Wearable Brain-Machine Interface Devices: How Do They Work?

While Neuralink in making headlines this very month (June 2023), testing implants of their Neuralink device, we still must acknowledge that opening the skull and implanting a device into the brain itself is quite an invasive proceedure. There are also external, wearable devices which allow access to the working of the brain, with the ability to both "read" and "write" to the brain itself.

From a medical standpoint i think this is a good thing. But this kind of technology is is going to be controlled by governments and that is where i have concerns.
