I started eating jasmine rice and then I learned that it still spikes your blood sugar. Now when I eat liver I use cauliflower rice instead. A lot of bodybuilders use rice in their diet but I had to look at it in a different way 💯💯💯🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Team "I gave up rice altogether" :) Having researched for years, when I finally went low-carb I knew I needed to attain certain protein and fat intake levels. 5'8" male in my fifties and completely satisfied on a daily average of 2,300 calories (23% Protein, 5% Carbs and 72% Fat). Wonderfully clear and concise video presentation.
Thanks for this video. Annually (in 3 weeks this year), I visit close friends in Asia and eating rice is nearly inevitable. I eat less but they are "rice pushers" and can't fathom eating a meal with no rice. They even will eat a little before going to bed. Always, team _white_ rice.
1. Chinese egg fried rice. 2. Biriyani. 3. Sushi. 4. Rice pudding. 5. All the above are now (mainly) fond memories since I reverted to being a natural carnivore.
As a Pinoy, it was difficult in the beginning to avoid rice. I had been eating rice for as long as I could remember. Now, it’s a lot easier for me since my bloodwork’s motivated me to change my diet. I used to love rice with Filipino adobo.
I used to make fried rice and Spanish rice with white rice. When we went low carb I found a recipe for cabbage or broccoli or cauliflower fried rice and used cabbage cut in little pieces for fried rice and fried it in olive oil with salt and pepper until half way cooked then pushed cabbage to the side of the pan then add a little more oil and add minced garlic and minced ginger and sauté 1 minute or until begins to brown then add more oil and add 2 scrambled eggs sauté until cooked and add ham cut up in pieces and sauté until warmed through and add soy sauce. . We eat meat and meat products now and use some spices.
White rice for me. Familia is from Ecuador.🇪🇨 we ate white rice every night (family of 8) but we always poured extra virgin olive oil over the rice b/4 eating it. No one had weight issues until the fat free foods came on the market with sweet n low and the like and life was over then only we didn’t know it. I’ve been a huge veggie lover since the mid eighties and occasionally have rice but when I do I have white rice 🍚. Great podcasts doctor. Thank you so much!
I love jasmine or basmati, and white rice. I eat it as a treat occasionally because of the high carb and sugar content. I wish I could it it more often because it fills me. My mothers Sunday oven roast beef with her beef gravy/w white rice was the best !!!!!
I don't crave rice at all. I would always feel hungry eating rice. I would much rather even back to my days before carnivore a nice potato. Give me the meat, a nice juicy steak and then I'm a happy girl. 😊 Lovely video Dr Tony.❤
I’m trying to add Natto to my diet as one of my increase in fermented food. Also, I like sashimi. But I appreciate this video a lot! I’m getting more tolerant of Natto and know I can cut the rice out by mixing it with kimchee and non/starchy vegetables - including cauliflower rice!
I'm team trying to give up rice. Long story, I switched to brown rice when I was a young adult. When I was diagnosed with UC, the PA told me to switch to white rice so I did. When I decided to go keto, I stopped eating rice. Out of sight out of mind for me otherwise I tend to want it.😢 My favorite rice dish, I'd have to say it is chicken fried rice.
White Rice when I Do but I don't even think about it. Sushi would be that time I would have a little bit when I do eat sushi, I tend to just order the fish.
Gave rice up 90%. I was raised eating white rice almost daily. I love it. When I gave it up I realized I wasn't getting constipated anymore. I eat it now less than once a month
No Rice for me anymore. It is amazing how some piece of knowledge can turn your world upside down. For the better I say. I used to live off a bunch of brown rice most days. Yuk. Carnivore now.
I'm team carnivore but if I had to choose I would choose white rice, for most of the reasons you mentioned. I digest white rice more easily than brown rice as well.
I’m team No Rice but what’s cute is 10 mos in on carnivore, sweets no longer tempt me. But a huge plain bowl of white rice sounds divine! However not gonna do it. 🍚 🚫☺️🥩
What about organic Black Rice? I've been eating that and will not touch white or brown rice since I've been eating Black rice, if I go on a carnivore diet do I discontinue Black rice?
I ate rice when my husband cooked because I was so sick and starving. I was hoping it would stop the diareah for the day. I don't remember it helping. Carnivore 8 months now.😊
As MUCH as I used to LOVE Teriyaki bowls with white rice or breakfasts when in Hawaii with ham and sticky white rice.... 👍 I'm TEAM Chaffee, Plants are Trying to Kill You on ANY rice. It was hard enough saying goodbye to angel hair pasta! 😢
I don't eat rice, pasta, baked or sweet potatoes. Pasta actually makes me rather sick. A few years ago I had a big plate of black beans and rice Cuban style. It was very yummy.
Brown. I'm a scavenger carnivore now. Meaning I'm carnivore based but have some other stuff whenever it's there. I never much cared for rice. Functionally I definitely don't like white rice. Brown rice just tastes better and feels better to my system. The Cajun chef's jambalaya. If I were doing heavy labor or something I would enjoy more. Now I drive four hours most days. So I don't get enough exercise to metabolize the carbs. I do have a weakness for rice crispy treats. They're in with the gourmet coconut nut raisin oatmeal cookies and peanut butter cookies.

The fact that you are a Carnivore Dr and still make an attempt to reach EVERYONE!!! Makes me proud to call you my Doctor. See you in a couple weeks
Looking forward to our appointment
@@DrTonyHampton I’ll see you on gocarnivore livestream!
Was team brown, but gave it up along with all grains for many years! Don't miss them!
I don’t either
Gave it up, don't miss it.
Me neither
No rice for me pass the ribeye!.
YES
I started eating jasmine rice and then I learned that it still spikes your blood sugar. Now when I eat liver I use cauliflower rice instead. A lot of bodybuilders use rice in their diet but I had to look at it in a different way 💯💯💯🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
I don’t miss any rice by itself but as a Southerner I do miss red beans and rice. Sausage usually fills the void nicely, though.
Red beans and rice without sausage wouldn’t be the same

I can’t believed I’m not eating any kind of rice for more than 10 months now. Wow!!!
1. Chinese egg fried rice.
2. Biriyani.
3. Sushi.
4. Rice pudding.

Carnivore for life
@@DrTonyHampton 👍🏻
73 year old male here, I am team brown rice ... but now you have me thinking ???
Too cute uncle Ben. I always hear oh I eat rice but its brown. I definitely has acquired the taste for cauliflower rice
Largely meat based. It's been a minute since I've had rice... thanks for this presentation - I always thought brown rice to be so virtuous! 😊
Cauliflower Rice for me, except Christmas Day, when I cook Seafood Gumbo.
Can’t beat gumbo
We’ve even use cauliflower rice for that

Team white Rice, but after the Hiatal surgery, rice was a little slow going down, but is getting better & working on that ribeye as well!😊
Team white rice cooked in chicken broth. Only with black beans.
Nice

I’ve only had rice 3 or so times this year and I’ve never felt better!!!
Well done
Gave it up. Do not miss it at all.

So yes - I prefer white rice - and confess I also like buckwheat. I think I’ll also try Natto with firm soy. I’d like a video on soy too.
Risotto used to be my go too, now I prefer just ruminants, not going to lie, but I have a occasional vegge when we go out to dinner
As long as you tolerate them

Both were very enjoyable on a Friday evening
White Rice when I Do but I don't even think about it.
Sushi would be that time I would have a little bit when I do eat sushi, I tend to just order the fish.
Sushi is definitely worth the sacrifice 😉
Gave rice up 90%. I was raised eating white rice almost daily. I love it. When I gave it up I realized I wasn't getting constipated anymore. I eat it now less than once a month
Nice compromise
gave it up completely. Instead I use sauerkraut, cabbage, or brocolli as a base.
Nice alternatives

Rice is nice, health is better ❤️
I'm team carnivore but if I had to choose I would choose white rice, for most of the reasons you mentioned. I digest white rice more easily than brown rice as well.
Makes sense
Once a while I would go with a white rice😊
I’m team No Rice but what’s cute is 10 mos in on carnivore, sweets no longer tempt me. But a huge plain bowl of white rice sounds divine! However not gonna do it. 🍚 🚫☺️🥩

Amazing
What about organic Black Rice? I've been eating that and will not touch white or brown rice since I've been eating Black rice, if I go on a carnivore diet do I discontinue Black rice?
I am curious as to why Asian countries that have lower levels of heart disease and diabetes if they consume so much rice/carbs?
Gave up rice over a decade ago.
Not missing it I assume?
Team no rice for 7 months now!
100
Mine used to be white rice topped with chilie, hotdogs, onions, fritoes and cheese. Gave up for carnivore 5 years ago.
👍
I ate rice when my husband cooked because I was so sick and starving. I was hoping it would stop the diareah for the day. I don't remember it helping. Carnivore 8 months now.😊
Thanks for sharing!! Carnivorous life is amazing
I hope they enjoy their cauliflower as they accept the truth that it is NOT rice but simply "minced/chopped cauliflower".
Gave it up and I am latina so white rice with beans was my comfort food😢
Hopefully, you won’t be wiping away tears for long

As MUCH as I used to LOVE Teriyaki bowls with white rice or breakfasts when in Hawaii with ham and sticky white rice....

The unfortunate realities of being a true carnivore 😞
