this tapping solo is insane and the melody OMG.
It's easier than it looks. It's one of the first songs I learned on bass. The three note galloping is the hardest part of the song because of the stamina it requires.
@@AxleTrade Not fair. That part is sampled when they play it live...
This was the one of the first Muse songs I ever learned how to play and I never even knew that part was tapped
because it's not. It's actually a synth.
@@PhoenixFlight94 Pedals do exist which basically allow you to control a synth through your guitar or bass.
@@729MendicantTide i know, but on the album a synth was used for that part and their hired gun keys guy will play it live.
@@PhoenixFlight94 KoC was one of the things that started to tune me into how bad a lot of official rocksmith charts are....that part has never been played by Muse with a bass guitar, ever. it takes two seconds on google to figure that out. if they wanted to include it as a practice exercise for fun, sure, but putting it in the actual song is wrong. there are guitar hero charts for five-button toy guitars more accurate than some rocksmith charts...

I have been doing the tapping part as an arpeggio .I don't know if I should feel dumb or smart. Sounds the same but hell of a hand work out.
+Grey Fox Just watched their Live performance and it was a sequencer doing it on the track and the bassist wasn't tapping. He was just standing there. So for the sake of accuracy I will continue.

i have been doing the same and i find playing it as an arpeggio so much easier than tapping now but my hands are huge so i guess its not so bad for me

I watched a live performance where they played it sampler.
In the actual song it's a synth but I guess for Rocksmith Ubisoft tabbed it out for the bass part.

The bass is a Squire Vintage 70s Modified Jazz Bass, nearly same quality of a Fender Jazz Bass.

Looks like a Squier Vintage Modified 70’s Jazz bass with a hi-mass bridge put on it. I could be wrong though so don’t quote me on that.
What does the arrows on the notes mean?
its like your holding down the string and you release at that point
Rubén Serrano / Up arrow is pull-off, down arrow is hammer-on. Not how long to hold a note, thats thats what the lines are after a note

Pretty sure he plays the first half with a pick then ditches it for the second half, seen them live a few times and that seems to be the case

Felps Killer looks like a pretty standard 70's style fender jazz bass.
and Guitar Hero would have you believe that section is the guitar and not the bass.
