DGM's endings are really beautiful. I learned Lala's song when first come up. And, when the Musician's song was aired and sung by Allen... OMG
I LOVE Lala’s song. I used to know the words by heart. I can’t believe I stopped listening to it (my iPod was stolen so it’s gone). I need to learn the lyrics again ❤️

Losing a loved one is so painful that one may sometimes wish to be able to resurrect them-a weakness that the enigmatic Millennium Earl exploits. To make his mechanical weapons known as "Akuma," he uses the souls of the dead that are called back. Once a soul is placed in an Akuma, it is trapped forever, and the only way to save them is to exorcise them from their vessel using the Anti-Akuma weapon, "Innocence." After spending three years as the disciple of General Cross, Allen Walker is sent to the Black Order-an organization comprised of those willing to fight Akuma and the Millennium Earl-to become an official Exorcist. With an arm as his Innocence and a cursed eye that can see the suffering souls within an Akuma, it's up to Allen and his fellow Exorcists to stop the Millennium Earl's ultimate plot: one that can lead to the destruction of the world.

Zetsuen no tempest js so good omg, but we can't even fjnd the op on youtube... in good quality (all I found was a 450p)
D.Gray-Man might never have held a place on my top 5 or even top 10 favorite anime of all time, but Crown Clown will forever be my absolute favorite outfit. The mask, the fur cloak and the arms! [chef's kiss~]
Such a great show, so sad the author get sick with back problems, and the production suffered a slow down, still pretty hopeful she will recover and that we get more seasons on the anime
DGM is still ongoing, volume 28 will be soon out in english, I hope they will decide to make more seasons or even whole redo. DGM needs love

last i heard, the anime was stopped because the author didnt care for how they were doing hallow so im hoping that she lets them try again in the future with either a reboot or a continuation

@@javierMartinez-et1pn yes thats true. Chapter 245 came out on June 25 2022. And you should read it. So much backstory after D Gray man Hallow :D I think D gray man hallow end by chapter 190 to 200 but i'm not totally sure

@Natsume I know!! The 14th melody is an absolute gem; I sometimes listen to it along with Lacie from Pandora hearts. Also, Lala's lullaby made me cry.
And there's also Krory and Eliade's theme song... all the ost's are just so good😍😍
I rewatched for the millionth time in Halloween 🎃 and it was such a wonderful experience I'll never get tired

i liked it for how dark and colorfull it could been and the main characters are all great

when it was released, it was BIG.
D-gray man was huge originally in the late 2000s.
But eventually it fizzled out due to issues with new chapters with the manga and the mangaka getting a hand injury, etc etc.

I’m so happy that this one has a reaction on. This anime was just a great one and dear to my heart. This anime is very hard to summarize without giving away the plot.
Such a shame what happened with this masterpiece... Damn hiatus TT_TT
Basic summary: there are demons created by the Millenium Earl (big guy with high hat) from people's despair after a loved one's death and a Church's organitation, the Black Order, of exorcists that fights them. An exorcist is someone who can use Innocence, a power able to destroy the demons (or akumas) and it could be anyone (thus different nationalities). Allen Walker is the MC, a british young man with a parasit Innocence (is a part of his body, his left arm) who was cursed by his adoptive father's akuma (the reason for the scar, white hair and special eye that lets him see the akuma's despairing souls).
It is dark and pretty serious, with blurry lines about who the bad and good guys really are as the story progresses.
Road and Tiky (little girl and cool guy with the man-eating butterflies) are charismatic as hell and both of them are unrepented killers.
I’m so glad you dug up this relic such an SSS tier anime hope it gets its full adaptation some day, sad that the author has had this bone disease but hope she returns to be a legend again.
All I have to say is THANK YOU for reviewing this. I just wish more people would know this and support the author. This story has been one of the things I go back to, to remind me of important perspectives in tough times. It has not been going for 18 years despite long years of hiatuses for no reason. If you are ever interested in watching without the pressure of reacting to it I implore you to do so. This anime must be noted that light novel material was included in many of the filler episodes. Making this anime a rare in having the whole bulk of existent content at the time it was made and aired. This is also a story that has foreshadow and clues form the very beginning relevant to chapters now and through the series. I have a list of episodes here that are the MOST plot relevant and pacing appropriate. And will explain why to skip some fillers.
S1 eps: 1-6 (8 cannon comedic relief) 9-13 (16,17 plot relevant later in manga based on light novel), 19-25.
Skip eps: 7,14,15,18,(very incoherent to plot, fillers non cannon and disrupt anime pacing and tone)
S2 eps: 26-30, 33&34*(could be relevant for Season 5 character arc. But wont matter if you watch or not either is fine) 36 is also non disruptive to watch it actually is a good transition and ads to the tone. 37-40 & 51.
SKIP: 41-50 (complete non canon nonsensical disruptive fillers ).
S3 eps: 52-76 all cannon
S4 eps: 77-103 all cannon
Season 5
From episode 103 this is chapter 156 in Manga. Story resumes on ch 157, 158 and has comedic relief (for whaat is about to happen) from ch 159-1 ch164. So 5th season resumes from 165 and tries to cover from chapters 165-209, with 13 episodes. However it started to skip major plot lines from chapter 207.

The manga is still ongoing. The author's health has deteriorated severely, but she's determined to finish this series.
You'll see how Allen got his scar in the very first episode.
If you notice in opening 4, the main character is missing an arm. Cause he's holding it. It's the giant buster sword.
Hallow is updated with the author's updated art style for the manga.
That still at the end of the main character with his dad is quite important. Glad you caught it!
I never lose hope that I will see DGM completed. It is such a wild story and I am emotionally compromised by every character. As a teenager I learned a lot of metaphysical concepts by experiencing their character arcs, it's very dear to me.
Truly one of the most underrated anime I’ve ever seen. I very VERY RARELY see this listed on any sort of personal list or “guess the anime op” video or anything like that. It has its flaws for sure (even I can acknowledge that despite my love for the series) but the story feels so different than a lot of what’s being put out today. Thank you for taking a look at the OPs because they’re all so good 🥹💚

One of the old ones that got a season continuation fairly recently.
That is also why the last OP seems a bit different from the rest.
I do believe that the manga is still ongoing btw.
As for other recommendations:
- Magi. OPs and EDs. There are 2 seasons of this one as well a prequel with Sinbad as the MC.
Banger OSTs here. Personal favorite is "Enfin Apparu". Although people will argue that Sinbad's theme (L'Arabesque Sindria) is better.
- To Aru series. If I remember correctly, it was released as Index - Railgun - Accelerator. Btw, the 1st OP of Index and the 1st OP of Railgun basically the same stuff happen but from the perspective of different people. That is because in Index we follow the story from the eyes of Touma and in Railgun we follow the story from the eyes of Misaka. Really nice touch there.
- Shakugan no Shana OPs and EDs. This one has banger OSTs as well.

I didn't realise I watched the last episode until "Fin" appeared at the end. I was so traumatise that 14 years on, I can still remember where I was when I watched that last episode. And YES! Nendoroid came out with Allen Walker, Kanda and Lavi!
ah yes the memories, d.gray man. I have watched it a long long time ago i will never forget this one. Its an amazing story with amazing fights mysterious characters and a lot of emotions. you should really give it a try gazmash. Got nostalgic watching this video

ah d. gray man... i watched this rather early on in my anime watching timeline. I liked the OPs a lot and i liked that one piano song in it, i think it's called 14th melody, Musician?
it's gothic battle shounen, something i haven't seen much of lately.
too bad the manga is updating really slowly and had a bunch of breaks but it's understandable cuz of the mangaka's health

Dgrayman was my first anime that i watch and I felt love with it
If you love gothic, you’ll probably love this show. It’s the aesthetic for sure. Such an underrated show. I still read the manga and it’s still one of my top anime/manga. This is a classic and probably would have been just as popular as Bleach and Naruto back in the day if it had aired in the West. It’s has a more mature and darker tone than other popular shounen works. And it has religious themes and we all know how some white Christian moms reacted to Pokémon. Imagine if they aired this. 😅
It's a great show. D.gray-man can be literally interpreted as 'The Gray Man' because the everyone is morally grey in this show

@@Truck-Kun2.0 to me it is. Waiting for the manga is not an issue for me. In terms of the quality of content it already is up there. Mainstream and known things are not necessarily the best. Some catch waves some make them and this one made its own beach and sits there regardless of the coming and going waves. That is how good this is. To me having objectively and subjectively analyzed this work.
@@Larindarr It is to me but my problem is it might not be if it’s another berserk, D.Gray-Man is being sat on cause people are even saying hallow was terrible after 8 years of waiting, I’m sure the manga is a masterpiece but the anime isn’t at least in terms of completion. I’m trying to start off at episode 103 not some spin off that apparently didn’t do the manga justice. This anime use to be in my top 4 but now it’s like top 10 if & when it gets complete. It just sucks that all the truly talented Manga Writers get soo many health problems I hope she gets better she’s such a great writer I’d miss her work.
@@Truck-Kun2.0 the "non talented" mangaka who don't have hiatuses have health issues too they just are forced to work through more often.. Which is the real problem imo someone compared this to berserk but I'm pretty sure Hoshino's hiatuses aren't a last resort the way those of Miura among others were. I like that she can take hiatuses without being on death's door or totally incapacitated, cause that's how all the industry should be. Even so, I understand the frustration I just don't feel any sort of need for a chapter because there's always interesting work out there to appreciate at the same time!
@@Truck-Kun2.0 she is very discouraged. Because of what happened after Hallow. But I still believe if she is shown proper respect, as she should she could be encouraged to allow it to be reanimated. She said sh has more material form the beginning to the current chapters. So a redraft would definitely have to be done. This is why any and all material circulating reviewing reacting etc on this series helps more than you can imagine. BTW if you are trying to transition from ep 103 to the manga here is the transition: ep 103 is ch 156. Story briefly resumes from Ch 157 and 158. Then you have comedic relief with small snippets of main plot from Ch159-164. The story resumes (Where Hallow tried to pick up from) Ch 165-209. It is in Ch 207 that you will see the main differences and plot lines that were not included. Thank you for engaging and respondin 🙏🏻

I'd pretty much forgotten about D-Grey Man. One of the first longer running animes I completed (second or third maybe?)
I love seeing people react to dgm, cuz how do you explain that the white haired guy is the main character, also he is the main villain, who is also the twin brother of the other main villain, who was his adoptive father, but actually they are just one person who split into two. And also the main character technically never existed and he is slowly losing his humanity down to his memories. Also that is his second time living. Hope this clears things up 👍
D Gray is amazing👍. And last opening in full version is masterpiece.
D.Gray-Man is fantastic and my favorite anime and manga of all time. I definitely recommend checking out the anime at some point. The anime is incomplete but the manga is slowly ongoing so hopefully the anime will be finished one day🙏🏻

This anime is a masterpiece. It deserves a spot among the big three anime like bleach, naruto, and one piece. Sadly, the manga always goes on hiatus due to the author's health. Katsura Hoshino is a good mangaka. I always appreciate and love her work.
the big robotish looking beings are called Akuma and the like dark olive skinned people are the Noah clan. The butterflies are called Tease. the flying balls (the gold one and the black bat looking ones) are called golums. the gold one has a name and is called Timcampy.

Allen (the white haired/scarred kid) got his scar when he turned his foster father into an Akuma. Its also his curse which allows him to see the souls of Akuma. It evolves during Kroy's Castle arc.

If I had to sort of explain the title of the show without spoilers, I would say it's about *gray areas* regarding what is morally right and what is evil, and the protagonist is at the center of it all
This is one of those stories where the "villains" are such a big deal and so powerful that it's the same group the whole time. And you really have no idea if our main characters are even able to win. No villain of the week or arcs villains as many long anime are known for. This one is horrifying in the way how terribly powerful the opponents here are.
