This was how machine head introduced themselves to the world. It was a breath of fresh air at the time. A sludgy groove ridden take on bay area thrash.
This entire album is pure gold. And the original lineup has just reformed for a tour in which they're going to perform the full album in It's entirety.
I have never lost a child so I won't pretend to know what you guys are going through. All I can do is express my deepest condolences and the fact that he knows how much you still love him. I feel like he is smiling down upon you and you will be reunited one day in a place with no pain or suffering!God bless you and keep you away from any more pain
I listen to you and your comments and enjoyed your reaction to one of my favourite bands ever.. Then I heard you talk about your son, and I'm so sorry for your loss, I had my son, who is 4 next week when I was 46 and my daughters are 13 and 20 the eldest being a fully blown metal head. But family is everything and that's why we had another later in life.. But the metal community is is a family too and I had to reach out and pass my best wishes on to you folks.. So now you really have to listen to the darkness within by machine head.. The lyrics are just brilliant and beautiful from robb. And without a spoiler. There is a line 'my sons I love you evermore'.. I hope you get to read this post among all the others and I hope you take me up on my recommendation for.a reaction. Take care folks, catch you soon..
Davidian was my introduction to Machine Head on MTV back when MTV stood for Music television loved Machine Head since the one you first heard #Aestheticsofhate bythway its a hit on a journalist slamming Dimebag Darrel after his death
Guys it's nothing short of awesome that you have done this channel for your son. Sorry for your loss. Hope you enjoy more machine head soon. Huge MH fan and new subscriber from Ireland.
Hey guys I’ve been with you since the beginning I love you guys! You guys should listen to the Machine Head version of hallowed be thy name it’s a great rendition in my opinion. Keep rocking 🤘
Jareds guitar is the same style Rob Flynn from machine head favors and has played from the beginning, theirs a little extra to add to Jareds memory RIP
I'm so happy you guys have finally heard this! It let's us know that you read the comments and take the chance! Thank you! Two more absolutely awesome songs by them are "death church" and "ten ton hammer"! In my humble opinion their first two albums are the best with their first album, the one you just heard a song from, is the best! Thanks again guys!
I watched this video while trying to fall asleep in bed..... Big mistake.... Love me some Machine Head and glad you guys had a great reaction to it! Now I'll just stay up all night....
I think Eyemaster, Demon, or possibly Hollowman (Due it's more catchy nature) would be better songs from Wolverine Blues. Also possibly Evilyn from Clandestine. Definitely some Entombed though.
all the original members from this album are back together to tour the anniversary of it!! you should check out the documentary on youtube its pretty cool.
"We take your comments very seriously!". That reminded me of Jen Majura, youtuber and one of Evanescence's guitarists, who was so tired of all the "Come to Brazil!" comments on her videos that she decided to go to Brazil. On vacations! And she made a video about it. XD
Hey guys, love your channel (the only reaction channel i subscriped)! Love your love for the music and that you listen to the whole songs without interruption. Your a beautiful couple, had a lot of fun the last two days discover your vids! Heard a lot of songs again for years with u guys the last two days, really a journey back in time, it was great. Thank you for that. :) Machine Head evolved over the years and my favorite song is: #machinehead sail into the black (i´m from Berlin/Germany) Please, please with cheese on top do a reaction to that song, you wont be dissapointed, i swear! As i discoverd the song i heard it for weeks, so much atmosphere and an explosion at the end, u will love it! All the best&love from Berlin.
Ok now your talkin. Check out A Call to Arms it never gets requested but it is a fantastic song it shows their versatility more. Also would suggest Beautiful Morning, I Am Hell, and their version of Message in a bottle. They also have a song called Desire to Fire it has rapping vocals thrown into it. Sorry for the long winded comment but I love these guys. I am 59 and have seen and heard alot in my days, this band is face melting brutality at its finest. Peace!
#Iced Earth song: Iron Will. Albuquerque NM USA. I had been back from Iraq for awhile and I was in a bad place, this song, and friends and family convinced me to seek help from the VA. I was introduced to Iced Earth during my first tour in Iraq.
I do agree Rich, it's a great metal song, MH's best by far to me, and, as a young man in the 90's, one of the greatest metal hymns of my generation! If you both like Testament, I have a "strange" recommandation if you're not afraid in doing a metal ballad : check out "Trail of Tears" from their album Low, released in 1993, it's a great great song with fantastic solos from James Murphy, and it's really not deserving enough praise, simply because it's from the 90's, saddly. And to me it's their best album. Oh man did I just write that!
Machine Head/Rob Flynn are one of the Best Live Bands ever!Unbelievable Moshpits (survived several) !....when they released BURN MY EYES 1994 with their first Single DAVIDIAN it blowed my mind !....the WACO MASSACRE was still actual in the Media.......you have to react to their LIVE Videos !
I saw them live in 2015 - the LOUDEST gig I have ever been to and I have been to death metal gigs up front against the stage next to the speaker rig, metal festivals and such yet (as my friend who went there with me warned me) they are VERY loud live, they were indeed!! I did not just have ringing, it was so bad that it sounded like water washing around in my ears...I have a band and play drums or bass and have jammed in a tiny room without hearos plugs in my ears and STILL that gig was louder!
The song Davidian of their debut album Burn My Eyes, features the lyrics "Let freedom ring / with a shotgun blast". Subsequently the video was banned from MTV (only in the U.S.A. region, the other MTV'S & other music channels in the world had great popularity the video) due to its release date being very soon after the Waco Siege which it was apparently describing. Robb Flynn has since said that the song was not written about the Waco Siege but added that line to get people thinking.
Now play *Now We Die* - *Old* - *Only The Names* - and if you want to hear the MOST UPLIFTING Metal lyrics of ANY metal song EVER, listen to *Kick You When Your'e Down* (These lyrics.......) ---> *It's a long road and it's mental endurance stress test, sometimes you fight and you win, sometimes you fight and you lose It's the fighter in you not to lose. So keep you head high cause they will always kick you when you're down. You have to trust in yourself, You must believe in yourself, You have to follow your heart, You overcome, improve, endure*
Saw them live before i really knew who the were. Went to see Megadeth and heaven and hell. But they opened with this, and aesthetics of hate stood out. But it was an awesome show.
Another awsome video guys! 😎🤘 Have you guys done any Fear Factory yet? Such an awsome group #painintheask check out Resurrection and then listen to Enhanced Reality. Such a versatile group. Keep rocking guys!
I have the Burn My Eyes banner hanging in my room. One of my top 3 favorite bands. Not even the best song on this album. I listen to this album from first track to last track thousands of times. Have all MH albums just like Pantera. Do Blood for Blood. You will like it more than Davidian. Or any other song on this album. Rock on.

"Pantera, eat your heart out!" Thems fightin' words son!
This entire album is pure gold. And the original lineup has just reformed for a tour in which they're going to perform the full album in It's entirety.
Machine Head has been one of my all time favorite bands for 25 years. It makes me happy to see people give them a shot.
I have never lost a child so I won't pretend to know what you guys are going through. All I can do is express my deepest condolences and the fact that he knows how much you still love him. Do Machine Head- "Halo" (NOT the official video, cause is an incomplete version), and do Imperium, Aestetics of Hate, Locust, Now we die, Volatile
Love the list but let's be honest, probably should be the cover of message in a bottle. And Halo, amazing song. Favorite from the album.
Im so sorry for such a loss, it brought tears to my eyes. definitely subscribing, supporting, rockin on. You do good videos.
I listen to you and your comments and enjoyed your reaction to one of my favourite bands ever..

Machine Head- Halo (Album Version)
Guys it's nothing short of awesome that you have done this channel for your son. Sorry for your loss. Hope you enjoy more machine head soon. Huge MH fan and new subscriber from Ireland.
Machine Head - The Rage To Overcome or A Nation On Fire 🔥
I swear that "A Nation On Fire" has one of the most brutal endings of all time.
Use to listen to this album a ton back in the 90s, great album. Y’all need more BTBAM in your lives... Swim to the Moon please.
RIP Jared
Ohhh Alaska what an album
Hey guys I’ve been with you since the beginning I love you guys! You guys should listen to the Machine Head version of hallowed be thy name it’s a great rendition in my opinion. Keep rocking 🤘
Iced Earths version is the best. Beats the original even.
Machine head was vio-lance before in the ups
Check out world in a world by vio-lence
#Machine Head Now I lay thee down One of the songs that made me fell in love with them
Saw these guys at my first concert. They opened for Slayer.
Jareds guitar is the same style Rob Flynn from machine head favors and has played from the beginning, theirs a little extra to add to Jareds memory RIP
I would love to see you guys react to clutch electric worry. I'm so sorry to hear about your son a parent should never have to bury a child.
I love MachineHead! I have been listening to them since this album was released back in 1994.
May your son RIP.
You need to hear their songs Ten Ton Hammer and Death Church! And anything off of this CD! There is not a bad song on this CD! Run with it!
I watched this video while trying to fall asleep in bed..... Big mistake.... Love me some Machine Head and glad you guys had a great reaction to it! Now I'll just stay up all night....
So full on, but see them live, and it is such a great night, a proper party atmosphere if that makes sense. Robs drunken encore mashups are a joy
We are called headcases
Davidian is a classic, I remember when it came.. because I came at the same time!
One of the first band using drop tuning, first time hearing MM was a blast. ❤️
I love Machine Head!💚
Got my tickets for the 25th anniversary tour, cannot wait.
Great song! Love that album.
Edge of Sanity - Twilight
In Flames - December Flower
Entombed - Wolverine Blues
Some gold from Sweden! 🤘
I think Eyemaster, Demon, or possibly Hollowman (Due it's more catchy nature) would be better songs from Wolverine Blues. Also possibly Evilyn from Clandestine. Definitely some Entombed though.
How about Dreaming In Red, Override Of The Overture, Dismembered, or In Death's Sleep by Dismember?
Can't go wrong with some Swedish stuff from 90s.
Entombed -Contempt
very sorry for your loss

"We take your comments very seriously!". That reminded me of Jen Majura, youtuber and one of Evanescence's guitarists, who was so tired of all the "Come to Brazil!" comments on her videos that she decided to go to Brazil. On vacations! And she made a video about it. XD

her reaction was I couldn't tell lol
Awesome request!! \,,/
Lol the middling reactions throughout are hilarious. They should change the name of their channel to Boomers React
Hey guys, love your channel (the only reaction channel i subscriped)! Love your love for the music and that you listen to the whole songs without interruption. Your a beautiful couple, had a lot of fun the last two days discover your vids!

Gotta love the break down
Havok - From the cradle to the grave
These guys are keeping thrash metal alive
holy shit! how can people be that emotionless??? even if you have to throw up - do it baby, free yourself as long as you show any emotion :-)
I think a lot of people (even fans) miss the connection between "Davidian" and the Waco, TX standoff with the "Branch Davidians."
Ok now your talkin. Check out A Call to Arms it never gets requested but it is a fantastic song it shows their versatility more. This Band I Think were one of the bands that Started the New School of Thrash Metal From the first Album in 1994 - First Song
#Iced Earth song: Iron Will. Albuquerque NM USA. I had been back from Iraq for awhile and I was in a bad place, this song, and friends and family convinced me to seek help from the VA. I was introduced to Iced Earth during my first tour in Iraq.
The other Machine Head song you reacted to was Aesthetics of Hate and you didn't dislike it at all.
Questo album è una goduria pazzesca! M.H.🤘☠️

Machine Head - Ten Ton Hammer
Machine Head - Clenching the Fists of Dissent!!!
Great song, especially if you know the backstory... it's all about David Koresh and his religious cult "Davidians" in Waco, TX, 1993.
The song Davidian of their debut album Burn My Eyes, features the lyrics "Let freedom ring / with a shotgun blast".
