I've been running coco and salts for last 5 years, since LED basically. I started really shaking things up, over the last year or two. I had the basics down but the last 10-20% that makes weed exceptional was eluding me. I tried the crop steering, but high EC is NOT where it's at. The other aspects are great. Maybe it's because of the organic acids and other chelating agents and biostimulants I run. I don't have a big space but I do often run 20+ strains all feeding from the same trough and I've found very few outliers as far as feeding goes, I might have to take some down a bit early, but their not super fussy about nutrients and if you are feeding multiple times a day it's even less critical Two things I've found that will detract from quality: high EC and Nitrates. I think Nitrates are responsible for the difference in top level organic outshining top level salt grown. I had to take down my room and start hunting for a new spot, but I'm going to run CalMino from BioAg in place of my CalNit, it looks to be a 1:1 swap. My first experiments was the first time in almost 20 yrs of growing where I was honestly satisfied with my results, you know? Like, I'm always thinking about what little change I'll make what I could have done different, but these times I was just like "that", I just want to do that again, it wasn't perfect by any stretch, but I know what to do about those things, but I feel like I really nailed the part that had eluded me so long. If the timing had worked out better I'd have liked to taken some of it to Vegas for Dark Horse's cannabis cup even if there's no way I can puff tough in a big crowd like that. Hell, I still don't trust that I won't get busted for a roach that fell under my seat there. I lost a ten strip of paper in my truck and never took it across the border to Canada ever again. I did everything but disassemble it, I could never find it, but I swear it was in there somewhere
I went to the dead shows just to get that bag of dank! Cash or dank for your extra, veggie burritos in the lot. Some cold nasty wicked ale and a balloon.
