    Ok lars here is a weird question for you to show it should only take a few minutes if you would. But how do you create a title block down in the corner of a printout and what is necessary to be shown there. Thanks buddy

    • @cadcamstuff
      @cadcamstuff  7 лет назад

      Hi Bob, Yes, that is on my list. You have to use Autocad to create the title block and then bring it in. Not a great workflow, but I am sure the developers are working on this.

    I watch almost all your videos but due to time difference, to watch live is almost not possible for me, in INDIA. Thanks for good tutorials, yes eagle integrated is very good as i have started from Eagle when started learning electronics, now full product design can be done with F360, really very good add-on and certainly wait for your video on that !!!

    Lars .... I want to upgrade my mouse to be more functional with Fusion. I'm running Win 10 ,I7 processor. Is there a mouse that is capable of having better scrolling etc . Nice info thanks

      I am a Windows 10 user with a "Intel Core 17" processor also & I have just upgraded my conventional style $20 cordless mouse to a :- "Logitech M570" cordless mouse that has a thumb operated track ball. I have found it to be excellent for Fusion 360. I am finding that my hand doesn't get as fatigued because the cursor is moved with the thumb not the whole mouse, & scrolling is no problems either. It takes a little getting used to at first, but I am really glad I made the change Regards - Peter Spence. aka - Pedro.

      Peter Spence Thanks Peter .... appreciate the input. I was tempted to go that way. My biggest issue is panning the screen back around rather than going to the orbit icon all the time ... I'll have to give it a try. Thanks.

      Hi Robert and Peter, Hope you are having a great day!
      I am still stuck on Win7 :-)
      I used a Logitech M705 for years what was, in my opinion, a great buy. Today I use a CAD Mouse from 3DConnexion.com

    I don't get the cloud paradigm. Hard drives are fairly inexpensive nowadays. Not only that, unless you have a T1 line or better internet access, it's slower than molasses in January.

      Hi Ray, I am not an expert in internet speed. I have cable where I live with 30mb down and 5mb up. I have no problems with the whole cloud process.
      That being said, It is not just about the amount storage on your computer. It does make sharing files with other people easier and then there is the part where if I log into your computer with my ID, all my work is accessible.
      On top of the whole file storage, you can also offload some of the heavy system resources from your computer to the cloud. Like, simulation analysis and renderings.
      With all that, I fully accept that for some people these points holds very little value. That is fine with me. Inventor, for example, is not going anywhere, so you can still do CAD on a work station without being connected to the cloud.
      Thank you for watching the videos!!
      Have an awesome day!

    Lars, great job on the beginner to Fusion 360 and especially on Importing into 360. But how about something for the real beginner, novice to 360. I was a circuit board designer loooong time ago (35yrs) and have not used any type of CAD but I want to import several components and strip them of all the extra stuff and just get down to the bare plate to modify and then send to the CNC to cut out. I'm sure there are some like me who are a little older and a little slower but still want to learn and make things on out CNC router.
    thanks

      Lars uses a 3D Mouse for changing the model view without altering the cursor:
      www.3dconnexion.com/products/spacemouse.html
      He has mentioned his intention to make a short video on the subject, but he obviously hasn't been asked for it enough times....

    Regarding threads. Correct me if I am weong, but why bother model them when they are mostly down with specific tools like taps and threading machine macros as a specific process?

    • @cadcamstuff
      @cadcamstuff  7 лет назад

      Hi Rob, besides the people who want to 3D print them, yes, then it just comes down to appearance, making your model look more real.

      Lars Christensen Funny thing is I have a 3d printer and, aside from large threads to be used with other 3d parts, taps beat modelling and printing them when used with screws and bolts by a long way, IMHO.

    When will fusion 360 be able to process with torchmate plasma software?

      Hi td, It already does. Check out this video

      Lars Christensen I did watch that video but what I am being told that fusion doesn't have the processors to work the torchmate software. Could you give any insight on that. Also this video helped a lot and the one of the jimmy directs table has taught me a lot. Thanks!

    Hello Lars, great videos I ma following regularly :-)
    I go to ma Fusion 360 and noticed that I do not have new version that you are speaking of. Is this update going automatically or is just testing for beta version or what.
    How do I get new update of Fusion 360 is my question.

    • @jodyolivent8481
      @jodyolivent8481 7 лет назад +1

      It should download automatically. Check the clock in the upper right corner, it will tell you the progress when you hover over it with your mouse. Once you restart you will have the new version.

    • @ervinsilic669
      @ervinsilic669 7 лет назад

      Jody thank you on answer. I tried to see the clock but it is not present on any part that i go in right up cornet.
      I opened About under the "?" and on the first line of text it says this number: 2.0.2938
      is this version number?

    • @jodyolivent8481
      @jodyolivent8481 7 лет назад

      The clock is just to the left of your name. In this video @3:30 you can see it is next to Lars name. It should automatically update. Try closing fusion and reopening.
