Hey I'd just like to say I really like your work! I to am an woodworker and have been getting into power carving thanks to you. How do you come up with your axe handle designs?
Cornelius Creations I’m a newbie leather worker so pardon my ignorance: what is the tool called that you used at 4:53 to add the design onto the center of the axe cover?
I love you tutorials I just got into wood burner and now carving as a hobby.. and come to love it ..your a great teacher for a novice. ..On one tutorial you showed how to draw a Celtic knot ..I took that and found out I can also draw .. so I'm building other design off the one I learnt from you thank you. At 50 never thought I'd would be learning shop again but here we are .. and I'm enjoying it
not only showing a craftmanship to look up to and a stunning axe but your editing skills have reached another level aswell !! Thank you Matt, for your patient lessons & tutorials that actually can teach you . I know my lounge table and beginners carving abilities are due to your lessons , you rock as a teacher ;-)
I'll start off by saying she was made with love. Excellent job brother. This piece was made from the heart. ANY VIKING WOULD BE PROUD TO CARRY THIS AXE!!!
Matt, Thank you for providing videos for the beginner in all of us. It doesn't matter how proficient you are, you can still learn everyday and you give us the opportunity to grow our knowledge. Why do you like the Foredom SR over the Foredom TX? Have a great day and keep the videos coming.
Thank you, Marshall! I prefer the SR over the TX all day. The TX doesn’t produce enough RPM’s to efficiently woodcarve. The TX is more for industrial type work.
Wow that is awesome dude! Nicely done, the wood burning really made it pop! Maybe for the next project you could do a Viking Shield to go with the axe.
Your videos are amazing & have really helped me get started with ease. Thank you! Do you ever do figurines? I’d like to learn how to make altar style deities. Keep up the great work!
I don't see where you made or purchased the head. I can pretty much do the handle and leather work. I need to know about the head. Btw great job of wood and leather working. I am just getting started myself. Thanks for the video. I found a similar axe on Amazon but I really like the one you used.
Hey whats up. My name is Nick from rhode Island. Is there any way possible to purchase a engraved ax from you? Let me know. Thanks alot. Love your work.
Fucking amazing work! The music, the editing, the truly incredible craftsmanship! It fits so perfectly! It felt like time itself stopped because honestly, everything about it was beautiful! Also, as a swede, your channel has earned the Viking seal of approval.
Exceptional craftsmanship! That is Beautiful. With over 3k views one would tink there would be at least over 3k likes😔 sad. Huge thumbs up, thank you for sharing gave me some ideas for my H.B. forge bearded ax.
Love your work! Adding real rune words would be a cool detail! Im from north Sweden, was a while since I went to school. How ever "cornelius" in futhark(the most comon viking rune) would be writte like this: ᚴᚭᚱᚾᛁᛚᛁᚢᛋ Not all too sure about the second ᛁ. They did use it for e and i but cant remember if there is any gramar rule when they are grouping up. Maybe dont have to be names. How about ᛋᛏᚱᛁᚦ = strid ( battle/fight). Keep up the good work!
Amazing! Thank you!! Is there a resource website I can view this on as well? I am saving this comment! Thank you for taking the time to share this with me my friend!
@@CorneliusCreations tried to find anything in english. But didnt find anyone simple i trusted. So this one is in swedish. Scroll down and you will se the sign and what it translates to i our alphabet. "Ljud" means "sound". So that is how they are read. www.raa.se/kulturarv/runor-och-runstenar/runskolan/skriva-och-lasa-runor/ You can use it to write english words to. But its not all straight forward. Some got more then one letter, some is combined "th" and we got modern scandinavian letters like ö. And maybe some is missing. Vikings didnt have any gramar rules. They just picked the one sounding closes to the word they wrote. That is my tip. So "knight" would be " n, i, gh, th". No silent lettets, gh is comebined and th is closest to t sound. Viking language have evolved to several modern languages. And no one is the "original(maaaybe icelandic)", that adding to the lack of gramar ruels make it fairly easy to make it proper. As long as you feel its correct. And pick the one sounding closest. No rule can say "you are wrong" :D Good luck!
I've recently bought a couple tomahawks to play around with. I realy like what your doing with them. I would love to see how you are getting the chipped/ battle worn effect on the heads. Great work and keep up the vids. You've inspired me to try some of this out myself. Thank you!
