The slippery moments are always brilliant caught on tape lol. Happy hiking mate,.seems like a really wet muddy place to walk through still very beautiful.
@@freedom_on_the_trail I’m keen too but likely push the distance, I’ll catchup offline. On a funny note, yesterday I knock on a door and was just about to introduce myself when the lady says “I know you you’re outdoorsman Dave I follow you and I’m right up to date with your great barrier”. Anyway her man is an extreme hiker apparently so Im initiating a stranger danger 2, to burn off some of his energy, funny how things work out.
Slipped over because looking for round bales instead of watching where you walking 😂
😂😂😂

It was. Had been raining and misting for the better part of three days. That grass was like ice
@freedom_on_the_trail +right on the tail bone ouchys.
The earth likes to trip us up just to remind us who's really in control lol.
Happy trails ahead
Mangamuka is a popular wee hut, it’s always boggy in that section between the hut and N/S track - welcome to the Kaimai’s 😂
I’m looking forward to doing the North South track later this year. My trip with you and this one has definitely peaked my interest.

lol. You and stranger danger!!! Have a great time.
Even in summer, that section is muddy. Usual Kaimai stuff.
Yeah. The topo map has a dark patch there. Looks like we clipped the top end of a swamp?
Oh, you saw first hand how the track isn't 100% fun, with the mud and obstacles.
😂 wouldn’t be tramping in NZ if there wasn’t some mud somewhere
@@freedom_on_the_trail or mud everywhere.
