Black Dog was one of the first action movies that I ever saw, when I was a kid. And my very first Patrick Swayze film. It's actually the film that made me fall in love with Peterbilt trucks, especially the 379s. Was cool back then and still cool now.

It is reassuring that Patrick Swayze actually knew how to. And really had driving experience. Makes a veteran feel kind if nostalgic to know. That I wasn't the only veteran driver watching this movie. But I do send my most sincere condolences to his wife and all of his family. And Patrick may you RIP my fellow brother.

I like how they picked a Texan star to drive a Peterbilt truck in one of the last good trucker action flicks
One of the most impressive actors in the world. Rewatching movies with him is real pleasure. When I was a child I watched "Black dog" day by day many times. And now I am 28 and I still rewatch this movie from time to time. One of my dreams is came to US and visit places where was "Black dog" filmed.
What a shame patrick was claimed by cancer. I absaloutly loved black dog. The rig is massive. Fav scene is when he tells sonny to floor it, then jack crews ramms on the break and the 2 guys in the brown car blow up into the back of the truck, then Earl says ("yeah, you can drive ") jack crews (" its coming back to me") I love interstates, that feeling of driving far away on them. Roads, junction's, bridges, signposts, traffic, big rigs pulling weight. I read somewhare this film in 1998 was the last of the great road movies, as i say i love it. And to see patrick driving the rig for real was classy. A good man, may you rest in peace sir.👍.
Nice interview. I was only 7 years old in 1998 and I saw Black Dog at the movies. I had no idea Patrick was a trucker in real life and I had no idea he was in pain while making Black Dog. RIP Patrick Swayze.

Patrick did fantastic job on this film movie , why I order blueray dvd today. One Greatest hit film movie. A plus. And soundtrack A plus 100%. Nice to remember Patrick all his classic hits film movies. Truly do miss him very much. So close call on Randy Travis. I watch this over and over again. Thank you. Nice hear drive truck he was younger. He did same thing my father did at same age. My grandpa was drive haul gravel back old days and my dad was oldest child first. And later my uncles , kind love hear truck story’s . Why enjoy this film movie. Thank you Patrick. God bless you in heaven but never miss hope someday see you again. One greatest actor and dancer and singer. 100%. He was following his dreams. He live on Forever!!!
God rest your soul Pat your the one of the best actors and in this film trucker of the last of the 1900's 20th century into the New Century 2000 and beyond.
Patrick Swayze showed his real toughness playing in this movie being in the shape that he was in at the time. Awesome man. Meatloaf’s portrayal of red showed he could act and still be the great singer he’s been for a long time. Miss you Patrick, you were a strong, courageous fighter against cancer.

I've heard that Fox & the Hound 2 is pretty terrible.
Kevin Sorbo was supposed to be the lead but couldn't bc of the aneurysms he had he couldn't finish it. They just added Patrick into scenes bc the film was almost complete with Kevin Sorbo.
