I absolutely adore you both! My family all live outside of Fort Worth. I grew up in Southern California but spent every summer with my cousins in Texas. You all remind me of my aunts and cousins so much. They speak their mind and call out the BS everywhere. I’m the only gay guy in a massive family. Even the Bible thumpers in my family love me unconditionally. Thank you for making me laugh and smile every week. I’ve had bone cancer twice and I’ve had a liver transplant. I don’t have the easiest life but I’ve learned so much through my trials and I find so much to laugh at in this psychotic world. I think everyone should watch you both and maybe they would learn how that just cause you live in a red state does not mean the whole state is awful. Anyways I know I’m rambling but I want you to know how much y’all mean to me. Kisses!!!❤

I’ve had it that others haven’t had it and they haven’t started listening to this podcast! Who needs a therapist when you have Jen and Pumps (Princess Diana and the star of the show lol). My life is now officially complete. I simply cannot live without this show. Love y’all so much! Thanks for making me laugh until cry, and for helping to give me a voice (I’m a people pleasing doormat). I have started telling people that I’ve completely had it, and I’m no longer holding back.
Heads up. Apple only changed to the USB-C because of the EU. They did NOT want to change from the lightening cord.

Amen! I’m so glad the “fad” seems to be passing. 😂😂😂 For a while there, when everyone thought gluten free meant “fat free”, I had to go on Boost because of the weight loss. People who didn’t need gluten free were hoarding it, thinking it was some kind of magic diet food 🙄

In Europe they enforced a rule that Apple should be USB-C because that's most plugs nowadays. Apple used to (and still has in some countries) a ''lightning'' plug and that only works for Apple products. It's indeed annoying as hell.
USB-C is so much faster than regular USB though, even if it's annoying that in some cases devices still use the old USB 3.0
You also don't have to turn type c a certain way to put it in correctly. A tiny little thing but it's one less little stress factor in your day so it's a plus.
Came here to say this! USB-C is actually an upgrade for iPhone users, and puts Apple chargers in line with most modern electronics. (You'll still find the odd micro or mini on cheap stuff.) But yeah, proprietary chargers should be illegal. USB-C everything!

I pulled into a gas station parking lot to make this comment. Ladies, the USB-C is not a proprietary apple invention. I hate Tim Cook and his dastardly company just as much as the next bitch, but this time he doesn't get the credit alone. It was created by a group of tech companies to update the universal standard to a faster more modern one. You are complaining about the very problem it is solving. Did you think the universal solution would be an old piece of tech? If you happen to have purchased a small device (headphones, Bluetooth speaker, etc.) recently that comes with a charging cable, the chances are that it has a USB-C to USB-C cord for fast charging. Welcome to the future, I know it can be scary.

The universal connector the EU is mandating is, actually, USB-C. That’s why Apple is migrating to USB-C. If you want fast charging and data transfer, it has to be USB-C
Hey ladies love the show. The apple usb c thing was a mandate by the European Union which they said it has to be USB C that's why Apple changed it on the latest iPhone but its also how you charge their ipads and macbooks so it's one cable to charge them all. In the long term this is a good thing for the environment. I wouldn't worry too much one day there won't be a port on your iPhone Apple will just use wireless charging or they will invent something that can charge the phone through the air.

A note on the hamster eating its babies: it's not uncommon in vulnerable prey animals that give birth in a stressful environment or who get stressed out while the babies are young. Moving locations, loud noises, handling the moms or babies, cleaning out the cage... All can trigger that response in stressed out prey animal moms. I learned about it when I had a hedgehog a few years (which I loved but I do not recommend for 99% of people because they are high maintenance, overly dramatic, and don't live that long) and became friends with some people who rescue unwanted hedgehogs and educate about proper hedgehog care and breeding practices. The eating-their-babies-when-stressed is definitely, as a human, one of the most disturbing things prey animals do.

Agreed about the USB and USB-C. I just flew to Mexico yesterday from NYC and my phone was on 50% and had to stop listening to music or anything else because I wanted to order an Uber when I landed. Imagine a 4-hour flight, with no tv on your seat (because now they have removed them and given you "free wifi" for you to watch it on your device).
Either change the USB nonsense or put back the TV. You already have them, so I don't understand the need to remove them.

The usb c is actually because apple is getting in trouble for other things like charging separately for chargers and made them switch over to usb c because that’s what every other company uses
Usb-C was introduced with android devices first. Apple was just catching up to the rest of current tech. 🤷🏼♀️

Watch me mansplain. The reason for the usb-c thing for apple is Europe. They made regulations to force companies to all use usb-c to charge devices. This to combat the 1000s of different cables you have to use. So both the start and the end of the “charge cord” should be usb-c for Europe starting 2025 or something. Since Europe is such a huge market for phones they have the power to demand this from companies. If they don’t comply they lose a wealthy market.
This is all in the name of the environment and consumer convenience of people in the EU.
