LRT = Light rail transit, its built during the 1990s to move people from subhurb to city, so it was not made for high capacity but for moving people quickly, but now the station area is developed which brings more crowd. MRT = Mass Rapid Transit for moving masses of people, this is the true metro model with bigger trains. Monorail is cheap to construct and can go through deep and tight city areas where normal trains cannot go. KTM is commuter system with heavy-train on ground rails which is used for region to region transit, it's the oldest railway in Malaysia. It also shares freight and intercity lines. ERL is semi-high speed airport link using german made european standard low floor trains for high speed. BRT is a fully elevated bus line which acts like a people mover system, like the one in Singapore LRT. Hopefully this helps to clear the naming scheme.
To be specific....the one that you ride is actually LRT light rail transit 😅 MRT train can accommodate more people usually.....I know I know our train system can be complicated sometimes 😅

Welcome to Malaysia. Hope you enjoy your travel here. Please ignore the annoying name-calling remarks about Malaysia from haters, usually from indonesia. We are used to these unkind comments. Just ignore them. We have many migrant workers, legal and illegal in Malaysia.

Welcome to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 🇲🇾 It's monsoon season, it rains mostly everyday, you should have done research about our country before coming here.. it's a simple and sophisticated, chill and laid back Kuala Lumpur 🇲🇾🌺♥️😊
The earliest LRT lines and stations were all built in Malay majority areas in the 1990's eventhough the population density doesn't justify it. Kampung Bharu is one of them. That was during Mahathir's era. Lots of racist policies from him.
What is the problem with train and Malay majority area? do you know Kampung Baru is now a tourist attraction area?? or you just being racist communist china man mentality?

Whenever I'm going to KLCC I'll take the lrt direct from where I'm staying. Super convenient. And to other destinations within the transit coverage
It really is one of the best ways to get around KL!
