Is the Swedish Lapphund your favourite dog breed? Finnish Lapphund detailed video: ruclips.net/video/s5L7_DW5bMk/видео.html Lapponian Herder detailed video: ruclips.net/video/DVR6T9mK9fU/видео.html Finnish Spitz detailed video: ruclips.net/video/KubY5w5YXFE/видео.html
I rescued a Swedish Lapphund from an Animal Shelter in Russia. He is on his way right now and I‘m so exited 😍 It was love at first sight and as soon as the Shelter-Workers told me about the breed I realized that I had picked the coolest dog in the whole shelter
A few months ago my partner and i adopted a little black dog with a white chest mark from a shelter in romania, and from the very first moment we were delighted with him, what a good boy he is and how intelligent he is, he even smells so much better than other dogs. We assumed he was a german spitz mix, but with his specific traits like bad eyes and friendly bark we felt like doing more research. And now, in part thanks to your video, we know pretty much for sure that he's a swedish lapphund, though probably not pure bred. Thank you for this informative & cute video!
Pretty sure our old dog is Swedish lapphund or mix off this breed. She came with the house when we moved in (family thing) and is a wonderful senior lady. She has all the characteristics given for this breed except age, we estimate Birdie to be around 15 years old. Our family got her from a rescue after a bad breeder was shutdown. With exposure to her new playmates her personality shines and she acts like a puppy for the first time.
Many people in Finland think they have Finnish lapphund but its actually Swedish lapphund. I think Swedish lapphund has more interesting personality, similar to Shiba Inu. Their body language and reactions are super fast and they take note of every non-conscious communication you make for them.
I have one I found her outside my sisters house in Rosarito baja Mexico I brought her to the USA with me she was just a baby her barking was very distinctive.she is a beautiful grown dog now she is a great gurd and companion dog.
The Swedish lapphund is such a vanishingly rare breed outside of Scandinavia that the only way you can know you have one in Mexico or America, is if you have a pedigree for it. Other than that, it's probably just a medium-sized black spitz that resembles a lapphund. It's not hard for a crossbreed to look exactly like this breed.
@@Aethuviel Yes exactly, if anybody wants to find out what dog breed they have, the easiest way to do that is a DNA test (like embark). Of course, it's not always completely reliable, but definitely more accurate than just comparing your dog to breeds based on appearance.
Too many people in the USA think they have a Swedish Lapphund. It's flawed logic that because it's a black spitz type dog it must be a SL. There are 25 registered purebred SL in North America and only 2 breeders. There's a higher chance of winning the lottery than finding one or a mix of one in a random shelter in the USA, Canada or Mexico. The international community as a whole also keeps a good eye on individuals.
I am Japanese. This dog met in the mountains of "Hokkaido" in Japan. I lived with a dog of this breed. I recently searched Google Lens for the roots of this dog. I thought her variety was a mix, but "Swedish rap hand" is a rare variety in Japan, and my family was surprised. It's still a mystery to meet her unfamiliar in Japan, but she lived happily without getting sick😄

I’m adopting one also us black tounge. They said it was chow chow but it’s not fat like one. Looks exactly like the video.
