@@benfishermin On the average, it takes me 30 hours from California after transit and everything else. That Italian lady paid about $10 for 2 nights! $5 per night - that is insanely inexpensive. Whenever I travel to Malaysia I would definitely splurge a little on accommodation. Where else can you pay like $80 per night and stay in a luxurious beautiful 4-star hotel or Airbnb?! Motel 6 in California cost like $140 per night. I would go out and eat at all kinds of restaurants. In the U.S., I would stick to fast food (inexpensive instead of "cheap"), don't have to deal with 15% to 18% "gratuity" on top of 7.25% sales tax.

Actually Phuket used to be part of the Malay Kingdom during Malacca sultanate.. until Phuket and the rest of the islands including Langkawi was invaded by the Siamese. Later, it was gazetted by Thailand as part of Siam Kingdom. The Thais were notoriously known to commit genocide and wage war against the Malays back then. For me, I'll always remember what the Thais and Siamese did to my ancestors historically back then, because my family is from southern Thai province. I also aware in other videos the he noticed many of people (if not the most) u saw in KL city isn’t local or natives, many of them are foreigners/hard labour, like workers at mamak, supermarkets, restaurants even fnb and retailing also started to dominated by immigrant so people tend to get confused they are dealing with locals instead of immigrants workers.
And most of them live in dorms that located in KL city, that’s why u will find comments from the locals/ tourists that KL are full with immigrants instead of locals.

Hello fellow Malaysians, affordable is not equivalent to ‘cheap’. I stay in singapore for 10 yrs, so I think transportations and food are cheap in KL. Housing is free in KL because I’m local 😂

Also 3:25 they are concern about everything that is happening, I believe their superior told them to investigate in case of what you said as there are currently increasing reports of it. Keep posting vids man, love your effort

Malaysia is cheap , KL is expensive but depending which state town etc . Even on KL it’s cheap for them . If you’re a foreigner walking around in public places interviewing the public of course the local police would be suspicious. Respect the local rules , remember that applies in all other countries

OMG, the people who found Malaysia even remotely expensive need a dose of reality. Malaysia is dirt cheap considering the high level of infrastructure and all. Some place that is cheaper is not necessarily better at all.

Ya, terima kasih atas ulasan, anda betul 100% semuanya mengenai context. Sudah tentu ia tidak murah untuk ramai penduduk tempatan atau untuk semua orang, termasuk saya sendiri, tetapi masih bagus untuk mendengar pendapat orang asing jika ia murah untuk keadaan mereka.

Compared to Amsterdam or other west European cities it’s affordable. I say affordable because the food in restaurants and Malls are almost up to European prices. The clothes are more expensive than here in the Netherlands. Especially high end clothes/bags as LV, Celine, Max Mara, Dior, Gucci are here in the Netherlands cheaper up to 30%. I’ll never purchase any high end products in Malaysia. Wait! I did I bought a Dior sunglasses and got some discount in TRX Mall 😅 And yes it’s still more expensive than here in the Netherlands 😂 Only the Amouage parfum is 50 Euro cheaper than here in the Netherlands 😂 For clothing, brands, jewelry, Europe is CHEAPER! But for staying in served apartment at the Golden Triangle it’s very affordable. Kuala Lumpur is a city you can make it Expensive or on a budget. The most tourist are on a budget. But Malaysia deserves tourists who spend more money. The difference between Europe and South/East Asia is that it’s almost impossible to have a low budget holiday in Europe but you can have in Malaysia. Is it cheap? No is it affordable? Depends on YOU 🤑🫵🏻
