I’ve been a long time player of New Star games such as the mobile New Star Soccer and New Star Cricket games, genuinely interested to see NSGP develop
I loved the old New Star GP game, I've still got it and this just feels right. They always make very playable games.
@@HigherPlainGames agreed, it would be cool to see an in game database manager for those who wanna try recreate the time periods with accurate driver rosters… still gonna pick up the game regardless, genuinely looks fun

Only played the Xbox demo, but I agree-they’ve nailed the balance between arcade racing and motorsport management. Decisions are simple but meaningful-and most important, they add to the fun. Developing a rivalry meant I was looking for them on the grid and enjoying the pass that much more. Its not perfect, but it’s miles ahead a lot of AAA racers in terms of sheer fun
Great point- fun seems to get lost in many AAA games for realism. This is like a well worn shoe.

Similar to the idea of pretend names which are still recognizable, I love the discount tracks, both in name and in design
They always make me chuckle when they are close to the originals but not quite!
Is it possible to do splitscreen with joycon Motion-Control (using the controller to steer, not the stick)? Btw very good video!

Virtual Racer is a proper decent throwback. Very enjoyable.
too bad it's not licensed, especially regarding the tracks. is there a chance of a mod to fix that?
I doubt it. There is no modding scene for this game and mods were never on the early access roadmap. The game is still receiving new modes like hot lap leaderboards post launch, so I can't say never, but I'd be really surprised.
@@HigherPlainGames formula 1 should have cheap license for indie devs who definitely won't make millions from it, since they don't have a massive marketing budget.
