@@edu7979 Yeah, normal map or height map, but honestly these are things you barely see in a game, I expect to see them in realistic renders. This game amazes me every time for its quality
@@giovafncreative the visual quality is top notch in tlou2 i will not lie, gameplay is possibly one of the most enjoyable on the ps4 and ps5 as well. far better than 1 in almost everything (Yk whats pretty much the only exception)
Here's one for you. When Joel fully upgrades his revolver in Part I it looks exactly the same as his revolver looked in it's base, un-upgraded form in Part II.
@BlueDart28 it better be in that shit and we better be able to upgrade it even further it has so much character at this point that guns been through hell
you have no idea how much i needed that motion sickness accessibility. When i played the old version i had to stop after just every hour cause of how dizzy i was. Great that the developers acknowledge that
I could talk endlessly about the extent of accessibility settings. So many games neglect this aspect of making space for all players, but it’s so so important. Love it. All developers and their teams should take notes-this is how accessibility in gaming should be done! (P.S. Starlight ;D)
Another one I caught was water running down Joel’s hand if it gets wet. Noticed it while unlocking a safe in the hotel lobby. Also cool to see wounds on Joel and enemies that leak blood down their clothing/faces.
Since cutscenes in the remake are in-engine... It would have been crazy if Joel's watch also ran in real time during the intro, so once the shooting scene happens, it stops on an accurate time stamp and stays that way for the rest of the game. It makes the watch; as a constant reminder of Sarah's time of death, much more personal. (at least in a weird unnecessarily subliminal way)
Let me clear up all those replies. Joel pranked Sarah by telling her it was broken to see her reaction. Then the watch actually broke during the outbreak and Joel kept it ever since, with no intent on fixing it. Ellie pointed out the watch was still broken.
I’ve just started playing last night and the one detail I was amazed at was the rain in downtown! It looked so real! All the water effects were so satisfying! I love the realism and small details. So far I’m really impressed 👍🏻
For sure. The end of Fall might actually have been the hardest part for me to deal with emotionally. It’s made more poignant by how Sam acts in his final cutscene and conversation with Ellie. Even before I saw the bite, it was telegraphed in such a poignant way that he was most likely bitten. And the cut to black after what Henry does…wow. That was the second I knew the game was a masterpiece.
I honestly had completely forgotten most of the story since 2013 as I never played remaster so it was honestly close to playing it for the first time again. Naughty Dogs set a new standard for remakes. Fantastic game, well worth dropping 70$ imo.
The first time I played back in 2015 and had an enemy beg for his life, it shook me a little. It was just too realistic and I wasn’t expecting it from a game. I love this game so much.
Playing when the game was brand new - I shot an enemy that was throwing a Molotov at Joel... Blowing off the guys arm mid throw. The bottle drops on him and engulfed him in fire. I paused/sat down the controller and my buddy and I were like did that just happen!
On the first one, what if you wait like 10 hours in real time and then come back? Is it still dark outside? Does the game force you to go ahead after a certain point?
I have been obsessed with this game since it came out, and I had no idea about the twitter accounts! It's wild how far they will go for the immersion. I love it
Another great detail is on the bottom of the Molotov bottles. It has Naughty Dog’s paw print logo and the number 061413 which is the date the Last of Us was originally released on the PlayStation 3.
Gotta capitalize on the show. And milk more out of their fans. Tlou is one of if not my favorite game of all time. I will get this but not for 70$ these greedy bastards man.
It always sucked when Henry told Sam not to take that toy, I know Ellie got it for him anyways but damn was he adamant, I know it’s important cause it’ll take up room he could use for other stuff, but if they’ve been out that long without him needing to use his pack much then I don’t see why he told him that (other than it being plot device to get Ellie to give it to him later before he turns.) I know Henry is just trying to play it smart and stuff but it always sucked seeing Sam get so sad about having to leave it and sad by the tone Henry uses to tell him he can’t take it.
Yeah, it makes me wonder how many cool things Sam must have found along the way only to leave them behind because they weren’t absolutely essential. I love that Ellie waits for Joel to turn his back before she snags the toy; she wants to be sure that Sam can have it without the adults knowing.
this remake makes me feel that the original TLOU 1 never released. like part 2 released first then part 1 as a prequel. and make me feel that joel is still alive ....
They should do what rockstar did with gta sa, when they showed the prequel story to how their momz was killed n what was going on b4 cj came in town, joel&timmy prequel vide of the shhi they did that was regretted down the line

Regarding the whispering, this is already in the PS3/PS4 versions. But you left out a related part. If you kill the 2 Clickers in this area before you lift Ellie up over the gate, when you go through the gate Ellie will leave it open. But if you don't kill these 2 Clickers first then Ellie will close and lock the gate behind you (to keep the Clickers from following you), meaning you can't go back to that area. I made that mistake once when I didn't have enough shiv materials to open the shiv door there - I thought "Oh I can go through this gate, find more supplies, and then go back." Then I went through and Ellie locked the gate behind me.
