Coincidentally, I just watched a video and read a report about Japan today and this lady said she would prefer to live in Japan because of the people there. The report that I read is about Japan ranked 3rd at the bottom of happiness level based on survey among 30 nations and it is also categorized as the depressed nation considering the suicide rates. I am aware of the happiness level is based on individual perceptions but after reading that report, I am also depressed 😂 ...in the areas that we think Japan supposed to prosper are in fact mostly ranked at the bottom half, rarely seen them ranked better than 5th from the bottom of the list. Then I remembered asking my Japanese friends who live and work in Malaysia about the 'pressure of society' they faced in Japan and how do they deal with it... and their answer was "that's why I am in Malaysia now." Oh, right.. 😅
I do wonder if a big part of that is related to the work culture there. People being overworked and also just pushing through the stress / negative feelings, never really talking about them or acknowledging them too much, or doing anything to fix their unhappiness except for maybe covering it with alcohol. From my perspective the country looks amazing, I'd really like to spend a full month there to see how it feels.

I love your channel, man. You interview them transparently. I sometimes love to hear the truth from the mouth rather than sugar-coating channel content that praises Malaysians for likes and viewers.
I think the answers for ,“want to live in Malaysia?”are divided between men and women. I suppose less women to say yes. I don’t mean Malaysia is a bad country. Basically, men like adventures and women need calm places. The woman chose Japan. That’s the reason. I’m a Japanese and live in Japan. Foreign people around me feel comfortable to live here, even they don’t speak Japanese language.
Good interview session. Interesting responses! Malaysia is definitely nice to live in. No issues in this country (except for the heat during mid-day). LOL
To me, they no need to live here at all.. but, always be wellcomed here as a tourist & consider this country as a second home to enjoy the diversity of various things is quite enough..👍🏽
Frankly I’m not a person who subscribe to any youtube channel except for my favorite sport team Liverpool FC, and guess what your channel Ben has +1 new follower/ subscriber that’s me! Now I have to say I like your channel and I always waiting for upcoming video. Been living in Kuala Lumpur I used to host foreigners, did couchsurfing, and people really like KL. They usually come back, and I am quite surprised to say the Colombian lady says food diverse in Malaysia has not satisfied her enough. I agree you can find Thailand has genuine or have identity in terms of foods but saying Malaysian foods are less diversity, you’re wrong girl. Bet she haven’t explore much. In terms of Japan, yes they are really helpful, lack of English, friendly but as someone who have known Japanese living in Penang, they’re prefer to in Malaysia rather than their home country. Well I hope someday you visit Penang and interview Japanese there. From what I heard Japanese really love Malaysia, and consider Malaysia as #1 or #2 to live out of their home country. Travel in Japan is so much joy and very safe, but working in Japan is a thing you need to avoid at least. Working culture much more different than in Western, let alone in Malaysia where people seem more relax. I have been studying in the UK and working in the US, and I would say the Colombian lady need to explore more of the country, she needs a guide seems she lost. Anyway Ben keep up the good work. I love your channel. You’re gaining +1 new subscriber
Hi Ben, have you ever considered uploading your videos on tiktok as well? I feel you can really get a lot more exposure there, especially among Malaysians
If you feel like to stay or live then go for it, if Malaysia not suitable for you then its okay , I hope my country can stay underrated and hidden because I like that way but yeah you are more than welcome, this is important of traveling in order to find where the right suitable country that really can make you feel like home
Alhamdulillah...I think is good thing some of them don't want to live in Malaysia if they don't like to follow Islam rules and way of life in Malaysia. We very grateful to be able to stay safe and peacefully among Malaysian.
Hello small bro. You do realise that Islamic rule, Syariah as it is, only applies to Malays. Foreigners aren't subject to any Islamic rule. The law is from the old British structure. To be able to stay peacefully in Malaysia is something the whole nation needs to be grateful for. Thank god.
Yes. We should instead let the Afghanistan people that follow Islam rules to stay in Malaysia. Like women cannot go out without their husband's permission. And women are banned to speak in public.
Malaysia follow Islamic law that why can live peacefully..if they start to challenge Islamic law and behave like barbarian and komunist for sure Malaysia going down soon
is possibly because she only contacted with muslims and only went to halal restaurants. if only she discovered theres chinese and indian peoples and food then she will realise the diversity lol. and she probably just stay in the city center and goes to the mall LOL
Whatever comments are raised by others, we should take them positively, as everyone is free to share their opinions. As long as we can live in harmony, we can embrace diverse viewpoints. - A Malaysian.

11:56 Let's learn from what the Colombian girl is saying. Why does she feel that our country is not diverse? Why did she say that the people are not friendly and helpful? How can we improve this? I'm pretty sure she's not the only one who feels this way, right?
She is not the only one who think of this, sadly. Judging by her english, she might meant 'not enough diversity' towards food choices, and not people(bc they were talking about food). I'm Malaysian, and I too most of the time gets bored of the food here especially for dinner. Not much around to find other than malay Thai restaurant or mamak that is less expensive. Even when there are other restaurants available it will be those expensive ones. Man I just want me a nice dish that is below RM10 or RM15 for dinner other than those 2 mentioned(yes I've been searching around, don't come to me and say I've not traveled enough to find it). The quality is so so too. Plus, it's not very surprising for her to think our people are not that friendly/helpful or welcoming. Just look at the comments berating her opinion. That itself speaks volume. It's true she only stayed for 4 days so far(if I'm not mistaken) but within those days even though she hasn't chat with any locals yet, she did have interactions with locals(restaurants, shops, malls, etc). Maybe more than some leave a bad taste in her mouth. Should she try again in a longer period of stay? Maybe, yes. But she still can speak up her mind regardless. Shoo-ing her away doesn't seem 'friendly' or 'nice' at all, doesn't it? "How can we improve this?" Will we ever? Remember we favor white rather than coloured too and we seem to open our hearts more towards those western european people rather than asian that, from Malaysian's eyes, countries that are much lower level than ours.
@yengwoo3179 "THE TRUTH HURTS" to be say . I'm agree with you. We can see on the previous video about "are malaysia cheap" . The comments section (or i would say the netizen) are going wild n crazy 😂😂😂 lots of the comments misleading dont know about the content . Haha
Senegal man for the win in this interview. I'm American and the costs of living (and other things) have become untenable for a comfortable, secure retirement. Malaysia will be added to my list of places to explore in future.
As Malaysian I don't think all of our food are spicy maybe she still don't explore the food here. I think Malaysia also very safe from extreme weather we can have peaceful mind living in Malaysia
Personally feel that we should accept that everyone is different and respect their honest opinions and preferences. Not a must for everyone to like it here.
Malaysia is peaceful and relaxed. Our discipline is similar to Japan and we behaved modestly. Our religion is also quite strong and family oriented. For those who want to hu ha go to Thailand not here
Hi Ben, Im born & breed here , i want to see you do a coverage around the Taman rimba in Malaysia also visit the reserve forest area. Also visit klang tanjung harapan also pulau ketam. The pulau ketam is a must. Very relaxing walk lots of mud skipper huge ones.
English is compulsory at Malaysian schools from elementary level and we learn British English so everyone knows some English therefore communication in English is not a problem
As a Tunisian who visited Malaysia in 2006 I must say Malaysia is a beautiful country! Tunisia is also beautiful, with a lot of historical landmarks , Carthaginian, Roman, Arab etc and a beautiful Mediterranean coastline (almost 70% of us live on the Mediterranean) but sadly the economy is bad, the politics is bad, and the infrastructure is also very mediocre and not very modern. Malaysia in comparison has much better infrastructure and more promising economy!
West Malaysia is a nice one hour stop on the way to Singapore for exciting events or Thailand for a fantastic holiday. East Malaysia is one of the best places for a long holiday. East Malaysia has a lot of nature to explore and beautiful diverse cultures to enjoy.
Malaysia is a lovely multicultural country, what it needs is better leadership from the top top. More transparency put the needs of the rakyat above personal needs.
I haven't been to Cambodia but for Thailand I'd say besides the women, there's the nature, beaches, food, hospitality, high quality accommodations, affordability. A lot of families go there, especially Malaysians, and I don't think they're all going just for the women.
There are many other interesting and livable places in suburban areas including PJ, Damansara Heights, Bangsar, Mont Kiara, and many more, especially for expatriates. Nevertheless, a lot of visitors and travellers only know about the city centre and share their experiences at touristy spots like KLCC and Bukit Bintang. Only those who have made serious decision to settle here may be aware of other potential neighbourhoods that would be acceptable for them to do so, as they are rarely featured in the vlogs. Given their limited time and exposure, I think expats might give you a greater perspective of the city than most tourists initially think, especially if they truly intend to move here.

*WELCOME TO MALAYSIA* 🥰😘
I went to Tunisia, the country is so beautiful with their beaches, hills, mountains, desert , valley, canyon and oasis.. they have good food too… but the accommodation are not really tourist friendly. I wish the government can focus on that. Tunisia has a very big potential of tourism.
Awesome, I can't wait to visit as well
I have many foreigner friends from all over the world; UK, Australia, France, Syria, Spain, Germany, Italy, Japan, etc. They love it here! They love the weather, the food, the people and for my westerner friends, they land themselves with good paying jobs and live like kings. Married locals and assimilate. What's not to like?
Agreed I think people from anywhere can come here and adjust well to the country

🇻🇪 Venezuelan here. My family and I lived in Kuala Lumpur for a few years. I even graduated from high school there, and… dear GOD HOW I MISS LIVING THERE 😢
Extremely diverse place (Colombian lady 100% yapping), the Chinese New Year is magical there, Malaysian people made me feel like I was respected and loved there, and I can just keep going as to how much I loved living there man… The only 2 problems is that there’s too many thunderstorms there and Malaysia is just so far away from the New Continent (the Americas).
Kuala Lumpur is literally what Caracas could’ve been if Chavez never rose to power, and you have no idea how badly I want to go back and live there even for just 5 years at most. 😢💔
Aww the Tunisian newly married couple alf Mabrook! Marhaba fi Malaysia! You guys are always welcome!

Malaysia is no 1 country for japanese expats tht says something abt d type of ppl who prefer malaysia over thailand or bali..isnt it obvious by now
I highly doubt it’s the #1 country for Japanese expat. Thailand and SG are the top. KL don’t even rank in the top 5-10
@TheZevvy ruclips.net/video/6JLka43mWGQ/видео.htmlsi=QeljlTWSIGyMEPaF
Coming from japanese themselves
That is not facts though just yr opinion
Top country for Japanese expats at No1 is USA, no2 China, no3 is Australia,
no4 is Thailand, Philippines is at no7. Malaysia is not in the top 10.
Expat means living in another country seeking for job, or sent to work abroad under a contract.
But favourites country for a 'long stay' for Japanese, Malaysia ranks at No1, Thailand no2, USA no3, Australia no4.

?Do foreigners want to live in Malaysia?
Foreigner me says, "Hell Yes".
I'll learn to suck up the heat and humidity.
Yea I've just learned to accept it and now the heat/humidity is just normal for me
Malaysia is a very nice country. I can only recommend it.
Humans learn to acclimatize. I too learn to acclimatize when I lived in the US. But at an older age, many will choose the warmer climate.
just go to malls if its not bearable🤣
@BlaqZ
Hey, of course we rely on AC at home, in malls and in other indoor buildings.
However, occasionally one does have to walk around outside or wait outside for a grab, where heat and humidity rule the land.

@HazzellHassan kann
@@yukai5283 eye-opening explanation. Thank you.👍
Interesting, I'll have to do part 2 and interview more women about this topic. Personally I really can't wait to visit Japan 🥹
@@benfishermin
I’m a woman.Female is high maintenance. So “adapt an environment in Malaysia?” is better than “want to live?”. (I’m not sure, though.)
Good interview session. Interesting responses! Malaysia is definitely nice to live in. No issues in this country (except for the heat during mid-day). LOL
I love the guys from Malaysia

Not skipping ads for your benefits Ben, keep it up. Tks.

Maybe a small umbrella over the phone on tripod would help with overheating.
Hi Ben, have you ever considered uploading your videos on tiktok as well? I feel you can really get a lot more exposure there, especially among Malaysians
so impressed with senegal man speak out the mind
@@Nonameforme12355you must be another Malaysian Chinese or Malaysian Indian who always hate the Malay Muslim in Malaysia.
@@Nonameforme12355 just afghanistan???
12:19 I have never heard of this comment about Malaysia. Interesting...
is possibly because she only contacted with muslims and only went to halal restaurants. if only she discovered theres chinese and indian peoples and food then she will realise the diversity lol. and she probably just stay in the city center and goes to the mall LOL
Whatever comments are raised by others, we should take them positively, as everyone is free to share their opinions. As long as we can live in harmony, we can embrace diverse viewpoints.

Except for flash floods... Which is literally just one problem that could've been solved decades ago...
Personally feel that we should accept that everyone is different and respect their honest opinions and preferences. Not a must for everyone to like it here.

Malaysia is a diverse country. There are thousands of churches, Hindu, Taoist and Buddhist temples all over the country.
foreigners likes thailand nd combodia bcoz of womens
Malaysians also like Thailand too.😂
I haven't been to Cambodia but for Thailand I'd say besides the women, there's the nature, beaches, food, hospitality, high quality accommodations, affordability. A lot of families go there, especially Malaysians, and I don't think they're all going just for the women.
Yes women, party and alcohol drinks are cheaper
The Colombian lady wants diversity but picks Japan which consist of mainly Japanese people. 😂
Whatever floats your boat. Lol
Great interview
