The last of us remake the last of us details - Игры
Planned on releasing this video last week but became ill just before I could get it finished. 🥲
Feeling a lot better now though, so I hope y'all still enjoy the vid, even if it is a bit late :)
P.S. I'm working on a part 2 featuring another 10 details so keep an eye out if you're interested! 👍
Get well soon dude
Be well.
Get well soon and oh yay!
Glad to see u back bro 💪
What song name did you use?
Here's one for you.
When Joel fully upgrades his revolver in Part I it looks exactly the same as his revolver looked in it's base, un-upgraded form in Part II.
ye
I really enjoyed that detail when i played tlou2 carrying a little bit of joel with her
Yeah, and when Ellie fully upgrade it in Part 2 is the Ultimate Revolver ahahahaha
@BlueDart28 it better be in that shit and we better be able to upgrade it even further it has so much character at this point that guns been through hell
@@user-bz7dj5du5g yeah true
The gun upgrade animations are so satisfying. I’m glad they added it to part 1
@@BaldingSasquatch GOOD
I know right, sometimes I care more about watching the cool animations than the actual stat bonuses for the weapons
0:40 What happen if you stay until dawn?
@@BaldingSasquatch kajigger??? 😂
@@BaldingSasquatch...bro?
One of the craziest details to me is how the blood pools and fills in the cracks on tile floors 15:23
Holy crap yeah, it does!
way i see it they just made it adapt to the normal map of the texture
@@edu7979 Yeah, normal map or height map, but honestly these are things you barely see in a game, I expect to see them in realistic renders. This game amazes me every time for its quality
@@giovafncreative the visual quality is top notch in tlou2 i will not lie, gameplay is possibly one of the most enjoyable on the ps4 and ps5 as well. far better than 1 in almost everything (Yk whats pretty much the only exception)
Its most likely done in a way similar to however the roblox engine adapts normal maps into texture blending on terrain voxels
Regarding the whispering, this is already in the PS3/PS4 versions. But you left out a related part. If you kill the 2 Clickers in this area before you lift Ellie up over the gate, when you go through the gate Ellie will leave it open.
But if you don't kill these 2 Clickers first then Ellie will close and lock the gate behind you (to keep the Clickers from following you), meaning you can't go back to that area. I made that mistake once when I didn't have enough shiv materials to open the shiv door there - I thought "Oh I can go through this gate, find more supplies, and then go back." Then I went through and Ellie locked the gate behind me.
@@notfiraswa yes, the entry into Bill's town.
@@notfiraswa Yes, the gate where you have to life Ellie up and over so she can open the gate from the other side. Once you're through this gate you're on the main street of Bill's Town.
Lollll then u start silently raging cuz u missed out on all the good shi
Thanks for the heads up lol just started another play through.
Guess it’s incentive to clear out enemies
A detail that screws up your gameplay 🤣
Its insane that a lot of these details were already in the original game back in 2013 on the ps3, what a game
yep
nice profile picture eheh
it has characters it has a story, it was coded, one of the remakes of all time
A lot?
Wassup bro
15:21 Blood filling through the gaps on the tile first. Great detail. I thought the tile was just a texture.. how did they do it? well done Naughty Dog.
My guess is that they used a "flow map" that lined up with the normal map of the tile...
A flowmap is a texture that determines how things flow, eg water.
A normal map holds data that gives the texture some depth and shadowing
@@samixalam_ i didnt know they could do that with the normal maps.. Such a cool detail by the developers.
Maybe the game is worth a bit of money after all with all the detail put into it
@@kellogscornflakes2430 yeaaaah, now you ruined it.
@@samixalam_ good guess. They use lots of rgb channel-packed textures with each color determining which channel should be used for each animation/interaction. Really fascinating stuff when you dig through their files.
you have no idea how much i needed that motion sickness accessibility. When i played the old version i had to stop after just every hour cause of how dizzy i was. Great that the developers acknowledge that
The environment interaction was the craziest one for me. I can’t believe you were able to knock over every single disc and watch them slowly slide down, aswell as closing the dish washer. Amazing detail
man i know and the chess bored you can fold it
Love the combat in TLoU series, the whole sequence with him bleeding out then getting rushed by his friend feels like a cutscene 7:28
Yea it doesn't seem like it would've been a cutscene.
You seen how real it is the way he jumps?
I was thinking the same! It's so mind blowing. The Last of Us games are all SO WAY ahead of their time, up there with Red Dead Redemption 2 in my opinion.
snoys are delusional
@@8304u can't even spell it right.
Somewhere out there there's a few developers who worked on the environment shedding tears that someone documented these easy to miss details
I could talk endlessly about the extent of accessibility settings. So many games neglect this aspect of making space for all players, but it’s so so important. Love it. All developers and their teams should take notes-this is how accessibility in gaming should be done!
(P.S. Starlight ;D)
Another one I caught was water running down Joel’s hand if it gets wet. Noticed it while unlocking a safe in the hotel lobby. Also cool to see wounds on Joel and enemies that leak blood down their clothing/faces.
I’ve just started playing last night and the one detail I was amazed at was the rain in downtown! It looked so real! All the water effects were so satisfying! I love the realism and small details. So far I’m really impressed 👍🏻
It may seem terrible to finish them when they are begging, but they try to kill you if you don’t kill them
this game is amazing!! the amount of detail that went into this game is beautiful
nice name
Yet folks still complain because they didn’t get their way. Annoying af
The detail that stood out to be was the workbench upgrades and how you actually can see Joel using the new tool on the guns for each level of upgrade.
The toolkit joel owns is a cool new detail, all the tools in tlou2 were already there at the workbenches
I just got the remake .. and i realized I already saw all this detail back in 2013 ... how it is now, is pretty much how I saw it when i first played the game. One of my top 5 favorite games of all time and thanks to my cousin Macho (may he R.I.P 🙏🏽) I would've never played it. I can legit remember seeing the intro for the first time and thinking "this is something special." Glad to see this story finally and truly appreciated how it should've been 10 years ago.
The first time I played back in 2015 and had an enemy beg for his life, it shook me a little. It was just too realistic and I wasn’t expecting it from a game. I love this game so much.
omggg the phone lock screen being The Photo makes it even more heartbreaking, but adding it in early is BRILLIANT
A majority of these details weren't added for Part 1, but were kept from the original PS3 game and carried over from Part 2. With that said, I like the added environmental interaction, even if they removed instances of it from the original.
Another small detail: cockroaches that are crawling around in various apartments react to light and will scurry away and hide if you shine your flashlight on them
This and rdr2 are the best single players games I’ve ever played. They’re perfect in almost every aspect. Truly a masterpiece
Arthur Morgan in TLOU would be a pleasant sight, now that I think about it.
Red dead Redemption 2 has MP, they have re released the first Red Dead though without its MP trophies.
Wait till GTA 6 drops bro you will be speechless by he details
Wait till GTA 6 drops bro you will be speechless by the details
Ever played uncharted 4? At least deserves a bronze medal
Just started another play through & wow, using enemies to defend against clickers is so useful. Wish I knew that sooner lol cause I died at least 10 times trying to kill a bunch of runners and only 1 clicker (in one of the first areas)
Not being able to shoot at the PS3 is a hilarious detail! 😂😂😂 "no friendly fire will be tolerated"
some of these existed in the original PS3 release:
- Ellie reacted to the flashlight, but in a different animation. other characters didn't though
- enemies reacted to empty gun sound (that was actually a gameplay demo feature and blew everyone's mind back in 2012 or something)
- Ellie still picked up Sam's toy
- twitter ones obviously
- David had a splinter too
the blood ones are the most mind blowing, pretty cool stuff
Playing when the game was brand new - I shot an enemy that was throwing a Molotov at Joel... Blowing off the guys arm mid throw. The bottle drops on him and engulfed him in fire. I paused/sat down the controller and my buddy and I were like did that just happen!
naughty dog is literally so good at little details almost no one would ever notice. even in 2013 with the limitations that came with the era they added so many tiny details into tlou1 that it starts to feel real. it's one of the reasons they are my favorite game company
Weirdly my favourite is enemies knowing you’re out of ammo
It was in the original tlou release. I used to lure enemies in and then swap to a shotgun, beautiful gameplay 👌
Another great detail is on the bottom of the Molotov bottles. It has Naughty Dog’s paw print logo and the number 061413 which is the date the Last of Us was originally released on the PlayStation 3.
The level of evironment interaction part was new and wow.
The chessboard interaction blew my mind , no other game could achieve that level interaction
@@ARCLIGHT21 Yeah. The gun barrel having collisions and the environment being so interactive is a rare sight
Another thing on number 8, if you’re holding a person hostage and pull the trigger with no ammo, the person will immediately escape
11:15 she tries to catch Joel not looking(sneaky SOB)
I've been waiting so long for this video KnightZ, you're awesome and I love it so much! This remake is perfect in all!
OMGGGG! I can't wait to play this!!! I'm so happy you made a video about all these details! I'm torn between wanting to devuor them, or waiting to play the game myself and naturally experience them!
This game'll be 40! Come black fridayish. You should wait. But you're gonna do you.
I’m probably hella late but I’d 1000% experience it for yourself!
I have been obsessed with this game since it came out, and I had no idea about the twitter accounts! It's wild how far they will go for the immersion. I love it
Bro!! I never knew we could use clickers as bait yo each other!! Im definitely usin it next play through
The fact that I never knew you could kill runners with a clicker💀
recording this must have been SOOO much fun!!! We already know the story so you could just walk around ABSORBING every single detail!!!!
My first "insane" detail I noticed was that characters get bothered if u shine a flaslight into their eyes and cover them
8:09 ellie looks so irritated when joel shines the light in her eye
You should see the dismemberment with the nail bomb. I blew a guy in half with it. Guts and everything. Disgusting but also incredible detail.
I can't wait for this game to be finally released onto PC. I played through this game surely 10-15 times and absolutely love it to the brim.
Most of these details would go unnoticed, like the passage of time on the clocks. That is in fact crazy level detail they put in this. This game is a masterpiece all along the way.
The blood melting blew my mind
My jaw fell to the ground when i saw that part
It was in Part 2
I missed love these kinds of videos. So much to see so much to learn about a games detail. 👌
Many of these details were already on the original versions of the game (PS3 and PS4), but it's clear they added some new stuff on the "Remake".
True, also bro said "Remake" like it isn't one lmfao. it still is
@@Laikalister Not really. They just remade the graphics and the facial expressions.
The rest is, pretty much, the same.
Wasn’t expecting too much new stuff but that carpet movement is the kind of little detail that blows me away in video games
Starlight. Love the details Naughty Dog puts in their games
I love the enemies reacting if you run out of bullets. 😄
7:11
"Bro you have no head🤣"
"bro.. you dont have a head..."
The people in Naughty Dog they are sick with the details...
On the first one, what if you wait like 10 hours in real time and then come back? Is it still dark outside? Does the game force you to go ahead after a certain point?
wonder the same but no answerrrss
12:06 blew my mind!!!!!!!!
17:02 ITS SETH?!!?!?!?! 7 years later my god Naughty Dog. Maybe its just me, but that blew me away.
I could see Joel working on his weapons all day
It's a good Day when knight uploads hoping to see the next part soon fam and welcome back 🤝🤝
We need someone to wait at Joel’s house until the morning
The attention to minor details Naughty Dog puts in this game is what really adds to immersion. There's so much here I failed to notice but it really shows the difference between a game treated with care vs a rushed out product. It's a shame more companies don't practice this but I suppose it makes the ones that do all that more special.
I don't think a game not having a crazy amount of attention to detail means it's a rushed product. One reason why ND can do have that much attention to detail is because they are a first-party Sony owned studio and have access to a lot more financial resources than most studios due to that. PS makes billions more than EA, Ubisoft, and other big publishers.
I really love the fact that most of this details already has been in original TLoU. What a game.
One detail i noticed while okaying was right before the zoo part, when your on the overpass/exit and you go to the open trailer, the door is swinging because if the wind and everytime it hits the wall it makes a sound
My favorite childhood game
The first one is a good but rather weird detail. The whole Prologue is supposed to play out during the night, what happens when the clock reaches 7:00 and it is still dark outside?
My guess is that the clock will eventually freeze at a certain time, because the same thing was used in part 2.
I love how you were looking at the detail and the dude just came out of nowhere and jumped you, then ellie saved you
Feeding clickers was such a good combat tactic in TLOU2, glad its added to the first game now too
I didn't know about Seth, amazing dude:D great job
Not adding a dodge is made less painful when they add things like the zombie clicker shield. Thats soo cool
You can tell they truly put their heart and soul into it
16:32 the most awesome detail in video game history ❤️😎
Man I would totally try to restore a PS3 if I was in The Last of Us.
@@TheUltraStar ah so you can die in peace and think about the good memories you had (:
Games advanced so much in so little time. I remember playing 16 bit games when I was young and going to 3D Zelda blew my mind.
We went from pong to this. This is why we live in a simulation. Graphics and physics are already looking pretty real. Now imagine what they would be in 100, 1000, or 10000, years etc.
Does anyone know what happens if you keep waiting and checking the time until it’s morning?
I was thinking the same
the clock will probably eventually stop, like it does in part II in ellie’s bedroom
hooooooly smokes, the blood forming into the cracks of the tile quicker just blew me away. How and why would you even go to those lenghts whew.
Ellie: ... Joel you are scaring me
Joel: ...
Ellie: you re rotating aroun the carpet for 40 minutes by now what are you doing?...
Joel: *intense Carpet staring walk*
The confusion at 18:24 is also really cool.
Being able to drag the chess board with your gun is sick
You forgot to say that you can now smash the windows like tlou part 2
Thanks for your amazing work
Some are new to the 2022 version, and some were already present in the original 2013 version (human enemies reacting to hearing you run out of bullets, Ellie reacting to your flashlight, running clocks, etc).
15:22 this one is crazy
indeed! they literally made the blood as a liquid object not an animation
@@Jimmm11 and floor feel like object, not just texture.
This game it's a true jewel! WOW! I'm blown away with the dedication.
in the beggining of the game we can hear a radio saying that a father killed his wife and two kids. Later in the game on the highway before getting to the hospital you can find a caravan with a picture of a family with a father, mother and two kids. In the caravan there are 3 bodies 2 small ones and one bigger wich could be connected to what we hear in the beggining of the game.
I have to Admit that is some Insane details that I have never seen it's like a real life details that I have been inspired a lot 👍🏻👍👍🏿
The whispering part was crazy realistic!
When you're just chilling and suddenly Joel and Ellie kills you
Making a Clicker finish of a Runner will come in handy when I try to complete Grounded Mode.
Blood seeping through the different floor tiles is so unnecessary but insanely perfect
The environmental interaction was fun when I wanted to check out more of Bill’s magazines in his shelf 🤪
Just the very first one, the clock on the wall turning in Real time got me… amazing game.
That's nice. I can't wait to buy it again when it's $10
@@That-Will-Do-It
Isn't this a 2023 game?
@@That-Will-Do-It you're paying 70$ for a reskin 🤷♂️
5:33 "Look we can work something out okay?"
"What about your jaw?~"
The Last of Us and The Last of Us 2 was my games! I knew all these details because I played both for hours and ended it multiple times. Even went as far as to use all the accessibilities and in TLOS 2? I even used slow motion, certain graphics, played the whole game with those certain Graphics. I especially loved playing the whole game in slow motion. I basically was insanely in love with this game. Me not being able to shoot the PlayStation made me smile a bit. But I did try to blow it up as well 😂😂😂😂
11:50 bro said it's time to clean up 😭😭
On the first clocks detail,, will the sun come up if we wait longer for morning??
Baffling to see this much effort for a remake nobody had asked for :o much better would have been to make a brand new game
Sony pushed for it :/
lmao
They're obviously making a new game but this is to coincide with the TV show.
Gotta capitalize on the show. And milk more out of their fans. Tlou is one of if not my favorite game of all time. I will get this but not for 70$ these greedy bastards man.
@@eliseotorres7958 it’s remaster of a remaster they doing the same thing as rockstar re releasing gta 😂😂
Yeah, I especially like it when you find all 5 tools and he just wipes the weapon with a rag.
The guy at 5:30 reminds me of that guy in the movie adaptation of The Road (inspiration for TLOU), who strips his clothes and belongings.
Only problem with the first one is the notification time stays the same at 2:00am it said 5 min but at 2:10AM it still says 5. Only small complaint:)
The music at the start is so calming
I’ve noticed a new one recently. If Joel/Ellie take damage, sometimes you can see blood realistically dropping on the floor when they move.
I wonder if the AI dogs use this to find you.
The clocks in Joel’s house never pass 3AM and loop back afterwards though.
