    » SELF-INTRODUCTION
We were just an ordinary Japanese married couple, both working, until my wife suddenly chose to move overseas.
After thinking deeply, I reached a conclusion to leave the company I worked for 12 years, and started my new life as a stay-at-home dad in 2021.
At first, I had rough time with stress and felt conflicted, but now I enjoy my life in Malaysia, taking the household chores over from my wife.
As I changed my lifestyle I changed my hairstyle to Samurai(Man Bun).
I named this channel "Samurai -----" as some people call me "samurai!" since I came to Malaysia.
In this channel, I will be introducing:
    1. My daily life and things I noticed as stay-home-dad
    2. My Malaysian life
    3. Changes we experience upon moving overseas
    Hope you enjoy!

And then you squeeze the lime on top of it, woahhhhh soooo goood. Also if it's spicy, the teh ais can really help haha. Or Milo ice... such an adventure hahaha

In the fried noodle, you have already found the fried tofu. The one you asked about was most likely a fried fritter, which is basically fried flavoured dough. There is a proper name for it, but most people will understand if you call it "kueh" as in "kueh untuk mee goreng mamak". Many shops use only one type of kueh in their fried noodles, though there are places that use more than one type.

If you enjoy Mee Mamak, you must try the one in New Apollo Coffeeshop in USJ 4. You can have the Mee Goreng (Dry) and also the Mee Rebus (with a thick sauce). This stall is a relative of the famous Bangkok Lane Mee Goreng in Penang. The taste is authentic and very good.
Apart from that, you can also have the Hokkien prawn mee and the beef hor fun (flat rice stick noodles) here which are both above average standard in this coffeeshop.

Each state have a very unique twist to their food, you can always find new flavours even for me as a Malaysian. As I'm from east Malaysia I gotta represent my state and let me tell you gotta try our mee goreng and laksa, the flavour is really rich compared to other states.

You should try maggi goreng and mee siam with fried eggs. They are fantastic! Also, mee rebus is wonderful too, provided you can find good ones (a bit of a hit and miss. Only had 1 awesome mee rebus in my life).

In Kedah Mamak who sells mee goreng almost always also sell mee rebus. Not like in KL. What KL people call rojak in Kedah we call it pasumbur. Spelling may be wrong. Rojak is mixed vegetable and fruits on black prawn paste.

Looks so mouth-watering! Msia indeed a variety blast of delicious F&B. But Samurai man, my advice is when u ask how much to avoid saying to food vendors directly.'It's very cheap!' Yes, it's very cheap for middle and upper income class pple but for the lower income working Msians that plate of mee goreng offers a fantastic reasonably price affordable food for sustenance. Just say 'wow good or nice price or just say nothing, but be very happy!😂 My family had 3 bowls of simple ramen at a very small halal resto in Tokyo each bowl costs ¥1450 for 3 son and husband we paid ¥4350 plus sc not sure total how much hubby paid. But it's OK we're just on a holiday🤭 a memorable experience😂. Def gonna visit Salim's'🤤

You should’ve taken his suggestion of adding extra Tamago, since Japanese people loves runny egg I’m sure you’d love the addition of a “telur mata” which are like sunny side egg on top of the noodle. Try it next time!
