There is a lever under the steering column that adjusts the wheel up and down and also in and out (closer to you or to the dash) thats how you use the wheel with the quick release
also you can take that hub adapter back off and line up the holes to match your wheel so it sits upright. nrg hubs are designed to line up with a quick release instead of being used solo.
The wheel looks sick. I had a Momo with quick release in my old car, it was a S13 so I wasn’t having to give up an air bag or cruise control. It’s a good anti theft device, who’s going to try to steal a car without a steering wheel?
Cars & Gaming they make quick release caps with kicks in them lol. I’ve got the whole setup and a hidden ignition switch in my car. Plus if I wanted to go the extra mile I could just unplug my neutral safety switch lol
Use a NRG short hub(which you have) and a NRG short quick release but you will need a 10mm spacer in between them. Just go get longer Allen bolts from the hardware store and you will have the shortest setup
My Suby came stock with a Nardi, all previous models up to 2010 I have had have all had momo’s, but don’t have the extended hub like yours, horn works, don’t have a steering air bag, but it’s a great wheel, love mine. It’s a nice touch with Suby sports models they are been doing Momo since the 90s, the Nardi was a real surprise, but you could spec them from factory with different upgrades from new atleast here anyway and Japan.
I have the same problem rn too i wonder what u ended up doing, me being shorter too didnt help either cus i had to basically push my chair forward to the max and literally the steering sits on my chest 😢
When I got new seats in my car I HAD to get a release steering wheel. The stock wheel with the airbag was entirely too intrusive to the seat itself and I would scrape my thighs on the wheel even climbing over it. I like the quick release hub and wheel though. I forget what brand I got... NRG Engineering I think?
Hey man, hope you weren't feeling buyer's regret -- that's definitely a sexy wheel! Based on what I saw in your video, the wheel doesn't actually seem too close to you, you just may not be used to having it that close. From a lot of measurement guides I've seen online, they actually suggest the distance being where you can rest your wrist over the top as you did without your shoulder lifting away from seat and without your elbow being locked out. Where did you end up landing on the wheel?
Thanks for the video. Leaning towards the 330mm as the offset is less (53mm) vs the 350MM (80mm) so 1" less further forward where the Nardi 330mm sits. If you did it all over again, would you opt for the 330mm wheel?
Bro I’ve been watching ur videos for a min. I also have an frs and ive been dying to put dat set up on my car but don’t have the money. Would u be down to selling it to me
I should have made a video of how i did it. It took me a good 10 min to figure it out. Im an electical engineering undergrad so it sas just a matter of following the circuit. But from all the vids ive seen, people (at least for the 86) have had issues trying to get the horn to work. They need better instructions.
I know this is a very long time after the upload but I want to say thank you this was very informative and helped me get my wheel on

So triggering that he doesn’t know haha! It literally makes the whole wheel so easily adjustable.

That is true!
Devin Niemela but what if they just do happen to have a quick release on them? Lmaoooo

Cars & Gaming locks* in them

i have a 2009 VW and i did a sparco wheel, and the best thing is to find a wheel with different offsets from the quick release bit
did you ever get the horn to work?
My car is automatic am I going to lose the paddle shift? 😢
You should bought a manual
Yeah you should have gotten a manual...if you still get this then...it physically won’t work...sorry mate!

#GANG, lol congrats on 14k Devin! I've been watching you since 4k.
Appreciate the support!
I wish the airbag resister wire setup you made was explained more…
Looked like you had 2 wires for each connection running into a fuse loop?
Devin your a G I have been watching you sence 8K sorry if I don’t comment much but your a good youtuber/person good work keep it up👍
Thank you man!
I have the same problem rn too i wonder what u ended up doing, me being shorter too didnt help either cus i had to basically push my chair forward to the max and literally the steering sits on my chest 😢
I think you need a spacer for your nardi wheel to be used with the nrg hub...

for drifting its good, you dont accidentally hit wipers when hands are trying to control the wheel
True!
DND makes a cruise relocation kit and that what I used to keep my cruise control
You can pull out the hub out and turn it and then the wheel will be aligned

There are spacer adapters to convert between different mounting patterns.
Do you mind linking the hub you used? The one I bought doesn’t fit the clock spring :(
The link in your description doesn’t exist anymore
you dont look like a devin you look like a chad
Bro perfect video, amazing quality ... as usual
good job
From Ukraine
Thank you!
we’re the screws for the hub the same size as the ones that go into the steering wheel?
Did the airbag light stay off at least? Dude I don't even have an FRS or Evo but I enjoy your stuff. Keep up the good work.
Yes, that is what the resistors are for. I appreciate that!
Bro I’ve been watching ur videos for a min. I also have an frs and ive been dying to put dat set up on my car but don’t have the money. Would u be down to selling it to me
How long was your drive from Canada/Kentucky to California?
Did you get the horn to work?
did you get it?
generally speaking, black wires are grounds in cars.
Very much the same 10:42
I believe they sell a shorter hub to fix that length issue
I'll have to look into that
Can Nardi steering wheel directly mount on hub? I m using Works bell hub

Please shoot me a DM on instagram, @dvniemela
hey can you help out lol
Can you help me bro what do I need to get for nardi steering wheel and a nrg short hub to work with the horn?
i know MOMO has fixed position hubs that dont need quick releases attachment
Ayye when Devin gets 1,000,000 subscribers I’ll actually be a day 1
