    The background music makes this video so calming to watch. Soothing music and welds. Good combo

    For lights I would cut out holes use standard trailer style bulbs with black rubber you can get leds but the regular are dirt cheap Napa always has them there just clean looking curios to metal list

    I want a custom toolbox flatbed maybe 12foot. A 2 foot backpack box to keep 4 dogs in open to the cab from the back window. Artic fox 990 camper behind that on the final 10 foot. Need a Ram 5500 to correctly haul this beast with a crew cab.

    Great video as always! I’m planning on building my own rig at the end of summer when work slows down. I like that you take the time to explain everything your doing as you do it. The only thing I’ve had a hard time with plain to build this bed it the tool box lids so if you can take a little more time to explain everything on them that would be awesome! Sweet video have my notifications on so I can see the next video as soon as it’s up!!

    I love the build. Watched all parts. But what I'm still stumped on before I start my bed, is the latches. You never showed installing any. I've seen rigs with hidden latches. Or wireless remote latches. Also questioning whether you add any weather stripping to the "dry" boxes?

    • @j_moffitt
      @j_moffitt  4 года назад

      They are fairly dry without weather stripping but I’m going to add it when it’s painted and yeah I still haven’t gotten any latches for it ya haha

    • @shawnleakseal10
      @shawnleakseal10 4 года назад

      I was also wondering on your dry boxes. Did you well them solid on the outside of the Box or the inside of the Box?

  • @Unknownkjn
    @Unknownkjn Год назад

    What size sheet are you using for the skirts and boxes? I'm starting a build as an electrician, my 5500 has tons of room so I wanna build something in this ballpark. Obviously catered more towards my trade, but similar. Thanks!

    Great vid but I have a question and your not the only person I’ve seen do it but why all the tacks instead of full beads

    • @j_moffitt
      @j_moffitt  2 года назад

      I tack everything first to get it fit properly and then go back and weld it, also if I were to weld every piece as I go the amount of warpage would be irreversible.

    • @j_moffitt

      I think I just stuffed a rag in it and taped a bottle over it, diesel is a bit more forgiving, be careful if you have a gas vehicle

      Projects more so. Like I'm doing airbags on mine too and you showed that I don't have to do the same old bag over axle. You have convinced me to definitely get a plasma cutter because I don't feel like using a cutting torch and grinder on everything. Keep up the awesome work
