It don't dawn on some people that the smallest act for one can be life or attitude changing for someone else. I too get inspired and uplifted listening to and watching types of programs that people do ordinary things yet take them for granted. She making a simple smoothie (for a good cause). For me tho, it would be more than that. That single act of me doing the same may encourage me to break out of my shell and try expanding myself into real life scenarios: getting out the house (been 3 years), returning to workforce....(🙄), exercise (some type)...I guess I am trying to make myself restart living again. Wasn't much but I was blessed to see each day, although I likely didn't think along that line half as much, I knew it (just not focused on it as much cause mind was focused solely on 7 day (job, when I had it). I worked myself away, down to almost nothing. For what......I certainly didn't benefit (cept twice) right at 20 years. Body gave out an I seem to have given up in many ways, on dream, on my lack of doing. It's not being lazy exactly (ok so some days it is). I just wish I could jump start myself..3 years too long to b.....whatever I currently am...Best wishes to you 😀, you can do it.
This was very helpful since breakfast is so hard for me always. In the mornings I'm ALWAYS rushing and normally i go without or with something unhealthy. I never really liked smoothies that I've tried before but these look so delicious! thank you x

I gotta try these. Since curry is usually made with coconut milk, I think I'll try the turmeric one with coconut milk and maybe a piece of pineapple with the mango to go with the mixture too. 😊 And maybe add a couple of strawberries with the blueberry one too. 🍓

I always use frozen bananas for my smoothies, you get the cold effect of ice without watering the smoothie down. This also cuts that frothy effect, which I personally don't like. Basically when I notice my bananas are getting a little ripe and I have too many left to eat before they go bad, I just pop them in the freezer. Love your channel!

If you like your smoothies cold, you can also freeze your bananas and then you also don't have to worry about them going bad either. Just peel and put them in a bag in the freezer and reuse the bag. An afforable way to drinking smoothies everyday and in abundance are frozen fruits and vegetables. A big bad of mixed fruit goes for about $2-3. Will save you and reduce less waste, unless your market has unpackaged fresh produce. Then they are cold and ready for smoothies and you can use the bag for freezing bananas once you run out.
Thank you for these great smoothie tips!! When I go to a smoothie shop I say I want a "crunchy" then tell them that I don't like the ice completely blended in. I sometimes get strange looks from the employee but they make them just right. :)
I read in the newspaper a couple of weeks ago that superfoods don't exist. They aren't bad for you but they also aren't 'super'. That first smoothie with the strawberries does look tasty!
To me, "superfoods" means a food that has more nutrients per calorie than other foods. It's a nutrient-dense food that's an "effective" food to eat because you're getting more nutrients per calorie. Compare the nutritional value of KALE vs an OREO. I'm sure you could consider Kale more "super" in terms of how healthy it is for your body. Does that make sense?

yazmin I like my smoothies fresh because if you leave them overnight in the fridge, they oxidize (color turns brown) and the smoothies can get hard (not easy to drink). They're still edible but not as fresh/tasty
Would you say this powder has the same nutrients as using the actual fruit I always buy fruit and it always goes bad to before I use it so this would be super convenient also would these shakes be sufficient as a meal replacement? Actually for those who have a more delicate stomach and feel like they are prone to acidity or cramps after downing a smoothie, try 'eating your smoothie' as your saliva will help dilute and process the smoothie before it drops to your stomach (much more scientific than that, can't find the words :p). I personally like to either make smoothie bowls and really take my time with each mouthful or if I'm in a rush I'll just pour the smoothie over some cereal/granola and chew well. Hope this helps!

One more combo (sry, I dont have portion sizes): sweet potato, banana, apple, water, dates, brown rice protein (optional but recommended), flax seed, lemon juice (for preserving), goji berry, and cinnamon. This is the ingredient list of the noka superfood sweet potato/ goji smoothie.

Turmeric needs to be eaten with a pink of black pepper AND a fat source to be absorbed right into your bloodstream! That's how you get all the benefits. An easy way to do this is to add coconut milk to the smoothie :)

I always freeze my fruit as an alternative to the ice! Gets you the same ice cold feeling, but it's more of a fruity puree than crushed ice bits.

At my work we make a smoothie similar to the Purple smoothie. we use cinnamon, raw cacao and sunflower seeds, (along with hemp)

no need to add banana. Try adding another soft fruit instead. Mangoes, berries, papaya, pineapple, kiwi, avocado, etc.
