Love the enthusiasm from the mummies :) would be good that they can let one talk finish first before another chimes in. Just my opinion, but thank you for sharing 😉
omg thankful for this!! Could you guys do an episode on your experiences with First Trimester (or even extended) symptoms? I have friends who told me they were so scarred from them they don't want second babies anymore🥲
Truth is, husband plays a very important role during breastfeeding journey.. Since his nipples are useless, he can be useful in other ways.. 🤣 This part you need to educate him and ask him to do it.. Breastfeed for 2 years, latch on demand and pump too.. my husband would store the milk after i pumped, wash all my pump parts, sanitized, and placed it back beside the bed for me while I quickly sleep for the next 2-3 hours.. if baby woke up while i was sleeping, he would help to bottle feed her.. a lot of times i woke up just to pump coz he had already bottle fed her.. and yes I wake him up to go wash my pump parts, don’t have to feel bad or superwoman to do everything 🤭 it gets better as baby grows, can drag the feeding longer coz baby slept through the night, so i’ll just dreamfeed her, hence the pumping will only happen 1x in the morning and 2x at work and 1x before bedtime.. so mummies, may you all have kind and supportive husbands not just one who said he was so touched and cried when you gave birth, it is the after birth that matters for the sake of our mental health.. ❤
Agree! My husband does the same. It really helps when you have a husband that does rlly help you out. Makes a world difference..not just words, but actions.
Wanted to chime in to say that breastfeeding itself does not cause tooth decay. Breastmilk has hormones that actually prevent tooth decay. Food leftover on teeth can react with breastmilk to cause decay. The best defence against tooth decay is good oral hygiene.Tooth decay is also something someone can be genetically predisposed to (hence why only 1 of her 3 breastfed kids got it?). Breastfeeding alone is not the cause of tooth decay, it is more of a general lifestyle + genetic influence.
Very nice episode. Actually the husbands should be helping 🤔 example take the pump milk do the feeding and take the baby away let the mother sleep more . 🤷♂️
Tooth decay bcos of bfding on demand is real.. Paed dentists are sharing about the impact and severity of decay. Advice is to always clean baby's mouth cavity, gums, tongue at least twice a day. Constantly overlooked but so important And... FED IS BEST!!
Actually when you exclusively breastfeed, you don't have to pump, you won't have a oversupply. Babies will regulate the milk supply. No issues of clogs, mastitis etc. As long as you allow baby to latch on demand. Most issues comes with going back to work after maternity leave. That's when pumping happens, or lack there of due to work demands. Should have a IBCLC onboard this episode so that they can come in with better guidance.
Wow I didnt know bf can cause tooth drcay. Good to know. I bf exclusively for 6 months 2 weeks but I only pump I couldnt latch. I wish I latched instead because pumping and washing endless bottles is soo tiring. Benefit of pumping I guess in public places I dont have to worry about finding a hidden corner so I can BF. I wished I bf longer though

So breastfeeding for 2 years without getting mastitis is possible. I thought it means low supply if you never get.
