joe to shoot pictures that have that wow-effect when you take a look at them. It may work for you as well.
