These non-NBA players aren’t even bothering to defend him and he still can’t hit anything other than uncontested shots at the rim (as any high schooler could do). Nobody out there takes him seriously. Opponents are treating him like the special needs/feel good player and he can’t even take advantage of it.

In the last several drafts, I've singled out guys for success purely based on their statistical profile (Halburton, Bane, Trey Murphy, Vassell, etc.). And it's mostly paid off. Even guys who initially struggled a bit like Aaron Nesmith are coming around. The difference between those guys and Sheppard is that they all have great positional size. But Sheppard has great athleticism and a strong frame to make up for it.

Size only means something if you suck to start! Cue Iverson or Isaiah Thomas or Spud or Muggsy... etc! They might be at a disadvantage because of height but they have the drive to be better than someone who is 6'10" because they need to be BETTER! Size means nothing if they have the ability and motivation to be the best! Sports media is full of ignorant followers instead of people who know how to see talent. Because they don't have the knowledge other than watching what they were taught instead of seeing what that player is actually capable of! Lastly Bronny is not an NBA player. PERIOD! He only made it here because of daddy and that is the truth. As soon a his father retires he will be playing overseas. Waste of a pick and it will show. Come back in 4 years to tell me I am 100% dead on!

Reed is gonna be a good player no matter what, BUT he isn't a top 3 talent in this draft. He's definitely probably a top 5 but not top 3. Let's not get ahead, the Steph Curry with a 40inch vert is a HUGE REACH. That being said I truly wish Reed the best in his NBA journey.

Yes, there really is such a portrait at the Thomas and Mack this year. And that's the ONLY portrait of any rookie on the walls.
