- I quit my job to start farming. Here’s our story of establishing a Homestead and Small Scale Farm over the past several years. It has been quite the journey of ups and downs, but it has been well worth it #homestead #smallscalefarming #marketgarden #regenerativeagriculture #homesteading #farmstead #marketgardening #gardening #farmlife #regenerativefarming #organicfarm #homesteadlife #garden #farmstory #gardeninspiration

thanks for sharing some of your story. i've been watching some of your shorts... they're great! i often fantasize about leaving my 9-5 and "dedicating my life" to small-scale regernative farming. i live in western NC and we have about .50 acre to grow in. i started two years ago by planting many fruit trees. i feel like i need the income from my main job in order to support my loved ones -- and my wife and i are hoping to have a child soon, so that makes it even more scarier (financially speaking). i find so much joy and purpose when im in the yard with the plants and trees. i also make videos on my youtube channel and i want to use this platform to empower more people to grow their own food... just like you are doing! keep it up, man. I'll be watching!
love the story man! keep up the inspiring content!
Thank you I appreciate it!!
Love that you follow what you belive in keep going!
Thank you so much for the encouragement!
Touched my heart!!!
What an encouragement to never giving up and sticking to it! I love y'alls little farmstore and wish your family much success and continued blessings from our Father.
Thank you so much!
This is so wonderful. I'm so glad you didn't give it. Your such an inspiration
Thank you so much!
You're an inspiration to a lot of people, keep up the great good, I'm in Montrose Colorado
Thank you so much!! Your encouragement means a ton. I’ve driven through Montrose for some backpacking adventures!
I’m already about to cry and you just started 😩😩 love this
Thank you!!
I just did the exact same thing😂
You have given me a lot of ideas for my 6 1/2 acres. I was thinking in terms of fencing and water supply that I didn't before. Thank you so much, Tanner!
Not too far either here in Texarkana ❤
So great to hear! Sorry for my delayed response to your comment! Hope your vision comes to fruition!
thank you
So excited for you man! You're doing amazing stuff!!!
Thanks bro!
I enjoy your videos so much I started a small garden just to grow plants but this summer heat and not enough rain and the lack of getting motivated to get out everyday and work in it plus this so called dirt here in Alabama is crappy its not like the soil back home In Florida.
Thanks Terry I appreciate it! Just keep planting! This heat will soon pass
Thank you for sharing your story. We just moved back to a family farm to start our homestead in Colorado!
Thank you!! That’s awesome! I love Colorado
We are sure glad you moved back to Arkansas so we could get to know you.
Thanks John!! We feel the same about y’all!
hey, I love your videos, and keep up the good work I have a theory if you can test that out for me I would be happy. my theory is using electric water for your plants i want to see what kind of affects that would do can you please try it.
Killin it! Pumped for y'all!
Thanks bro!!!
Wonderful!
"Being connected to your food is so powerful" . . . because being connected to the earth and your food is being connected to God Almighty the Creator, Giver of Life. Best wishes, Tanner family!
Amen!!!
💜such encouragement💜
Thank you!
Amazing!
Thanks bro!
There's a reason that the Bible is littered with gardening and farming allegory; we were meant to be close to the earth, and tend to it. I'm setting up my first autumn market garden in my front yard, and nowadays, perfect strangers just show up and ask what's going on, asking me when I'll have food to sell. People want what you're growing, so keep it up. Maybe consider a fruit orchard on that land of yours, that'd be sweet.
Agreed 100%! We are actually installing some linear food forest swales this fall/spring on our property which I’m stoked about. Been planning out the design with Midwest Permaculture
@@tannerfarmstead that's pretty cool. Whatever you decide to do, post it here and I'll watch.
Stardew valley made me realize that
💯
It’s sad and shocking to see the reactions of some people towards other people who, even after diligence and patience and careful daily planning and care for years, eventually realize and decide that it’s time move on from farming and leaving the countryside to a different state or country, some even do go back to the city and are happier there. Factually, there is no shame for doing so, and there shouldn’t be! I’m so sick of these false Christian, religious, and atheist rural hypocrites who look for any excuse as to why someone simply decides farming doesn’t work for them. That’s okay if it doesn’t work for you! I personally hate anything rural and to do with farming or gardening, animal husbandry, etc. They don’t make me a better person and God doesn’t say I have to do them to lead a Godly life and help others. It all boils down to - your family do what ethically works best for your family. We don’t all like the same things or live in the same places, etc. A country person and a city person who are Godly, ethical, civil, courteous, even if they are both self sufficient and hard working, who try to live in peace with those around them are always welcome at my table, as they say. If people want to demean and falsely accuse or censor city or country people, we’ll that speaks volumes of how wrong that person is and they have serious problems that they need to work out with God. Bottom line - if you decide farming or gardening doesn’t work for you, then I say to those people that’s great and I still support those people!
So proud of you! 🤍
Thanks babe! Love you!
Wait a minute, you're in my state? How close to the beer can silo?
Not sure! We are in Greenbrier, AR
You're 2 hrs East.
How you leave Denver cuz you are broke and then get a house? I do not understand that math.
Left Denver and move into a townhome for year. Started a real estate business, saved money, bought a house and land. I run multiple business besides the farm
@@tannerfarmstead Good deal.
Can you please get for me that job you quit
You wouldn’t want it
