Exactly, I have a same opinion on this. I had hyundai from FPL they provided awesome service. It is not about brand , It is about the franchise that owns. Brila sir, can you make a video on franchise model and their connection between companies ?
MG Astor is one of the cutest cars in the segment
The design is so attractive and sleek. and it's also the smartest car in the segment.
As far as I read, MG was actually a garage owned by William Morris at Oxford, UK. Cecil Kimber joined William's garage at a later stage and started tinkering with the cars, thus paving way for the birth of Morris Garage in 1924. MG was later taken over by Nanjing automobiles (Chinese) in 2007. Further Nanjing automobiles was taken over by SAIC (Shanghai Automotive Industrial Corporation). SAIC is largest manufacturer of cars in China. So basically MG has the UK element only in its name, the body and soul is Chinese. Happy Motoring.
Absolutely spot on. Nothing British about the present day MGs made by SAIC. I 've driven the original MG cars in the UK prior to Nanjing's take over in 2007. A typical Brit car with its own share of issues. The engine and gear box gives their own troubles quite often.
Best in segment, but not popular because of Creta. Only downside is that service centers are not extensively setup
MG is not a French brand birlaji, it's a British brand owned by SAIC (Shanghai Auto China)

@birlas parvai Bro MG is an UK brand not a french, also it is the brand which was in the creation of Hindustan Motors Ambassdor, [Ambassdor was a replica of the model morris minor, morris oxford in the 1950's from the present world Morris garage, so MG is literally an Ambassdor brand, which many of us dont know. ;) ]

Previously I was owned polo it’s nice car and then I switch over to vento I’m not satisfied with vento anyway now I’m having honda city diesel performance wise polo is my first choice but unfortunately the wolds wagon stopped the hatch pack 😢
Astor is the most valuable car in the segment. Astor comes with an ADSA function and major safety features. Advanced car in the segment. Even their after-sales service is great.

It is true. I initially wanted to buy astor. The base model is the most VFM. But it’s just a marketing strategy and no vehicle was available in base model.The looks are a killer and had a great interiors on par with luxury cars. But after so many research, I found out about performance and mileage. So I dropped the plan and bought sonet diesel At. Hope MG upgrade its engine. Also, MG is not a french company. It’s U.K, now acquired by a Chinese company.
Please clarify few doubts about sonet diesel at
1) what mileage are you getting ?
2) what about interior fit & finish of sonet ?
3) what about back seat comfort ?
Is sonets leg room , knee room , shoulder room enough for 3 adults
4) how is the engine performance in both city & highways , any lag in gear shifts as it is automatic
@@selvamuthukumaran5016 In highway you will get around 20. In city, it will be around 12 to 16 depends on traffic conditions. Hyundai and kia interior fit and finish was always good. It’s better to go and see for yourself, since perception differs.

It's not about different brands. It's the franchise that owns the outlet. He seems to have bought from FPL. FPL is a good franchise even for Hyundai. So if you don't like a showroom, you should probably try a different franchise.

MG is not french brand. It was acquired by china's Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation. It is a full chinese owned brand. I personally wouldn't go for Chinese products unless until I don't have any other option. Since there are other similar cars from other brands in India. I would #BoycottChineseCars
Note: I know we can't boycott chinese products completely. But will do my best possible to #BoycottChineseProducts where ever possible.

All ok, but the Chinese pedigree outfoxes the British heritage :) Long term reliability of the brand is a question mark, and the design language is more of Chinese and doesn't contour well with Indian taste and that is one of the reasons MG plays a muted sales here compared to the competition. Ideally, they could have provided an aggressive front facia for Astor to compliment the vehicle of this size, but a toned-down front doesn't really appeal to most people. On a separate note, Hector looks quite bulky and doesn't possess the stylishness and character of the Harrier, though both share same Fiat outsourced engines. If someone looking for safety, comfort and features, there are other options in this price bracket, which they could consider. Drive safely and responsibly :)

Basically you are choosing between a sedan vs a mid size suv, now I assume you will also consider vw taigun, I would suggest you to go for Skoda than the vw, as Skoda service is better. The 1.0tsi three cylinder turbo is good and a proven tech reliability wise it depends on how maintain the three cylinder turbo
Avoid both Volkswagen and Skoda as both have poor service records … look at models like Toyota HYRYDER with Hybrid / Vitara / Nexon
