    My dad worked pipeline for 30 years. Saved 75% of everything he made. Retired at 55 and was set. I can remember him calling his account and there being 4-5 million no matter what. He has a normal house and a 88' Chevy. Wears Dickie pants and white Reebok shoes. Looks like a normal dad. Never understood it till I got older. Now my dad's 68 years old and still well off. Takes the family on vacation every Christmas. I took after him and pipeline too. I'm about to pass a Million in the bank. But I don't live a crazy life style. He taught me a great lesson. Thanks dad 🙏🏼.

That episode really opened my eyes on Ocho.     He is humble about his thriftiness but let me say this, this man is one of the most generous men to ever grace our city! I have countless people that have expressed how Ocho helped them with cash when in need like tips etc. We here in Cincinnati love ocho; great man good guy!

    I respect it. When I got my first full time job after college I was putting away $1,000 a month by paying attention to my spending. One part of my saving strategy was to go to the supermarket every Sunday after church and get a lb of cold cut meat, 1/2 lb of sliced cheese and a loaf of bread and that was my lunch for the week. My friends used to laugh, but I save $24,000 in 2yrs.

      Rob Gronkowski, for one, said he hasn’t spent his NFL money at all. He’s lived off of his endorsement money alone. His statements got picked up in the media as a major example that it could be done and as a feather in Rob’s cap for his wisdom with his finances. Let’s hope this gets picked up for Chad, as well.

    For everybody who thinks this man is lying. He isn’t!!!! I played at the U and Chad would work out with us in the off season because our program was the best for any football player. He would always teach us to wear fake jewelry and not spend money. He had some of the prettiest, biggest, and fakest cubic zirconia earrings I ever seen and I wanted some bad. Your career and your name will always speak for you and not the material things we consume. Athletes, rappers, and entertainers alike have everybody fooled buying expensive materialistic items that depreciate. When people believe that is real, there is no need to have to prove that it’s not. It’s not fake it, till you make it. When you make it, continue to fake it. It’s probably what helped you get there in the first place. Miss Chad for real. Blessings to you brother!!!!

      @russellsymes9226 I believe Chad did not mean it literally when he said this . He was talking about watches and jewelry then Chad asked Shannon for the time then Chad proceeded to say time is free. He probably meant knowing what time in the day is free so no need to buy a Rolex.
      Chad obviously used his time wisely as he is financially free from what I know from his interviews.
      You can theoretically extend your time on earth by exercising and good nutrition. As we know we can end it prematurely hopefully no one does this but also accidents occurr.

    The one quote I’ll never forget that he said in the past is “Money looks a lot better coming in than it does going out.” I think about that any time I may try and get loose on spending when I shouldn't and then I don’t go reckless because I remember that. It’s always been true.

Even if you lose it, at least its better that you tried to get rich than just spending on something that will bring nothing in return. 10k on a car to get from point A to B with some extra money for emergency is better than 30k on a car, living paycheck by paycheck.
