I agree, the first time I saw that scene I realized that Kratos feels much more than he says, obviously he isn't an expressive person but he's very smooth when he expresses his deepest emotions

I like that it was consistent that he was stopping Atreus from mauling Freya for Atreus’ sake and not for her own. In the novelization of the first Norse game, the entire reason he killed Baldur wasn’t because he wanted to protect Freya but to spare Atreus having to grieve another woman that he’d gotten attached to. So both times he saved Freya were purely for Atreus’ sake.
I think that was a major part of it but also because kratos did not want to see the woman who healed his child have a needless death when Baldur would’ve been dead after her too plus thanks to the new DLC it did show that kratos had romantic feelings for freya so that may have also played a small part of it? Idk that’s just my opinion though.

@j.c1789 They mentioned that both Kratos and Freya care about eachother deeply and that it wasn't just Kratos fighting his inner demons about the past, but to see if he's ready to become not just another genereal for Freya but to become "HER" general specifically.
I can see it but I don't think romance would be good for them, the mutual respect and shit, yeah that's plain to see.
Brok was such a treasure. I loved him joining us, and our bonding and strengthening friendship. Only for it to be ripped from us like an adult tooth that had no issues.
He’s also kinda busted the few times you have him as a companion.

I love how she has to stop and realize exactly what shes really doing in that moment when atreus attacks and kratos works to stop him instead of letting it happen then telling him that she was their friend. I love it because you see the realization on her face when she sees that kratos still sees her as a friend despite her open attack, her threats, and her continued hostility. It just kinda shows shes taking in more of whats going on around her rather than just thinking with her anger and that reminder that kratos, who has a reputation for his anger was still caring to her for the kindness she gave them before is just such a hard thing to deal with, really well done scene
she has that look going back and forward with regret and rage...she wants to go back but she still despised Kratos for taking her son away
Kratos could’ve just did her crazy, but he didn’t want to kill a Valkyrie. Then when he realized it was Freya, that was even worse. I’m honestly glad they worked it out.
Not only that, but she also saw how good a father Kratos was to his son. Even as out of control as Atreus was in that bear form, Kratos managed to calm him. That probably hit Freya hard, given that her son was like that and she did little to control him.
Call the axe only necessary for block freya sword, fit into cutscenes. nice job
This is such a powerful scene, despite Freya's threats and attacks, Kratos still sees her as a friend, and in that moment she was questioning her choices. Kratos only killed her son to save her, she didn't see it that way
She eventually did see it and later said to the Norns that Kratos did not kill Baldur out of hate.
Not gonna lie, young kratos looks way scarier when atreus bmped into him.

I don’t think she’d kill atreus, Kratos killed her son not Atreus and I doubt she be stupid enough to put the guy who squad wiped one of the most powerful Pantheons by himself, in the same position as herself. An eye for eye, leaves the whole world blind or in this case leaves the Nine realms as nothing more than rivers of blood.

If another update comes, they should make a playable version of Kratos before he received the permanent ashes to his skin.

I'm pretty sure there's an enchantment for your Yggdrasil amulet that increases your movement speed and distance traveled while evading.

It’s unlockable, but it’s just for gameplay. Kratos doesn’t actually have it in the story.

Use Rond of Disruption for the shield and if you have higher luck in your build it will happen frequently
